It doesn't feel like time has passed so quickly. In the past, Rena's womb, which was still invisible, is now exactly 9 months old. The woman will change titles in a matter of days. Rena really couldn't believe it, but... Her heart was really happy when she remembered that she was going to be a mother.
"Rena, you don't feel anything?" Lukman asked once again. He has been really worried about his wife, who is now entering labor week. Lukman is worried that Rena doesn't realize the slightest feeling that indicates their baby will be born soon because they are still a young couple who don't understand anything.
"Lukman, I've told you ten times. Do you want to ask again after this?" Rena replied a bit annoyed. She was just tired of answering again the thing that came out of her husband's lips. She can feel that too, she is a mother.
"I'm just looking after you and our child, honey. I don't want anything to happen to you. It's already D-day. We have to stay alert."
Rena chuckled. Lukman's words made her very amused and she couldn't help but laugh.
"Be careful what's wrong. You can just choose words." Nothing is funny to Lukman. The man was serious with his words.
"Once again I ask you, are you okay? Campus assignments and class hours are tiring Rena. Are you sure you don't want permission anymore? Your lecturers and your friends know too. So please be honest with me!"
Looks like Rena has to make Lukman melt first. She married a man who was indeed very responsible so they were overly obsessed with their future child.
Rena gently framed her husband's face.
"Listen up! You try to listen to the child in my stomach. She's okay. I still want to be together. She doesn't want to leave Daddy yet."
Lukman smiled. Now they often use that nickname. And immediately the doubt in his heart decreased a little but still not relieved.
"I want to listen to our son," said Lukman while bowing in front of his wife's stomach. He rubbed Rena's belly gently and lovingly.
"Be healthy inside! Daddy is always waiting for you in this world. So don't stay in there too long okay!"
Rena laughed. "Ready Daddy. Daddy also has to give me a gift when I can be carried later okay." Rena's voice now mimics the speech style of a child. Lukman immediately laughed. He felt good to be able to joke like this. Seeing Rena's sincere smile and her light laughter without a burden even though she knew that since 9 months ago this spoiled girl was trying to grow up because of the presence of their baby.
In the past, Lukman even felt very guilty when he saw that sometimes Rena silently cried blaming herself for not being able to be more mature in dealing with her pregnancy.
"Thanks, darling. I'm sorry I bothered you and made it difficult for you." Whether Rena understands it or not, Lukman just wants to say that. He wants to channel all his apologies to his wife who has been fighting for their child.
"You are weird." One short sentence that Rena has often said lately. Luqman smiled. She was curious about it.
“You often say I'm weird, why? I need an answer, don't run away!" Lukman said when he saw Rena's movements as if she was going to avoid him.
Rena chuckled. "Who ran away? That's my pregnancy exercise instructor. You're the one who suggested I do gymnastics, why can't I see the coach?" Rena answered while pouting in Lukman's arms. Seeing that, his wife feels much cuter than usual.
"There is a household assistant who can help open the door, honey." Rena chuckled. Lukman can't be fooled.
"So don't make excuses! Now you answer my question.”
Rena cleared her throat. She couldn't escape anymore so, the only way was to answer her husband's question.
"Hmm, not a special reason, but there is one thing, I like to call you weird because lately, you like to say sorry. You also really like to see your guilty look, even though you didn't do anything to hurt me. That's why I call you weird."
Okay, okay. Now Lukman knows Rena's reasons and well, indeed if Lukman flashbacks again, he seems to often act like that and is interpreted strangely by his wife.
"Well, I am anyway."
“Right! You confess yourself. Please tell me why? Why and what is your reason for that?”
Lukman looks at Rena mischievously, but now he intends to be honest. He also wanted his wife to understand how he felt. Maybe being honest with each other can lighten his heart.
"I feel sorry for you because you are pregnant. And you're pregnant because of me. I become-"
“What? So you want me to get pregnant because of whom? Oh, Lord! You are weird.” Lukman smiles amused to see Rena who now even looks angry.
"Oh, that's not it, honey. Here's the theory. I often see you are rich so forced to do anything alone. You who are usually spoiled are trying to grow up and I feel guilty. I think that you did all that because you are now a mother-to-be. It all leads to me being pregnant with you."
Immediately Rena burst out laughing. Geez! She has a husband who is completely anti-mainstream.
"IT'S SO FUNNY!" Rena said while pinching Lukman's cheeks. Lukman just surrenders to being like this.
"Listen, daddy! The mother of your child is not forced at all to be better, more mature, and more mature. Face if I do that because I want to have a baby. Am I being selfish by being spoiled all the time? Yes, once in a while, if you are spoiled, you are free! But, I have an obligation to our dear baby. So stop thinking weird and ridiculous like that. You are already responsible correctly after making me pregnant. So calm down okay?” Rena couldn't hold back her laughter anymore. She laughed out loud.
This makes Lukman ashamed of himself. are his words not quite right? I don't know, but the most important thing is that he is relieved.
"That's it, dear ... you are looking for the coach later it won't be good to wait too long," Lukman said immediately giving an excuse so that his wife would immediately leave in front of him. It's not that he doesn't like Rena next to him but because he's embarrassed. Very very embarrassed even.
