Rena nodded confidently. She knows that she is not someone who is experienced but to be honest in her heart, she believes that she can. She had the directions yesterday as well as some experience with fake contractions the other day.
"Hold my hand, Ren, if you're not strong, say okay. Don't push it too hard!” Lukman's words made Rena smile. Lukman is very concerned about her. He also accompanies patiently follows all the things Rena wants.
"Thank you," Rena said softly. She is now directing her attention back to childbirth. Rena kept trying to keep her breath. She shouldn't be nervous and also push outside the time allotted or instructed by the midwife. Now the midwife is preparing all the things that Rena needs. Starting from small things to big things, everything is done suddenly. This makes preparation time long.
"Hold on, Rena! We will prepare everything first. Lukman, can you help me to prepare everything? to make it faster as well so that Rena doesn't have to wait long. Because for sure your wife is bad."
The midwife's request makes Lukman confused. She didn't know who to choose. Until Rena made the man realize and turned to face his wife.
"Right, you just help the midwife, okay? I'm already crazy. It's not time to push and I want to finish the preparations soon so that our child will be born soon." Rena explained while smiling and reassuring Lukman.
For a second, the man nodded. Lukman's temple looks profusely sweaty. He was probably scared and had mixed feelings, just like Rena. Rena feels a little sorry for Lukman, who has to immediately step in to help. But she also saluted and wanted this moment so that she could also feel what it's like to be accompanied by her husband during childbirth.
"Sorry, I know you're afraid of blood, but still try to accompany me," Rena muttered with a smile when she saw Lukman from a distance who was now busy preparing layers of cloth. Rena was happy to see the sight. She didn't expect to do this together with her husband.
Lukman meticulously prepared everything quickly with the midwife. He suddenly became an assistant midwife instantly. Even the midwife gave Lukman a laugh because he was very proficient and in an instant could become her friend in providing fast service to people who were about to give birth.
"Do you want Lukman if you become my assistant? You're good at it and learn quickly."
Lukman, who is being teased, only chuckles. "For the sake of Rena Ma'am. How could it be if I wasn't for this wife and child? I'd rather watch TV mom."
Rena laughed too. She has been observing the midwife and her husband since earlier. Very compatible and familiar makes her feel happy playing.
"Are you ready Ren? Always follow the midwife's instructions, okay?” Ren nodded. She held Lukman's hand which had been holding her all along.

"God please help Rena, make it smooth...smooth out..." Lukman always said that prayer. He always hoped to God that everything would be done without hindrance and always be smooth.
Rena managed her breath well. She tried not to panic and not make herself tense up. Everything will be smooth if we relax and enjoy ourselves. That's the key she got from her gymnastics instructor. And Rena tries to apply it.

"I'm thirsty to go back first," Lukman said quickly with a face that was already white as death. Instantly Rena and Lukman's hands were released. Rena, who knew that this would happen, now tried not to be disturbed. She had to focus on their baby. Their child must be born safely.
"Come on! you are strong and you can do it. One more time, yes!" The midwife's instructions were not pushy. She was soft in speaking, making Rena nod firmly. She was sure she could. On a count of one to three. The midwife told her to push again.
"Come on! A little bit more. Hold and push. One two three ..."
Rena screamed and after that, the sound of a baby crying now sounded loud. Instantly Rena limps not playing. Her stomach seemed to instantly lose half of its weight. Relieved and contentless now.
"You are great!" praised the midwife who smiled as she swiftly brought their baby to be taken care of all other things immediately.
Rena didn't faint. She faintly heard all the midwife's movements as well as the cries of her child. Rena was honestly very happy. But I don't know where Lukman is now.
"Lukman..." Rena said softly. She's still limp. Just Trying to glance at it feels very heavy.
"Wait a minute, beautiful child, the midwife wants to break off the placenta first. You can hold on for a while, honey...” Mother's words could be heard in Rena's mind. She smiled broadly when she understood that her daughter was a girl.
"Our daughter ..." Rena muttered softly. Still limp. She was trying to stay sober. She felt her body hurt so badly.
Trying to move to the right to get into a better position, someone suddenly helped up from behind.
"Sorry, Rena... I can't stand to see blood." The sound of crying made Rena smile instantly. If only she hadn't been lazy now she would have laughed heartily at all the things that Lukman is currently experiencing.
"Darling... our child is a girl," Rena said with a big smile. She was beyond happy to be able to have children who would be very beautiful.
Lukman nodded with a smile as well. "Yes, dear. She's so beautiful like you," Lukman answered while holding Rena's hand tightly. He still feels very guilty for leaving his wife just like that. sadness hit Rena's husband again. Lukman approached and hugged Rena, closing their distance.
