CHAPTER 19

YVO'S POV

I was just waiting for Tux, Hots, and Iwo because we're going somewhere. I thought they might give me food because they often serve me various foods, most especially those I have never tasted. I actually felt shy to receive something from them. It also felt like they wanted me to swell. Well, I was just thinking pure nonsense.

Since it's Sunday afternoon, I was not busy. I was no longer working because I was once again taking care of my beloved child who was none other than Magdalen. Madam Bria said that Meyra needed to go somewhere and it would take a long time before she could return. I asked madam to take care of Magdalen and she agreed when I told her that her three children would take me on their walk. I also said goodbye to my daughter properly.

Maybe we’re going somewhere because those men missed me.

"Miss Yvo, they're here."

"I'll go outside soon. Thank you, manang."

"Welcome, hija."

I was hanging out in the kitchen while waiting for the three of them so I couldn't stop myself from eating ice cream. I needed to take the strawberry ice cream that was in the cup before I left.

I hurried out after I consumed the ice cream but I didn’t see them.

"Where are them?" I asked. "It’s my fault because I made them wait."

I looked outside the gate of the mansion until my attention was focused on a small store where three men were sitting. I no longer hesitated to walk to that place. As I approached them, my suspicion grew that they were them. They were wearing shorts, t-shirts and slippers. Far away from what they wear which are shoes, pants, and polo shirts when they come out from their place.

"Hey, what's your trip?" I asked.

"It's a frog without brace!" Tux said in shock before facing me. Meanwhile, the two were also surprised but did not speak immediately.

"Frog without brace? Does a frog have brace, huh? Do you want me to hit you?" I kept questioning him.

"Chill, lady. Eat some kikiam first oh," Tux said before smiling like a child.

"Yeah, you must eat with us."

I just sighed at what I heard. "What eat with us are you saying, Hots? I thought we were going somewhere?"

I slowly sat down next to Iwo and stared at the table in front of me where some of the famous street foods in the Philippines known as kwek-kwek, fish ball, kikiam, and siomai were there.

"Maybe we're really going here for a snack? Why didn’t I realize that?" I thought.

"These are really delicious! Constance is the only one we can't feed with this kind of food." I knew Iwo enjoyed the food but his voice couldn’t hide the sadness because they were not in good terms with Constance.

I just pretended not to pay attention to what he said. "Hots, what's up? You didn't answer my question."

"Just eat first. You're losing weight, oh."

"Losing weight? When did I gain weight? But I'm going to eat. I love these!"

I was about to pick a siomai with a toothpick when Tux said, "Ah-ah-ah. Order yours. These are not enough for us HAHAHA!"

"You’re selfish!" I said jokingly before I stood up and approached the seller who was frying siomai. "Please give me five pieces of siomai and a bottle of water as well."

"All right, ma’am. I'll deliver it in your table later."

"All right, thanks. This is my payment." I handed him the fifty pesos and he immediately accepted it as well.

I also immediately returned to seat near the three of them. They envied me while I still had no food. They were really nonsense and they almost shouted how delicious the food they were eating was. They showed me every bite they took. I just didn't pay attention because I already knew the mindset of the three of them. They really wanted to make fun of me.

"Finally," I said with a smile as the seller approached our seat while carrying my siomai and water. "I can eat siomai now. And you three, I won't give it to you."

"Give us some!" they said. I immediately held the siomai that was for me when the seller put them on our table.

But they were faster and clever that they got my three siomai! It should be five!

My eyes narrowed in annoyance and I squeezed their ears one by one. "You didn't give me and then you'll get my food. I'll beat you all!"

But they didn't seem to hear anything and they didn't seem to be hurt by what I did.

Tux smiling pointed to my siomai. "There are two more, oh!"

I was alarmed by what he said so I immediately ate the two siomai. "N-no w-way!"

"Don't speak when your mouth is full HAHAHA!"

After I drank the water, I looked at the three of them. They became serious and sat down properly. "You did make fun of me, didn't you?"

"No, we just missed you. It's sad to work when you're not there," Hots seriously said.

"I agree," Tux agreed.

"Me too," Iwo also said.

"Oh, the drama. You often visit the mansion so you don't miss me all the time."

“The three handsome are busy with work,” Tux said before doing a peace.

"We often go to mommy's office because our boss is always absent. We have documents and clients to take care of so we rarely work as janitors," Iwo said.

"You know; I don't see your brother coming home anymore. Does he have a problem? I hardly see him come home since Meyra left. Maybe he has taking care of something."

"Maybe hanging out. Enjoying life."

"Maybe, Iwo."

"I think it's time to go," Iwo said.

"Yeah, you three better leave. What a waste of my outfit," I said frowning. "I really dressed up."

"Wow. You dressed up?" Tux sarcastically asked. Very supportive indeed.

"You don't even appreciate my orange lipstick today. It's really saddening." I was wearing a white t-shirt with a sunflower drawing that wasn’t too big in the center. It’s a cute sunflower. I also wore black pants and black shoes, while my hair was pony tail.

"Oh, yes. Guys, she’s pretty!" exclaimed Tux.

"Beautiful!" Hots said.

"Nice," Iwo said.

I got up and prepared to leave. "Fake appreciations! I'm going back to the mansion."

"Wait a minute. We're going somewhere."

"Oh, Hots, with your facial expression, where else are we going?"

"Just come along," Iwo said with a smile.

"Just make sure I will be able to go home later, ah."

"Yeah!" Tux said.

They first dressed up at the house they were staying at in the other subdivision before we headed to the mall. Yes, we went to the mall because they bought me things. They bought me clothes that they said were not for old folks. Those men really thought my outfits were lame. I was even more embarrassed when they bought me expensive bags and wallets that were hundreds of thousands each. I could afford to build a house with that amount. If an emergency occurs, I will just sell them. I really liked expensive bags but that was before Magdalen came into my life, when I wanted to be in fashion. But when Magdalen came, I understood better that you could live simply and happily.

It's just heartwarming that they treated me like their sister. I looked like their princess even though they often teased me. Maybe it's because they didn't have a sister that's why they're so kind to me. I couldn’t refuse their gifts because they’re so persistent.

"Hopefully, next time I will receive a house and lot," I joked to them after they paid for everything we bought. We must be practical. If they agreed to give me cash instead of bags and so on, I would really buy a land. But they didn’t agree and told me to use what they give to me."

"When we get rich," Iwo told me with a smile.

"You're already rich so what you’re saying that when you get rich? But that's just a joke of course. You've given too much. You don't have to buy me things like these. It's enough for me that you're my friends, that I can be with you all and that I feel that you love me. "

"We have your back and always remember that," Tux said. My heart almost melted when I heard that, I would never forget it.

I was lucky to have them.

They took me home before they went home. They had their own house and those were really good houses. Although not big, each was full of expensive things. While they used the house in the other subdivision whenever they were working for Constance's company.
After some time...

"Inday, call Yvo inside. Tell her someone is looking for her outside," Madam Bria ordered Inday Kikay. They were arranging something in the garden in front of the mansion. Maybe they thought I was upstairs.

"Maybe my three friends are looking for me!" I thought.

Since I heard what madam said, I immediately went out as well. But I was shocked when I didn't find them outside. Though he was not looking at me, I knew who he was.

"Why did you leave Palawan? Why?" I thought.
