"You can go home now?" Lukman asked with a happy face, and of course, Rena replied with a smile and a happy nod.
"Yeah, so we can go home and wait until the date the doctor has set on the paper to come here again."
"One more week huh? Will our child be born in a week?” Lukman asked after seeing the date printed on the paper.
"Who knows? Whatever it is, I hope the baby and I will stay healthy. But judging from her age, it's a normal birth age for me in one week. I don't know if it could be quicker or it could be longer."
Lukman nodded and kissed Rena's forehead briefly. "Now let's go home, shall we? I know you don't like the smell of a hospital, no matter how good a hospital is. And if we are at home we can be free. Do you want to go home now? Are you safe? No complaints?"
Ren nodded. "It's safe. Let's go home! I can't wait to breathe the air of the house again."
They smiled at each other and turned towards the elevator to go straight to their room and get ready to go home.
"Hmm ... But what does it mean to be free? I am so ambiguous in interpreting it. Rena asked while walking. Her husband responded with laughter.
"Free to kiss you back, maybe?"
Immediately, Rena burst out laughing. She didn't expect the words of her husband who was getting more and more handsome.
Arriving home now Rena felt very relieved. Finally, she was able to return to the house which seemed like a very old school she lived in. Even though she was only one day away from home.
"It feels like it's been a month since you left the house. I swear, I miss our house so much.”
The pregnant woman was babbling with pleasure. She was very happy to be able to return to her home.
"Come on in! You do have to rest. Can't be tired. Remember what the doctor said."
Ren smiled. She rubbed her stomach gently. "Ready Daddy..." she said following the childish style that Lukman just heard again. Yes, yesterday they were not too focused on intimacy like this. They are being made hectic by the state of both Rena and their baby.
Rena and Lukman walk into the house. Earlier the household assistant and the driver took over their belongings which they brought to the hospital.
"Honey..." Rena muttered softly, making Lukman turn his head now.
He saw Rena with a smile that gradually became a frown on his forehead. He saw Rena's flat face
"Hey ... what's wrong with you Rena? Don't joke! Lukman said while holding his wife's shoulders with a slightly panicked face.
And not long Rena was still silent. She didn't speak again and that made Lukman very confused.
"Rena, don't be kidding! please tell me something so I can know why?” Lukman spoke firmly. He now saw Rena who closed her eyes while controlling her breath. The future father's man now doesn't know what to do. He was honestly not afraid of what he saw now. Rena looks different.
"Midwife, please call the midwife! I think I'm about to give birth for real." When those words make you feel Deja Vu. Again Lukman felt the same sensation as before when he was in the office. His heart was beating fast and his bones seemed to go limp in an instant.
"Let's go to the hospital, shall we? I'll just-"
"No. I had the experience yesterday, and it feels like I will soon meet our child. So please just call the midwife! We are born at home. I'm not strong.”
Lukman panicked. He went awry and he felt very scared. I don't know why. But as much as possible Lukman conditioned his feelings. He tried to slowly escort Rena to their room.
"Come on, let's go to your room first! I promise I'll call the midwife soon."
"No. I can't sleep. You just met the midwife okay?” Rena holds Lukman's big hand. She knew that her husband was panicking and afraid.
“I experienced this yesterday and I learned a lot yesterday. So don't panic, okay? If you panic, Lukman doesn't believe me. I'm trying my best. You must also believe in me. Okay?"
Lukman nodded. He kissed the back of Rena's hand and now left his wife's arms.
"I went out first. You are a strong baby!”
Rena smiled. Lukman, who saw how sweat was pouring down Rena's forehead, felt he could not bear it. His wife must be enduring extreme pain at this time. He had to rush straight to see the midwife.
Trying to focus on the current situation is the most difficult thing for Lukman. Their child was born on a predicted day that was unexpected and also had minimal preparation. Rena and Lukman thought that everything they had prepared would go well and according to their baby's expected birth. But it turned out to be faster than they had imagined.
Arrived at the nearest midwife's house from their house. Now Lukman immediately comes in and thankfully, the midwife who is sitting in her yard is the midwife.
"Luckily, you're at home," muttered Lukman loudly. Loading the midwife who had also seen Lukman running to her house, that is, getting up and approaching Lukman.
"Rena, want to give birth huh?" guessed the midwife.
"Come on mom help us! Rena is in pain...” said Lukman while whining, almost crying. He was very mellow because he remembered how Rena's face was in pain because their baby was about to be born.
"I'll bring the equipment in a moment."
The midwife turned around and took all the things needed. Lukman also followed him and helped bring all the things that were needed and also needed later.
“Your face.. don't stress too much! As far as I know, this is not an estimate for Rena's delivery. So it could be fake contractions or something else. Not a real opening and birth.”
Lukman took a deep breath. He hasn't discussed with anyone the incident that he and Rena just experienced. So it's natural that the midwife doesn't know Rena's condition.
"Yesterday, she had fake contractions, and just got home earlier. Rena immediately acted strangely by staying silent and adjusting her breath. Lukman wonders why she is, but Rena says she thinks she is going to give birth for real. Lukman is very scared, madam midwife. So please don't let Rena suffer, ma'am... help my wife later."
