Arya felt that this conversation is the most intelligent conversation of her life.
She had completely exceeded her expectations and with her chaotic brain, when she looked into Jack’s eyes, she suddenly became clear-headed.
“Arya, now what kind of relationship do we have?”  Jack brought up another problem.
What relationship?  Of course, she was also not clear.  How should they describe this unclear relationship between them?
After thinking for a long time, she still could not think of a suitable answer and she shamelessly tossed the problem back to Jack.
“What do you say?”
Jack decisively said without any hesitation.  “Boyfriend and girlfriend.”
“Wrong!”
“Then why ask me?”  He twitched his mouth, feeling very dissatisfied.
She thought for a while and then said.  “Let’s do it this way.  Pretend we have gone on a blind date today.  After going on a blind date, we will do what should be done normally and we will take it from there.  It this is successful, then we will be together.  If this fails, then this blind date is considered a failure.  What do you think?”
“I don’t go on blind dates with people I know.”
When Jack saw her staring at him studying his expression, he changed his words.  “Okay……after the blind-date, what should we do?  We should go for a date, go for dinner, go for a movie, hold hands and kiss, then go to bed and get married.”
“How can the steps turn so fast?  And also your perception for the last two things is wrong.  They are not in order.”
“They are almost the same and both can be done together.  And based on our relationship, other than the last two, we have basically done everything else.”
She ignored his cheekiness and asked.  “Dr. Jack, what do you usually do after a blind-date?”
“For those that I don’t need to give them face, I’ll tell them to look for someone else and for those that I have to give them face, I’ll tell them I’ll contact them when I’m free.  After that, I will never have free time.”
“Then doesn’t your family keep asking you how you’re getting on in your relationship?”  In fact, she was constantly troubled by her family on this matter.
“Well, my family is quite subtle.”
“As compared to you?”
“Arya, what has this to do with our current situation?  Are you picking on me again?”
She muttered and said his words were indeed not subtle, therefore everyone around him seemed to be more polite and reserved.
Jack looked as if he was having a headache and rubbing his forehead, he said.  “I really don’t know what you are thinking.  Arya, my reaction is slow today, and my mind is unable to turn.  Don’t you dare seize this opportunity to show your disdain.” 
“I’m just curious and wanted to do a comparison of differences between our two families.”
“Is there any difference?”  He said.  “Blind dating is just a man and a woman sitting there, calculating each other’s qualities and thoughts.  Just like the both of us now, counting how much I like you, am I true to you and how long will our relationship last.  I am concerned about you who obviously loves me to death but you are refusing to let me settle this and the problem between us.”  Jack stared at her and with an expression like he wanted to bite her.  Arya quickly moved further backward.
There was nothing wrong with her thoughts and all women in the world also think the same.  Does he love her?  How much does he love her?  How long will he love her?  Of course, all these questions are very important.  But what does he mean by ‘settle’?  Arya wondered.
“Just like the last two things I said.”  Jack said without any embarrassment.
Go to bed and then get married?  Men really have a robust roguish heart but since he had mentioned ‘marriage’ she can at least consider he is not a total rogue.
“Dr. Jack, the way you said this shows you are insincere.”  She knows he has an uncouth mouth, is thick-skin and has deep-rooted habits, therefore this statement is definitely not said against him.  She just could not help but only wanted to correct his attitude.
“So you consider Jay Dunphy who brought his mother along and made you hide in the toilet calling for help is sincere?  Then I will also bring my mother tomorrow and you can name the place and time.”
Arya was shocked and jumped with fright.  Does he need to bring out his mother…..such a powerful weapon?  She hurriedly waved her hand and said.  “I’m going to work tomorrow.”
“Then tomorrow night after work.”
“After work, I’ll be too tired and I want to go home to rest.”
“Then the day after tomorrow.  It’s a Saturday and you don’t need to go to work on weekends.”
“But I have an appointment.”  She nearly had to wipe her cold sweat.  The appointment was made at the appropriate time.
Jack narrowed his eyes.  Very good……they had carried on with such a meaningless talk for so long and finally he could talk on another topic.
“With who?”
“Chandler.”
This is really an important point!
Jack immediately said.  “I also want to go.”
“No.  We are friends going out for a dinner.  It will be impolite to take you along.”
“A man and a woman going out for dinner is a date and not a good thing.”
“Who said so?  I also had dinner with you.”
“That’s why we have this current situation.”  Jack said and received a supercilious look from Arya.  He continued.  “Since we have completed our blind-date, then you should not go on a blind date with another man.  This is impolite.”
“You’re correct.  Since I have gone on a blind-date with Chandler first, then I shouldn’t be blind-dating with you.”  In other words, Dr. Jack…, you are still in the queue behind others.
“Jay, Chandler and then you, Dr. Jack.”
Jack stared blankly.  He began to rub his nose and then rubbed his forehead.  “Arya, I request for an alternative date to battle with you.  You can’t bully me while I’m sick.”
She agreed. She also felt that they should battle this out on another day.  She had said enough for today and had expressed enough. 
It is better to withdraw while the going is good and to carry on talking, she will feel very happy.  If she feels too happy, she is afraid she may do something stupid again.
She is not playing games with Jack.  In her heart, this is a serious matter between both of them and she must take this seriously.
That whole night nothing happened and she slept soundly.
The next afternoon, she received a call from Jack.  “Arya, in order to reflect my sincerity and my intention of currying your favor, I specially bought you something that I don’t like but something you like very much as a gift to you.”
The first thing she thought of was big box of chocolates  An image cropped up in her mind, a beautiful packaging tied with ribbons…...ai……this seems a little romantic.  She felt a little sweet and asked excitedly.  “What is it?”
“Actually, I wanted to give it to you today but you told me you are not free to see me today, so I won’t be going over to your place to send it to you.”
What?  She was stunned for a moment and realized that he was taking revenge on her.
“Do you still have appointments tomorrow?  then you will not be free again.  It’s a pity I can’t send it over to you again.”  His stuffy nose sounded better but his pretentious voice tone was very obvious.
She felt her breath blocked up and was unable to speak.  This petty man is really annoying!
“If you don’t have an appointment tomorrow, I’ll send it over to you.  What do you think?”
“There’s nothing to think about.  I’ve already made an appointment and I can’t go back on my words.”  She is a woman of integrity.
“Alright then.”  Jack said with a tone that seems to say ‘I couldn’t care less.’
“You have to decide what you want to do and I will wait for you to take the initiative to contact me, then only will I meet you.”
He wants her to take the initiative to contact him?  Arya wanted to give him a big bite…..this dead man is so proud and arrogant!
However, thinking about chocolates he brought?  Arya was almost drooling.  
“I’ll wait for your call.”  Jack said coolly and hung up.
She felt so angry that she jabbed at the head of Mr. Poisonous tongue's picture on her phone screen.   What?   How could he whet her appetite like this?  Annoying, really annoying!  She will definitely go for that appointment and she will not call him.
But Arya did not expect matters would change and something unexpected would happen.
First, when it was approaching noon, she received a call from Chandler saying that a friend had suddenly fallen sick and was admitted into the hospital.  He had to make a visit and was unable to have lunch with her.
Arya immediately thought of the choclates and she pushed the idea to the back of her mind.  She offered a few words of comfort to Chandler and told him not to feel bad about canceling the appointment.  Chandler replied and said that later, he would make another appointment with her and hung up.
Arya sat down on the sofa and was distracted for a while.  She really wanted to know whether Jack had bought her chocolates but she also felt that to look for him, she would lose face.  In the end, she decided that women must have strong character and today, she must not look for him and she must not let him feel too proud of himself.  It was not easy for her to win a round and she must maintain her position.
She walked a circle round the house and there was nothing for her to clean.  Sophia had left a note to say she was taking a trip out of the city and Arya was alone in the house feeling a bit bored.  To pass time, she decided to go to the market to buy some vegetables and cook a meal to occupy her time so she will think less of him.  When she has something to eat, she will also think less of a him.
But she wanted to buy chicken but in the end, she restrained from buying the items.  She bought vegetables that she likes to eat.
She carried the vegetables home and reminded herself to remain calm while she was cooking.  She told herself to calm down, must not be impulsive, take things naturally and must think clearly.  If Jack is to be her boyfriend, then she must be serious about falling in love…..a love that will result in them getting married and living together.  A love that will result in them holding hands and growing old together.
So now she cannot be muddled headed and hope she can keep herself sober and consider all aspects.  She even wondered whether she should make a list and write down all possible problems that may arise between them, then solve them one by one and then only make a decision?
Until she had finished eating the meal, washed the dishes and when she sat down on the sofa immersed in her thoughts, she still had not decided whether she should make out the list.  Because she was thinking of all this in her head, she could not think of anything that needed to be solved.  Her head was full of his handsome smiles, his infuriating way of speaking, his figure in his big white coat, his bowed head when he was seriously writing out medical records, his flamboyant but ugly writing…….
While she was thinking, she felt sleepy and was about to fall asleep when suddenly the doorbell rang.
Could it be him?  She immediately jumped up but her excitement quickly died down.  This could not be Jack.  She did not tell him her appointment was canceled.  He could not be here at this time to knock on the door of an empty house.
Arya went to open the door and saw a stranger……a girl about twenty-two years old standing outside.
“Who are you looking for?”  She asked.
“Looking for you.”  The girl appeared to be a little nervous and a little arrogant.
An unpredictable premonition suddenly rose in Arya’s heart and her heart was jumping fiercely.
“Who are you?”  She asked again.
“The man you love……is mine.”
Arya was dumbstruck.  Her heart raced even faster.  This could not be…….such an unfortunate thing can actually happen to her?
She looked at the girl……stylish, beautiful and poised.  She is indeed the type that Jack likes.  But she had seen Shelly before, so this girl could not be Mr. Poison Tongue first love.  Then who is this girl to Jack?  Which one of his past loves is this girl?  But she is so young, is she one of his current blind-dates?
However, he had said clearly he was not entangled with his blind-date and he had said he had already made it clear to the other party and his family.
Arya’s fury surged upwards and she had never encountered such a thing before.  At that moment, she felt her head was empty and she actually could not think of anything.
“I thought you are very hot and sexy but you are only just okaish pretty.”  The girl gritted her teeth, "both of us are women.  Whatever that had happened, we already know, so it is not necessary to make it into such a shameless matter.  The man is greedy but now he is mine.  I must let you know clearly about this.”
“Stop, stop…..stop!”  Arya felt dizzy and her scalp began to feel numb.  She quickly waved her hand and did not let the girl carry on talking.
She took a deep breath and tried hard to organize her words.  “Miss, I don’t know you.  I don’t think I have anything to discuss with you.  To be honest, I’m not good at talking, and I’m unable to cope with someone who comes knocking on my door to provoke me about this kind of matter.  Since you also know this is shameless, I suggest that the man come over and speak for himself clearly.”
Arya went back into her house to take her phone and her hands were shaking with anger.  In front of the girl, she called Jack.  The other side quickly picked up the call and Jack smirked and asked.  “You are contacting me so soon?”
She had no intention of talking nonsense with him and she asked him directly.  “Are you at work?”
“No.  I’m at home.”
“Good.  Come to my house right now!”  Her voice sounded severe.
“What’s wrong?!”  Jack was puzzled.
“One of your girlfriends is here!”  She roared loudly and cut the call.
