Chapter 24

The C.A.N.D.Y fighters met at Yanking's home. While his friends were watching a show on TV, Yanking was seeing off his parents at the door who seemed to be going out for a formal occasion.
"Hope you guys won't mess up the house today?", Yanking's Mum looked at him with a serious expression.
"I believe I've spoken to him enough already", added his Dad.
"I promise you guys our home will be in the best condition as much as I can", he said with a sheepish smile.
"Not as much as you can, but as much as we want you to", his Mum snapped back. Yanking only returned a simper.
"Let's get going honey. We'll be late", said her husband. She then gestured at Yanking that she got her eyes on him. Yanking's parents left the house and he closed the door.
He trotted over to the long sofa his friends were all in, squeezing himself to have a seat. "So what's going on guys?", he asked, watching the TV.
"The guy is about to ask the girl out on a date", replied Amelia, looking so excited over it.
"I knew all these types of movies will always end up like this", he said, not feeling impressed about it.
"I'm just here still watching the movie because three of them want to keep on watching this movie", said Nick, referring to the rest.
"Can't believe Carlos is still watching this", Yanking stared at him with a grimace.
"Love movies are only meant for the girls?", asked surprised Carlos.
"Love movies, especially teenage love movies are meant to make people emotional. Guys shouldn't be falling for that", argued Yanking.
"Yanking, you're making noise", Amelia glared at him. He then signalled at her to calm down.
Not long after, the movie was over. "The episodes today were comforting", said Carlos, completely satisfied with the movie.
"Another love movie is coming up after the break", Amelia got more excited. She noticed Nick and Yanking searching for something secretly and guessed it was the remote. "Looking for this?", she raised up the remote in her hand, smirking at them. Nick and Yanking then comported themselves to calmness.
"I'd like to have a Yo-Milk drink. You guys got one?", Dahlia asked Yanking.
"Sure. Let me get one for you", he replied and headed for the refrigerator.
"What if those minute robot spiders are still there?", Carlos joked, receiving a straight stare from Dahlia in return.
"Weren't those robot spiders dealt with also?", asked Amelia, who did not get the joke from Carlos.
"Carlos was capping pal", Dahlia replied. Amelia then turned her focus back to the TV immediately.
Instantly, Yanking came with a chilled bottle of Yo-Milk and gave it to Dahlia, who received it happily and thanked him. Yanking had his seat again.
"Honestly, I'm wondering how those robot spiders were built. They were so minute", Nick expressed his amazement.
"I wonder same", added Dahlia, "And he knew the best way to kidnap the citizens, programming each minute robot spider to cling to a Yo-Milk bottle.
"The most consumed drink on the city", added Yanking.
"That man was such a genius, I gotta admit though", said Carlos.
"I'm even more surprised Yanking wasn't kidnapped, the one whose can't live a day without a drink of Yo-Milk", Dahlia stared at him surprisingly.
"They got the same initial...that explains the strong bond between them", Carlos joked. The rest giggled over it, including Amelia who was now finding the group conversation to be fun. They all stared at Yanking playfully, waiting for him to say something in defence.
"I was trying to make myself not get addicted to Yo-Milk, so I made sure not to have it for some days", he said, "But then, from that day we found Yo-Milk in the rooms of everyone that got missing, I decided to completely stay away from it just to be safe."
"But now you can have Yo-Milk as much as you want", said Amelia.
"Not as much as I want", he replied straight away, "But as much as I ought to."
Amelia turned to the TV and saw the other movie was about to start. "No interruptions guys! I'd like to concentrate in watching this movie", she said to them.
Almost immediately, their watches began to beep. Amelia groaned with unhappiness, much to the amusement of others.
"You could still watch the movie though, you mustn't go with us", Nick said to her ironically and she returned a frown at him.
Using his watch, Carlos created a dimensional portal and they all walked into it. The portal then closed up as soon as the last person went in.

They were in the C.A.N.D.Y's building's main room all in their C.A.N.D.Y outfits waiting for their boss and Smith to walk into the room.
"Do these two ever leave this place and meet the outside world?", Carlos whispered to Yanking, feeling very curious.
Then, the boss and Smith walked into the room. "Good morning Sir", the fighters all greeted in unison.
"Good morning fighters", he responded, "You got a mission to accomplish."
"To be sure you guys are kept busy, we decided you guys are going to solve a problem in the city", Smith simpered. The C.A.N.D.Y fighters sensed something was not going right and they gazed at both of them in suspicion.
"What mission are we to accomplish?", asked Amelia.
"Good question", remarked the boss who then gestured for Smith to show them something on the big screen.
A live footage came up on the screen and what the fighters saw on the screen baffled them a lot. They saw a serious traffic jam in the streets of the city.
"Why are you showing us this?", asked Amelia.
"The traffic in the streets of the city have been in a standstill for a while now", revealed the boss.
"And we think you guys should go help out the police in tackling such traffic jam", said Smith.
"It's the audacity for me", said Amelia, looking at Smith with a flat expression.
"You guys are going to help out...that's it", ordered the boss. The fighters could not believe their ears.
"The cops can't handle the congestion alone?", asked Carlos.
"We've been watching over it and there's no much progress. Go check it out", the boss spoke with a softer tone this time.
Carlos hesitated in opening up a dimensional portal and they grudgingly walked into it, Amelia being the most angered. The portal then closed up when they had all gone in.

The C.A.N.D.Y fighters stood at the top of a building watching the commotion going on in the traffic jam. There were a lot of horn beeping and some people were haranguing at each other.
"So much for being a superhero. Best thing ever", Nick behaved sarcastically. He felt really belittled to be sent to do such a thing.
"Let's just hurry up so we could get out of here", Carlos urged them. His pals were set to jump down the building already. "Let's go", he said and they all jumped down the building. They landed on the road and immediately began helping out the cops and giving some instructions to the drivers.
