Chapter 69
Rylie's POV
As Blake and I made our way into the house, the party was already in full swing. Everything that usually went on in these kinds of parties was going on; the loud music, teenagers dancing and gyrating their bodies to the music being played, some making out by the walls and in corners and others drunk and passed out in the corner.
Yup, just your typical high school party.
We made our way through the sea of dancing bodies to the kitchen where we ran into Olivia and Mason making out. Ironically at the beginning of the school term, I'd also walked in on Olivia making out with Myles making out in Logan's house at a party just like this.
"Hey you guys," I yelled interrupting their moment with a big wide grin on my face.
"Jeez Rylie! What fucking gives?" Olivia shot me a nasty glare.
"Just trying to prevent you from becoming a teenage mother, honey," I teased with a wink.
Olivia narrowed her eyes at me before turning to Blake. "You seem normal. Welcome to the party, Blake."
"Blakey. He goes by Blakey now," I chimed in.
"No, I do not. I don't!" he repeated narrowing his eyes at me. I smiled and winked at him in an "I don't care!" fashion as I reached for the chips behind him.
And so the night went on with Blake and I hanging out together with Olivia and Mason to acting like the frenemies we used to be and teasing each other to chasing off girls who kept trying to approach Blake because they still thought we were no longer together.
Yeah, it was all fun and games until it wasn't...
Blake, after much prodding from me had gone to hang out with the football guys while I sat on the couch waiting for him. I preoccupied myself by scrolling away on my phone.
While waiting, I was approached by Asher of all people. As soon as I sighted him, I decided to pretend as though I didn't notice him and focused all my attention on what I was reading. Unfortunately, he didn't get the hint and occupied the space beside me.
"Didn't think I'd see you here," he commented after taking a sip of the drink in his hand.
"And why is that?" I demanded to know.
"Well you were never really a fan of parties especially not Logan's back when we were together," he started to reminisce.
"Yeah. You knew that and still always guilt tripped me into going."
He frowned and glanced at me. "I didn't guilt trip you into doing anything, Rylie. I would have happily stayed back at home with you instead of attending a party."
"Whatever," I rolled my eyes. "What do you want from me, Asher?"
"I thought we were friends, Rylie. Can't friends talk to each other at parties anymore?" he pouted sadly at me.
"Maybe if those friends weren't continuously hanging out with the ex girlfriend of their friend's boyfriend. What are you guys planning, Asher? Did Kristen threaten you into helping her?"
"I have no idea what you're talking about and it's probably time I leave anyway." He rose from the couch but I stood up with him and stopped him from leaving. "You do know what I'm talking about, Asher. Come on, Ash. Tell me!"
"We didn't plan anything, okay? Or are you the only one allowed to move on? Huh!"
Then he walked away. But I was now quite sure that he and Kristen had something planned. I just had to find out what it was. I went back to the couch and pulled out my phone to call Blake.
Surprisingly, he didn't pick the call. I called him over and over again but he still didn't answer. Now I was a bit worried.
I rose from the couch and checked all the rooms on the lower floor including the basement but no sign of Blake.
I'd just come out of the basement when I ran into yet another person that I would have preferred to avoid: Logan, the host.
"Hey there, Rylie. You look good," he complimented but I could see him lick his lips. I fought the urge that arose to punch him and instead forced a smile. "Thanks Logan. Could you excuse me please?"
"Wait Rylie, Blake asked me to bring you."
As soon as I heard Blake, I was at full attention and piped up, "You know where Blake is?"
"Yeah. He asked me to bring you to him."
"Read? Why?" I eyed him skeptically.
Logan smiled, "It's a surprise."
"Really?" I asked again since I still didn't fully trust him.
"Yes really. Now come on," he motioned for me to follow him. I did and together, we made our way through the crowd of teenagers up the stairs where the bedrooms were located.
Most of the doors were closed but I had a pretty good idea what was going on inside the rooms.
"Are you sure Blake asked you to bring me here?" I asked again.
"Yes, Rylie. He's in there." He pointed at an open door just ahead of us and gestured for me to go in. I was still skeptical but I entered the room to find it clean and the bed was made with a single rose placed on it.
I smiled and walked over to the bed to pick the rose. There was a note placed under the note which I picked up as well. Still smiling, I opened up the note only to find the words, "Tricked you!" written on it.
I was still confused when I suddenly heard the door being locked behind me. I turned around to find Logan standing by the door with a devilish smirk on his face.
That was when I finally understood what was going on. I really had been tricked.
"Now that you're here and all mine, let's have some fun, shall we?" he drawled and began to unbuckle his belt. Oh crap!Download Novelah App

My favorite part is when Rylie and Blake were dating again, of course! My favorite character was the first director that handled Rylies’ first movie, hahaha! Thanks to him Rylie had her confidence up high! The saddest part was the death of Grandma Nellie. I hate Logan, a pervert idiot never deserves to be free from jail again.😏 The ending? Stop it, Rylie and Blake really needs to be the godmother and godfather of Nellie, hahaha. All over, I was fanning crazy about this novel!♡
