Chapter 65
Blake's POV
"I do forgive you, Blake. I love you so much," Rylie said as she threw herself into my arms, crashing her lips against mine as she did. I was delighted of course and kissed her back fiercely but for some reason it didn't feel right.
All of a sudden, I felt someone's hand in my pants and that was when I jerked awake to find Kristen sitting beside me on the bed. My eyes widened and I struggled to catch my breath.
"Kristen, what the fuck?" I yelled, aware of what she'd tried to do.
She didn't seem particularly remorseful, in fact she seemed kinda annoyed. In response to my question, she just shrugged. "Nothing that we haven't done before."
I rolled my eyes and struggled to stay calm and not erupt at her. "What does that fucking mean? Yes we slept together but now you were practically trying to force yourself on me. That's rape, Kristen."
"It's not rape if you're a guy," she rolled her eyes, arms akimbo.
"You were trying to force yourself on me. That's rape! You know what? I don't care. Get out!" I roared, pointing to the door.
"But Blake," she pouted and slowly began advancing towards me, "why are you being so cold to me? You used to like it when I took the first move. Look, I get it. You don't want anything to do with me and I understand that but I missed you, okay? Derrick was never as good as you were. And guess what? Rylie doesn't have to know about it."
"She doesn't?" I queried.
"Mhmm. It'll be our little secret." She winked suggestively.
"Guess what? I don't frigging care. Get the fuck out of my room right now or else!" I ended on a threatening note.
"Or else what? What are you going to do to me?" she countered defiantly.
I leaned in such that I loomed over her with an imposing manner. "Trust me, Kristen when I say that you don't want to know. Now I'd advice to leave my room immediately and be thankful that I'm only throwing you out of my room and not out of my house. Even that would be better than what I have planned for you. It's your choice."
Less than two seconds later, Kristen had bolted out of my room, barely closing the door behind me. It was only after I'd locked the door that I was able to breathe freely. But the time I laid back in bed, I found that I didn't feel so sleepy anymore.
Damn Kristen! I thought angrily.
Laying down in bed waiting to fall asleep, I thought back to what had just happened and shuddered. How I had ever thought myself in love with this girl, someone like Kristen was entirely beyond me.
I could still remember the very day that I first saw her. I was about twelve and I was auditioning for a role in a movie as was she. It was sort of an instant connection between us. Up until now, I still don't understand what exactly caused her to change. How exactly did she go from sweet and innocent to mean and devious? It was a total mystery to me.
Of course, I had no more feelings for Kristen but in a way, I still felt kinda of sad for her. It was weird but Kristen had been through a lot so even while I hated her, a part of me still felt bad for her because of r everything that'd happened to her.
Eventually, without even realizing it, I dozed off and fell into a sound sleep.

The next morning, I woke up a little later than I intended which could all be owed up to the interruption of somebody in the middle of the night. I was able to catch up though and Rylie and I were soon on our way to the set. Kristen had of course tried to tag along with us but didn't after I pointed to her car and called her back to my warning to her in the night.
"So...did Kristen give you any trouble?" Rylie swiveled her head to the side, taking her time to ask.
"Yes, she did but you don't have to worry about it. I told her off so she's gonna leave us alone for a bit," I squeezed her hand and winked.
"That's nice. I'm happy to hear that." She gave me a sweet smile like she was proud of me or something before she looked back ahead. I did same with a big grin of my face, happy to have made her proud. That sounded weird but it was true.
On arriving on set, I learnt that I was to film another scene with Kristen which of course wasn't surprising since she was the female lead but that didn't make me any less happy to do it. But on remembering that after this, she would be out of my life for good, I pushed all my emotions aside and got to work. It was great and we finished the scene in a few takes.
I had another scene to act which happened to take a lot of time because it was a pretty emotional scene that involved my character, Chase confronting his father about a particularly dark secret that he'd kept from him.
It took several dozen takes before we were finally able to get the scene right and it also happened to be my last scene of the day which meant that I could watch Rylie act since her scene was up next. Unfortunately, it was with Kristen.
A few minutes before they were to start filming, I decided to take time out to warn Kristen just in case she tried to do anything to Rylie while they were filming.
As I walked into her dressing room, I could see the surprise written clearly on her face which she was quick to mask with a smirk.
"Does this mean you've changed your mind about us?" she remarked smugly as the makeup artist continued applying blush to her cheeks.
"Can we have some privacy please?" I requested of the stylist. She glanced at Kristen who motioned for her to leave with a wave of her hand so she did.
"Sooo what exactly brings you here, Mr. Weston?" she swiveled around to face me on her chair, crossing her legs under the long robe she was wearing.
I scoffed and rolled my eyes at her. "You can cut the bull crap now, Kristy. Your little robe thing isn't turning me on."
"Well I never planned for it to turn you on. I was already wearing it before you came in...and did I just hear you call me ‘Kristy’? The same name you used to call me when we were dating? Are you sure you're completely over me?" she drawled with a smug look on her face.
"You're delusional, KRISTY," I said with much emphasis, "but I really don't have the time for it. I'm actually here to talk about Rylie."
On hearing my words, Kristen knitted her brows and a frown draped her features. She swiveled back to face the large mirror that was placed in front of her and twiddled with the brush that the stylist had left behind.
"It always has to be about Rylie. In fact, I'm not sure that we've ever had a conversation that wasn't centered around her. Why exactly is that?" she sounded a little hurt even though I could see the bored expression on her face from the mirror.
"Because I actually care about her. Because other than her, why exactly would I choose to be in the same room with you?"
Okay, a little harsh but she more than deserved it for what she put me through.
I could see Kristen visibly exhale shakily before she whirled around to face me with yet another smug smirk.
"You want to know what I find funny? It's that while you're here being all valiant to try and help a girl that's not your girlfriend, that same girl is happily entertaining a guy in her dressing room," she divulged, her eyes mocking me as she spoke.
"What do you mean by that?" I slowly advanced towards her.
"Absolutely nothing but you can put together the pieces."
"Kristen, if you're lying, I swear to God–" I roared but she cut in with "Do I have any reason to lie? Okay, I do but I'm not lying now. You can go check her out for yourself. Her dressing room is just a few doors away after all."
I stepped back and was already leaving when she called out, "Oh, and can you tell the guy he's cute. Perhaps he would mind dumping Little Miss Goody Two Shoes to get with me if you know what I'm saying."
I merely grunted in reply and swiftly made my way over to Rylie's dressing room. Though hesitant to enter at first, I eventually gathered up the courage to do so and opened up the door to find Rylie and Asher in each other's arms...kissing?Download Novelah App

My favorite part is when Rylie and Blake were dating again, of course! My favorite character was the first director that handled Rylies’ first movie, hahaha! Thanks to him Rylie had her confidence up high! The saddest part was the death of Grandma Nellie. I hate Logan, a pervert idiot never deserves to be free from jail again.😏 The ending? Stop it, Rylie and Blake really needs to be the godmother and godfather of Nellie, hahaha. All over, I was fanning crazy about this novel!♡
