I woke up by a disturbing noise, I turned around as I kept a small pillow on my ear to prevent me from listening to whatever that sound Is but unfortunately I could still hear it, i decided to ignore it
I kept turning around before I decided to go and see what is really going on
Immediately after I opened the door, I came face to face with a total stranger who looked like a bodyguard
He is dark in complexion, his eyebrows are barely noticeable which made me fear him, his lips are brown in color, he is very tall and he is muscular.
I stepped backwards before I spoke
“ Who are you “
“ Go back to your room young lady “ he said in a deep frightening voice
“ okay “ I nodded as I did exactly as he said
After I entered the room I began looking for my phone
“ where did I keep it “ I murmured to myself
I checked under my pillow where I usually keep it but I wasn’t there.
I opened the door and told the bodyguard to move out of the way but he refused
“ Go back inside “ he said
“ No I won’t, get out of the way “ I said as I tried to push him.
“ young lady try and understand “
“ understand what “ I yelled
“ I’m just doing my job “ he said
“ Job, what kind of job “
" I’m not suppose to let you leave your room. You’re grounded young lady " he said
“ Grounded, are you serious “
“ I need to speak with mom” I said
“ Sorry young lady but I can’t “
“ But why “ I said
“ I have told you already “
“ Let me leave “ I said screamed while trying to push him out of the way
He looked at me without saying a word but I understood what he meant.
"oh really we will see about that" I said while shutting the door.
I sat on the couch for a few minutes before standing up, I took a flower vase and kept the flowers on the table before I threw the vase on the floor which made a loud noise making the bodyguard to knock on the door
“ Are you okay “ he said after he knocked the door
I let out a scream immediately I sat on the floor
“ Are you okay “ he said again
I didn’t respond which made him enter the room
“Now it time for action” my inner voice said
“ What are you doing “ he said after he entered the room
I didn’t say a word as I kept screaming
“ Young lady this old trick won’t work on me “
He was about existing the room when i took a piece of glass from the floor while raising my wrist at him
" I’m gonna to kill myself " I said
“ Okay “
“ I’m not joking I will seriously kill myself”
“ Go ahead no one is stopping you “
“ Are you serious “ I said as I dropped the glass on the floor
He was about leaving when he got a text message.
He took some seconds before he spoke
“ You’re free to leave the room “
“ Oh lord thank you “ I said as I exited the room
As I walked downstairs I saw Dad sited on the couch
The living room is covered with a golden wallpaper that has white designs on it, the floor was tiled black, at the center is a large golden and milk rug on top of the rug is a large center table with a flower vase on it, at the sides of the room is a beige gothic couch which has mini coffee table beside them
A large flat tv was hanged across the room,above it is a modern Italian clock , a beige gothic book shelves by the edge of the room, and on the wall is a family photo frame.
" Dad how could you " I said rather it sounded like a yell
“ Oh you are awake " he said after he stood up from the couch
“ Seriously grounding me one thing hiring a bodyguard to make sure I don’t get out of my room is another but taking away phone that’s too far “ I yelled
He let out a laugh before he spoke
“ that was all your mom’s doing “
“ What “
“ besides that’s little compared to what you did yesterday “ he said
“ Oh really “
He didn’t say a word as he kept smiling
“ You know dad I don’t care what mom did or what she will do, all I want right now is my phone” I said
“ Can’t help you kid, like I said that’s all your mom’s doing “
“ what's going on " mom said from behind
“ nothing honey, Victoria was just asking about the bodyguard you hired “ he said
“ Oh that, I already told him…”
she didn’t finish talking when I interrupted her
“ I don’t care about what you told him just give me my phone “ I yell
“ Don’t yell at me “ she said
“ If you make a mistake you have to be punished Victoria “ dad said
“ And you should thank your dad he was the one that talked me into letting you leave your room “ mom said
“ I can’t do this right now “ I said before taking a deep breath
“ just tell me where you kept my phone” I said calmly
“ What are you gonna do with the phone, make plans with your friends without informing your parents “ she said
“ you went through my phone, how could you “
“ Come on Victoria this is what responsible parents do nowadays “ dad said
“ What is wrong with you guys don’t have any idea of privacy “
“ there’s no such thing as privacy when it comes to parenting “ dad said
“ You know what honey just go to your room, take a shower change into something less embarrassing and come downstairs for breakfast “ mom said
“ And forget about the plans you made with your friends cause your not going” dad said
“ No ! No ! Nooo “ I screamed
“ Victoria honey go upstairs now “ mom said trying to calm me down
“ No ! I told you about the plans weeks ago and you agreed, it’s not fair for you to change your decision now “ I yelled
“ Victoria you’re yelling again “ mom said
“ I don’t care, what you guys are doing isn’t fair “
“ And what you did last night was it fair Victoria “ dad asked
I was about to talk when mom spoke
“ Go to your room now “ she said as she pointed the stairs
“ I hate you “ I said before leaving

I ran to my room crying I seriously didn't expect this from mom, I mean how could she do this to me. I cried till my eyes were sore, I didn't realize when I drifted off to sleep.
" Victoria wake up " a voice whispered
I instantly recognized the voice despite my eyes were closed
“ Wake up " Rose said while taping my back.
“ can you please leave me alone " I said as I turned around.
“ No you have to wake up “
“ please go away I don’t want to talk to anyone “ I said
" You haven't eaten anything since morning “ she said
“ I’m not hungry “
“You have to eat and I know where your phone is “ she said
I used the back of my hand to rub my eyes before I spoke
“ You do “
“ Yes it’s in your mom’s cupboard, I saw her keeping it when I was cleaning her room“ she explained
“ really, thank you so much “ I said as I hugged her
“ I will go get the phone right now” I said
“ You can’t “
“ why not “ I instantly asked
“ she’s in the room so you have time to take a shower and eat before getting your phone “
“ okay “ I said as i got up and entered the bathroom

After taking a shower I was about to wear my clothes when I remember what mom said earlier “ change into something less embarrassing “
I can’t believe she said that to me, mom has changed it’s like I don’t know her anymore.
I wore a milk sleeve less gown that stopped at my knee, I styled my hair into a ponytail, I wore a diamond earring and applied some lipgloss before wearing a black flat shoe.
I had no choice but to dress classy as I didn’t want anymore trouble from mom.
I looked at myself in the mirror for almost a minute “ this isn’t the life I wanted “ I said to myself
“ I am ready to get my phone “ I said to Rose who just entered my room
“ it’s in the closet inside the second cupboard “
“ thank you “
“ I will make a signal when I see someone coming “ she said
I walked slowly rather carefully as I didn’t want to make any noise, immediately I entered her room I closed the door
Mom’s room is twice the size of mine. It is covered it an ash shining wallpaper, It has a long black and white curtains that covered the window making the room look dark even in daylight. A modern white double bed with a mint checkered duvet was placed at the center of the room, a simple classic black night stand by the side of the bed, a painting of trees and birds was hanged above the bed.
Across the room is a wide white cabinet with at least six drawers, above that is a large flat screen TV. By the right side of the wall are photo frame of hers and dad,
at the center of the room is a white carpet darkened with a bit of black. By the left end of the room is a door to the closet which I quickly entered
The closet is covered with the same wallpaper as the room, there is a large raven shelve that could contain at least a hundred shoes and bags, an incredibley wide shelve. At the side is a black changing niche and by the left is a raven dresser that contained her jewelries and other accessories. A long stylish mirror hanged across the room and a luxurious gothic three seater and an ash cupboard that has multiple wardrobe on it was kept by the left side of the room.
I gently opened the second wardrobe and luckily for me it wasn’t locked.
I quickly grabbed my phone and ran back to my room without been caught.
“ Thank God no one saw me “ I said as I closed my door.
“ Rose you are the best “ I said immediately I hugged her
“ There is the smile I was looking for “ she said after I released her from the hug
“ I have to get you something to eat “ she said before leaving the room
I comfortably sat on my bed as I texted my friends.

Victoria: change of plans guys we shouldn’t go to Santorini
Lyon: I called you multiple times but you didn’t pick
Liv: we were worried
Nora: What happened
Victoria: slow down guys.
I told them everything that happened yesterday and today before they decided to change the vacation date to tomorrow
Mick: but I don’t think there is a flight to Santorini tomorrow
Liv: bummer
Lyon: I know i said we should go to Santorini but I saw an incredible rental house in wind-land and I heard a lot .
Liv: what do you mean babe
Lyon: let’s go to wind-land
Liv: are you sure babe
Victoria: i think it’s a great idea especially the fact that my parents don’t know about it.
Liv : hey we can use my dad’s private jet since wind-land is a nearby state
Lyon: that’s a great idea
Mick: so it’s a plan
Nora: I better start packing
