My mind kept playing tricks on me, as I swiftly made my way out to the car, oblivious to mu surroundings, an Incoming car came out of nowhere and almost ran me over, I stood there like a drenched chicken and met the owner of the car, "are you mad! Trying to get yourself killed?". He says, as our eyes met as one, " Alvin". I called out suprised to see him, he filled up the distance and before tying to alter a single word, a drop to the floor unconscious.
"Lisa!! Are you okay" ( fear grips on his face as he rushed me over to the hospital, without anyone knowing about it.)
The doctor, walked out after running some check on me and said, "there's nothing to worry about, she will be fine" the doctor said and lefts us alone at the room.
A while later,I regained consciousness, decerning Alvin seated beside me, he shoots me an odd smile, "are you okay?" ( He says)
"Yeah" i answered trying to lie my way though, yet he thought otherwise, "miss danger please,tell me, you can trust me remember?". ( He tries to get me to speak the truth, but still I couldn't bring myself to telling him the truth, "nothing Alvin, am just exhausted"? ( Another white lie)
He eyes me suspiciously and seeing how adamant I was from not saying the truth, he backed down and went on to call mom.
Afterwards,  hearing the news , mom, rushed in to my ward with Tori behind, "dear what happened?" She inquired, thus my eyes drifts away to infern Juilan ambling in with flowers in his hand.
"Oh my goodness!!! What happened to you sister in law?" ( He placed the flowers at the side).
"Shit!!! You're a dick" ( that's my head talking).
Tori moves my eyes away from him, "are you okay sis?".
"Yes!!! I am okay" I faked a smile and returned my eyes away from her.
( Inaudible conversation)
( Back home)
Alvin took me home and carried me up to my room, he laid me down on the bed and watched me keep quitely, thus after a while left me alone.
The second his feet faded away, I got up from the bed and sneaked out to the storage room, where we kept dad's picture.
I pushed the door open, and locked myself in.
"What am I going to do?* I spoke to the picture frame staring at me, what will dad do if he was still alive?, What will happen if Tori ends up getting married to a man like juilan!!! What am I going to do dad?. ( Kept speaking to the picture)
"Please help me dad!!! I don't know what do do? How will I help my mom?" ( Tears rolls down my eyes as I continued talking)
A few head count, I left to back to my room, and forced myself to sleep.
"My heart's fire?".
Somehow I took heed of a masculine voice calling, I unlocked their eyes and saw a familiar face smiling at me.
"Dad" jerked up and locked the distance between us, "how are you!! My dear?" He says and pulled me a step backwards.
"Am not fine dad!!! Everything changed the moment you left us, I have changed and have fought so many battle to stay alive and now, Tori is about getting married to a very bad man". ( A frown drops on my face)
"Is that all?* He asked and watched me jiggle my head, "yes dad".
He pulled me back to the bed and said, " that shouldn't be a bother to my child?"...
"I don't understand dad?"
So he adds up his words to me, "you are my daughter and heart's never give up on lives challenges, and I do know, no matter what happens, you're going to find a way and save your sister.
"How dad?" I asked
"You will eventually, find a way and yes!! Don't forget that, you're hearts fire; and my daughter doesn't give up without a fight".
( He smiles and snap me back to the real world)
It felt good seeing dad, and his right, they don't call me hearts fire for no reason, and now if juilan thinks he could get me by faking a video, his mistaking, but first, I'll have to find who juilan truly is ( eyes locked as the Chapter ends----)
The following morning, I went for a morning jog, but not just any normal one, rather s chance to know who Julian is!..
Thus the second I boarded a taxi, it stops at the building of Julian's home...
For a safe distance, I watched and hoped to gain something from this.
Thus after a while, he gets into his car and drives away, I told the taxi driver to follow that car and he drove immediately after a few headcounts and trialed him to a Rodge wood cliff.
"What's he doing here?" I asked myself, that's when the pending question, got its answer when a man walks into the scene.
"Hello, sir?" Julian says with his head placed downstairs. My eyes poked further, thus dropped a startled look on, the minute I came to confirm the man he was speaking with.
"Mr. Ajay is back from the mental asylum?". I asked myself as they both talked together.
Mr. Ajay says, "so tell me, what's the update?"
Julian, I'm return told on everything and when he mentioned my name, a frown falls on his face
"Urgh!! Lisa heart, that girl is a danger to us all, we need to take her out", he says.
"But how sir!! Do you mean *
With a shocked look on, Julian asked him.
"Yes, I mean find a way to kill her once again". Mr. Ajay affirmed his words.
Julian withdrew backward and said, "no sir! Killing Lisa isn't something I could do, how about we do something else"
"Something else like what?" He adds up and waits for him to speak.
So he said, "sir!! Lisa's heart is the reason why Alvin got back his inheritance and why there are still United, but if we want to break such unity, we will have to create a misunderstanding between them, and the first person on my list, is Tori!! She loves her sister so much and trusts me, willing to do anything for her but, if we can create a rift between the two sisters, I can be able to erase Lisa's memories and get the job done".
( Got a shocking face heeding to his words)
Mr. Ajay clapped and without hesitation, asked that he does everything according to plan, but most especially get me out of the picture.
( Smiles his way out of the secen)
Before Julian Walked back to his car, I ran back to the taxi and it drives away.
Indeed I was right not to trust Julian, the moment my eyes fall on him, and I should have known that Mr. Ajay will not give up without a fight, hence if he wishes to destroy my family, then I'll have to find a way and get Julian out of lives, he has no idea who's messing with. ( Frown)
( Back home)
Sister" Tori calls out to me the second my feet ambled into the house, I turned my eyes and answered, "yes sister!! Do you perhaps need anything?" I said and watched her fill up the distance between us.
She eyes me suspiciously, " are you okay?" ( Yet again with her same question)
"Yes, I am" that's my reeling lie because if telling her what I just saw, she won't believe me.
"Hmm! I feel you're acting strange sis!  Are you not happy that am getting married?"
( She added to her words)
"Yes, I am not ( that's my head talking, thus my mouth weaves out a different answer) "of cause, not sister, I am glad that you've finally found the one whom you love, and if dad was here, he would have given you a huge kiss, seeing how much he loves you".
"You mean how much he loved us" ( she rephrased my words)
"Yes!! How much he loved us ( I affirmed and smiled my way to the room).
I walked past mom's room and found her talking to dad's picture, she was so engulfed in the conversation and didn't know when I stepped in.
"Mom?"
I called out to her as she veers her eyes back, "yes dear!! Am sorry didn't hear you enter, " ( cleans the tears from her eyes)
"Why are you crying, mom". ( I asked and fell my eyes to dad's picture)
"Nothing dear, am only missing your father," she says to me
"Missing dad or because Tori's getting married" ( I added to my words).
A weak smile on,  she said, "both actually, Cannot believe that my baby girl is now engaged and getting married in a month".
"What? A month?". ( A stunning look drops on)
"Yes, didn't know about it?" ( She adds up)
It's as if Tori has begun keeping things from me, but why? Something's wrong?.
