Chapter 23 Kidnapping A Knowledgeable Taxi Driver

FESTUS' BETAS
"Guys, wake up." Austin taps each of them and they spring up from the ground. "We have been sleeping like goats."
"Oh ..." Richard dusts his cloth, and all other people jerk up.
"I didn't sleep." Alexander says, rubbing his red eyes and yawning. "I only dozed."
"Idiot." Douglas mutters.
"Let's go guys." Austin commands, and they march away from the wilderness and they get out of the school entirely. The six of them mope around the street, thinking of the best car to get into.
Austin leaves them suddenly, and crosses to the other road. He flags down a taxi, and motions to his guys to cross as well. But the streets become very busy and so, it would take some minutes before they would get an express way to cross through.
Austin gets into the cab but notices it's extra large, like bigger than other cabs are. The taxi driver comes inside the cab, and sits, "Where are others?" He asks.
"They need to cross over here." He replies. "Please, just wait a little bit."
"Okay." The driver sniffles, and rests his head on the steering. After two minutes, he lifts his head up, and asks him, "Not here yet?"
"I guess so."
"Dang! Maybe I'd have to find some more customers."
"You wanna dump me?" Austin asks.
"Wanna betray me?" He says this in a low tone.
"No! Betray, you say?" The driver stares back at him. "I'm not that Alpha."
"What Alpha?" Austin asks, questioningly.
"Alpha Festus." The driver says. "I escaped from his pack when I discovered he sold it to pay his debt to one kind of Elf."
"Wow." Austin exclaims, and sees his mates scooting over to get to the car. "I'm his Beta, wow! May we talk?"
"You were his Beta." The driver corrects, and grabs the steering. Austin knocks on his forehead from behind him in the car as his mates enter into the car one by one. Once they finish entering, they sigh indicating different moods.
"Are those your gammas?" The driver asks, preening himself in front of the side mirror.
"My Beta mates." Austin retorts. Richard's the one sitting right beside the Driver so he sighs in confusion.
"I don't understand?" He faces Austin.
"This is one of the escapees from Festus' pack." Austin retorts. "We can get some information from him."
"Oh, no." The driver purrs. "I was just joking."
Richard scoffs. "We were Festus' Betas. If you can cooperate with us, you'll be glad you did."
Others in the car starts to bicker about a subject while Austin and Richard attend to the man.
"Where exactly are you going?" The driver asks. "Please."
"London." Austin replies. "United Kingdom's capital state."
"Oh no, you don't have to take a cab then." The man complains. "Please, get down. You all."
Austin knocks on his forehead from his back again, and whispers into his ears, "We would take you back to the pack. Trust us, we are six. So, you had better cooperate..." He pauses.
"Will you stop bickering?" He shrieks at the other four, and they turn that into grunting.
"...cooperate and drive us there." Richard completes Austin's paused statement.
"I have my rights. Why do you wanna use violence on me?" The man protests. "I'll call the cops now and they'll arrest you."
"Cops, you say?" Austin scoffs. "This is more than cops. Though all packs are in wilderness and deserts, cops can't barge in and move out, unscathed."
"Then, get the fuck out of my car!!!" He hits the steering, and Richard hits him with his palm.
"Do you wanna call for attention?" Austin asks, and whines the glasses up and covers that area with black curtain.
"Hey!" Alexander calls Austin. "That would make anyone suspect."
"Dude." Austin replies Alexander. "You all, drag this man to the back seat."
As the man is being dragged in the car, he wants to yell but Richard tucks his hands into his throat and they finally dump him at the back seat with three of them sit beside him lest he escapes through the booth. Those three are Douglas, Alexander and Austin but Austin replies whatsoever question Richard needs an answer to. The man keeps quiet and hums as Richard drives them to London itself. The dead end. The airport.
"Austin, don't you think you need to be here with me?" Richard complains. "Let one of these two sitting behind me support the two with the dude."
"But..." Austin retorts. "Well, okay." Then he proceeds to sit beside Richard who's driving.
"What's the next way?!" Richard yells at him, and zooms into the streets.
"According to the map..." Alexander says from behind. "...we aren't far from the airport. It would only take two more hours."
The man hits Alexander on his head, and he retaliates by dashing him slaps. Then, they start to beat themselves.
"No one's in high school anymore." Douglas says. "Let's all behave mature, please."
Alfred has been keeping quiet for a long time; he's been thinking of a lot of questions to ask the man.
"Alfred, you're dead?" Richard says, his palms seeming sweaty. "You haven't said a word."
"Not only me." He replies. "Well, I was wondering why you went ahead with your plan without telling me."
"We thought you're in support; so we didn't bother you any more." Austin replies, and Alfred sighs.
Soon, Richard swerves this steering and shifts the gear for the last U-turn.
"Not there yet?" The man asks, haggardly. "The demon in me needs to be released."
Douglas shudders, wants to retort but his lips quaver.
"The demon in me needs to take control now. Get there on time." He repeats all over again, three Betas getting scared while three getting happier and less scared.
Finally, Richard swerves to the north direction and heads towards the nearest parking lot.
"You can get down now." Richard says, resting his head on the steering. "Austin, help the dude out and take them through the Hallway. I'll meet you in the restroom."
"Sure." Austin says, and acts so.
GEORGE WITH KELLIE, AWESTRUCK BY COLE'S APPEARANCE.
"It's Cole. Do you want me in my mortal body?" Kelvin asks, letting Kellie shudder.
"It's that same guy we forgot to tag along." George gathers up energy in him, and whispers to Kellie.
"Please, reveal yourself in your mortal body." George pleads, scooping out Kellie's blossoms and moaning.
"With being a dirty dude?" Kelvin retorts, and clicks his tongue.
"She's my mate, please." George corrects. "I can do whatever I want with her."
Kellie flings his hands away, and pleads with him to suspend his desires.
Then, Cole appears through the wall as he spits on George's forehead. George giggles, making sure Kellie has worn all her clothes and in the right way. He wouldn't want another to see the golden instruments his mate has, on her body.
"Cole, how did you get here?" Kellie snickers, and smiles.
"We came together." Cole says, and lays on the bed. Kellie wipes the spit off of George's forehead and George kisses her forehead in return.
"Pardon?"
"I, Kelvin, followed you. The white wolf hunched me to his back." He explains. "You each clutched onto a white wolf though you, George, hesitantly did but all the best, I clogged onto the third one in front of you."
"It's okay." Kellie replies. "It's so nice to have you here. George's been regretting why he didn't wait for you."
"Cool. By the way, I have a major intention for coming here."
George sits up in bed, and Kellie shrugs, motioning to him to shoot. Shoot his ideas.
"I discovered that the wasteland is right over there."
"Oh, yes. Yeah!" George and Kellie reply, slowly but hastily.
"Once you have the demon in you, you're free to barge into the wall and do whatever you want. They respect demons."
"You said that." George replies. Cole spits on his forehead again, and chuckles afterwards.
"But, why do you keep on doing that shit?" Kellie wipes the spit off of George's face again.
"He does get on my nerves just so damn often!" Cole slightly yells. "Well, I'll be going there for some businesses. You can have a nice day."
Without waiting for their response, he transforms into Kelvin and leaves through the walls.
Then, Kimberly knocks on the door.
"Kellie, you there?" Kimberly says with a soft tone. Kellie springs up from bed with immediate effect, and jerks the door open.
"Mum!!" She exhales sharply as she hugs her mum tightly. Kimberly sobs, and takes her to the joint room.
Getting there, she tells her, "You're not going anywhere anymore. You must wait here so you won't get lost again."
"Yes, mum." Kellie pouts her lips, and George walks in, moodily.
"What's wrong, George?" Charles stands up from the bed, and hugs him. After releasing themselves from the hug, the expression on George's face changes to a bright smiling one.
And as he sits on the bed, Kelvin enters through the door and squats beside George. Only George can see him, so others don't get scared.
They only think of the next line of action. How to overcome Kellie from getting lost in one way or the other, without limiting her progress be it academical, financial, wolf/spiritual.
