Chapter 34 The Night they almost had

I gently removed the dress from my body, like it was the most expensive thing in the world. I neatly folded it while sitting on the king-sized bed and placed my dress on a silver table, along with everything else.
The way I folded it reminded me of my mother, Kimberly. She told me that if I folded my clothes neatly then they'd look prettier when I wear them. I don't know how true but I still believed it.
I was too tired to return them to their normal places. I was even to tired to call the maid. Besides, I didn't want to bother them so late at night. I wasn't heartless.
The party was a dream come true. I had never felt so happy, safe and loved altogether so much in my life. Elliot was truly the best. I couldn't imagine my life, here on, without him. He wasn't a prince but he sure acted like my Prince.
The door of the bathroom opened and Elliot appeared. He had pulled on a black showercoat and was rubbing a towel through his black longer hair. His red eyes sparkled as he did. I had never seen him so... enchanting.
I wondered why he looked so different tonight. I wanted him to get on me right there, right then.
***
"You've never looked at me that way. Alright?"
Lexa immediately carried her eyes from him, acting like nothing ever happened. "Of course I'm fine. You just... came in unannounced."
He looked confused. "You knew I was in the bathroom. Must I announce before I come out? In my bedroom?"
'Shut up you handsome son of a...' Her thoughts were cut in when I remembered he could read my mind and the look he was giving me surely said so.
Elliot slowly walked up to me. Lexa continued to move backwards until her back hit the wall.
He moved the closest to her. Noses touching, lips inches apart, breath losing.
'You think I'm handsome?' Elliot whispered in my ear.
Now I knew that was more of Lot. "Don't act like you're so innocent. You drive every woman crazy with your looks. I hear the maids' secret conversation about you and I do not like them."
He laughed. "What do you think? The male workers don't talk about you."
She looked surprised. "Really?" Lexa said with a smile.
He raised a brow and frowned slightly. "You're smiling?"
"Of course my Charming Prince. Now we're equal," she said in a funny and terrible British accent.
Elliot didn't want to drag the conversation further. Lot couldn't even wait. She returned to her previous sitting position on the bed.
He crawled to her side on the bed and knelt behind her. Lexa had suspected this. She was terrified but as he removed her hair from her neck to look at the mark which he traced seductively, all her worries came to an end.
'I've been waiting, Alexa. Tell me when you're ready. I'll be in the dressing room.' He whispered, attempting to leave but Lexa made a move and grabbed him.
"Let's say right now. What do you think?" she said, still backing him like she was afraid to say it to his face.
An evil smile crept up.
Lexa was only in a white smooth underdress. 'I can easily tear that off,' Elliot thought.
'I'm the king and you'll listen to my every command.' His voice was low and made her excited.
She licked her lips.
'Yes, master,' Lexa replied with a softer voice. She would not call him king because he was more of a Prince to her.
He grabbed her, squeezing her but not hurting her, and lied her on the bed with her head facing the bed and her beautiful fair back facing him.
He went on her and traced the mark once more, preparing to give her a painful bite. He wanted to hear her scream. Hear her moan. He wanted to go hard on her but yet take it slowly.
Lot wanted fast and quick but this was an opportunity Elliot never wanted to miss.
His fangs grew as he held her hair and pulled her neck closer to his mouth.
'Deep or surface?' he asked, licking the mark.
It tingled and made her gnaw her teeth. 'You're the master.'
He loved Lexa's reply and went for the mark. He placed his fangs on the exact spot of the marks and prepared to puncture his fangs into them.
As he did so with every passing moment, she tried to hold her screams in until she realized, she didn't need to.
He tore her dress more and it exposed her a**. He admired the beautiful shape of it. The only thing between him from it was her thin undies that he would rip off in a heartbeat.
He was completely mesmerized. He wanted to squeeze it and start with it. As he was about to reach the deepest point of his bite, preparing himself to put himself into her, the most annoying thing happened.
The door opened. Both stopped what they were doing while Lexa used the bedsheets to cover her half-nakedness. Their angers reduced when they saw an unexpected visitor.
"Kim, what's wrong? Why do you look so sad?"
Lexa wanted to get up and comfort her but she couldn't leave the bedsheets or take them with her.
She sniffed, looking at them with the saddest but prettiest set of eyes. Elliot was annoyed but he couldn't stay mad at that face, though he was still on and terribly wanted to finish what he started.
Lot was literally screaming in his head and Elliot was not liking it.
"Miss-Miss Rica read bedtime stories to me." Her eyes welled up. "But she isn't..." She sniffed again and cleaned her face. "...she isn't here. I can't sleep."
Those words hit Lexa's heart. It was like a magic spell to make Lexa do whatever Kim wanted.
"Kim, can you stay outside for a second. I'll be right there."
Lexa so wanted to go and hug her but she had to control herself. Kim slowly walked outside, cleaning her tears with her stuffed bear, which she called Griffin.
Elliot turned to Lexa sharply, when he saw that she stood from the bed. He grabbed her hand and dragged her back to the bed.
"Where do you think you're going?" His voice was full of rage.
"Let go of me Lot. Elliot, control him."
He let go of her after Lot and Elliot had an internal battle. Lexa rubbed her hands painfully. "I apologize on his behalf."
Lexa shook it off. "It's fine. I have to go to Kim."
Lexa picked a suitable dress from the nearby cupboard and quickly put on a nightgown.
He groaned and bit his lip. "Why?"
Elliot was mad but Lexa paid no attention to him. "Why on earth did you leave the door open."
Elliot looked away from her. "I thought..." He paused, realizing how stupid he was. "...no one would dare enter my room without warning."
She hit her forehead. "Silly Elli. Thank goodness she didn't notice us." She turned to him. "I have to go. I can't keep her waiting."
Lexa blew him a kiss and rushed outside to meet the waiting Kim.
***
Elliot's POV
I regretted bringing the children into my mansion. He also didn't regret it because it made Lexa have more trust in me, besides he didn't hate kids.
I found it hard to believe I let a beautiful opportunity to get into her slipped out of my hands because of a crying child. Kim won Lexa's heart. Was I nothing to her?
If it wasn't Kim, or any other child that I knew, there was a fifty percent chance that I would have killed him.
I kept hitting the wall, breaking it continuously, while Lot called me different offending names.
'...fool. Idiot. Buffoon. Stupid. Dunce. Numbskull. Nincompoop. Moron. Imbecile..."
I ignored them all cause I was barely even listening. I was thinking of a way to suppress my anger and I was still very on.
I thought of getting another girl to fulfil my needs but she would never be able to hit the spot. I would end up killing her when she couldn't satisfy me, it wouldn't be the first time.
Also, if Lexa found out I'd be in big trouble. I was not taking that risk.
I couldn't sleep, not even if I wanted to. I couldn't get drunk even with my strongest gins and alcohol. All I thought about was her. Forget about f**king her. I wanted her beside me as I slept. I just wanted her here.
Eventually Lot gave up and remained quiet. It didn't make a difference because I was never listening.
Someone knocked on the door. I rushed to it like an excited puppy to see if it was Lexa but I met with... Nora. I had forgot to use my nose instead of my ears.
"You opened the door, sir?" She wondered because I had never done such a thing to anyone in all the years she had been working for me in the mansion. "Is everything okay, sir?"
I pinched my forehead and hissed in anger. "I thought it was someone else. What do you want?"
She noticed I was in a bad mood and was rethinking of informing me but she couldn't leave me in the dark all night. "Should I come back later, sir?"
"Just tell me." I tried to keep my voice low but I was screaming inside.
"Miss Kimberly called. She requested you and Lexa see her tomorrow morning." Nora decided to leave the part about her sounding a bit worried when she called. She didn't see it important then.
"You can go."
"Here's some gin, sir. I'm sure you must need it." She softly smiled.
I ignored her smile, keeping an eye out for Lexa, and picked the drink before entering my room.
The longer I stayed in the room, the angrier I became. Nothing was working. I threw the glass cup and looked out to the window.
I had to go outside. If I did, I might kill some animal, drink their blood and feel better. Lexa didn't look like she was coming and I didn't want to disturb her or look desperate.
I took a deep breath that didn't help and jumped out of the window of the highest floor, running towards the forest. Cold winds gushed through my skin but it only made me feel just a bit better.

Lexa's POV
"...and the princess..."
"Did she grow wings and fly?!" Kim asked excitedly.
Kids were meant to sleep when read a bedtime story to but Kim was doing the exact opposite. She was jumpy. I was reading her the fourth book and she didn't look like she would sleep anytime soon.
In fact, I was getting sleepy.
I yawned before I answered her. "No, Kim. She jumped into the dry well and hid away from the evil king."
"Then did the prince come?!"
I realized it was getting nowhere. I had to put her to sleep. My mind drifted to Elliot. He would have gone mad by now. I just hoped that he hadn't killed anyone.
I closed the book. Kim looked at me confused. "Should I sing you to sleep, Kim?"
"But what about the story?" She turned sad.
I rubbed her cute cheeks. "The Prince saved the princess and banished the evil king. Do you know what the evil king wore when he shamelessly walked out of the kingdom?"
Her face turned curious. For a small child, she had strong face expressions and anyone could tell how she was feeling.
"What did he wear?"
"He wore his robe except a Dragon blew fire at his butt and..."
She laughed shortly before answering. "His underwear showed just like the two knights in Barbie Rapunzel!"
"Yes, baby."
I had maybe made up the ending but it got Kim to laugh. Besides, no one wanted to hear about how the princess stayed in the well for 100 years, waiting for her prince.
"Sing the song Auntie Lexa." I stood up and turned off the lights. "Auntie Lexa? Where are you?"
"I'm right here, Kim."
I put the lamp to dim and tucked Kim into the bed. I entered the bed with Kim so she would feel comfortable and kept her close to me. "What's the song about?"
"Shh Kim. You ask too many questions." She giggled. "The name of the song is Rockabye but my version has more lull than rock." I felt her smile. It was a precious moment.
"I already feel sleepy."
Sarcasm, I rolled my eyes." It goes like this." I cleared my throat and let my beautiful softened voice out. "She works the night, by the water. She's gonna stress, so far away from her father's daughter. She just wants a life for her baby..." I could tell Kim was already enjoying the song because she closed her eyes to savour it so I continued. "...all on her own, no one will come. She's got to save him. She tells him ooh love. No one's ever gonna hurt you, love. I'm gonna give you all of my love. Nobody matters like you. She tells him your life ain’t gonna be nothing like my life. You're gonna grow and have a good life. I'm gonna do what I've got to do."
I looked at Kim, suds pausing. She had already fallen asleep for a girl that was jumpy just a few minutes ago. She didn't even wait till I started the chorus. It was my favourite part. I continued the song, this time singing to myself. "So, rockabye baby, rockabye. I'm gonna rock you. Rockabye baby, don't you cry. Somebody's got you. Rockabye baby, rockabye. I'm gonna rock you. Rockabye baby, don't you cry. Rockabye..."
I yawned and stopped the song. I was too sleepy to continue. Forgetting about the problems that life had given me, I adjusted myself on the bed and went to sleep.
