CHAPTER 21

I burst out walking away after Constance's stole a kiss on my cheek. I told him to never follow me because I might be able to beat him big time. I was also very disappointed that no one paid attention my scream. They were comfortable that no thief could enter the mansion.

"Manang Lori, please take care of Magdalen for now. I'm just going somewhere for a while. Thank you!"

"All right, dear."
I kindly smiled at Manang Lori before I finally left the mansion. I went to Aling Francine because I didn't want to disturb my three busy friends. I was sure they’re busy with their own errands. I also didn’t want to be a burden to them.

"How long do you intend to stay here?" she asked with a smile before laying the leche flan she made on the table. Eventually, she sat down next to me. "Have a snack first."

"I’ll stay here for a few hours, Aling Francine. I can't be away from Magdalen for too long when I'm not doing anything important like this. I just don't want to see anyone so I'm here."

"Who?"

"Magdalen's dad kissed me on my cheek," I admitted.

"Maybe that man likes you?" Aling Francine seriously said.

I shook my head. "That’s impossible, Aling Francine. That man is getting married."

"Your situation is difficult. Isn’t he a pervert?"

I was shocked about what I heard, so I couldn’t speak right away. I was confused and doubtful. In the end, I chose to trust him.

I smiled before speaking. "I guess he’s not."

"I hope you're right."

"I hope so."

Just a few minutes ago, my cellphone suddenly rang. Fortunately, I brought my very important cellphone. When I saw Hots calling, I first told Aling Francine that I would go out of her house to answer the call.

"Hello, Hots? Why did you call me?"

"You're missing," he said from the other line.

"Missing? I'm not missing. I just went somewhere. Who said that I'm missing?"

"My brother."

"My brother?"

"Constance. He's looking for you."

"A-are you with him now?" I asked.

"Yeah, the four of us are together now. But don't worry because he's inside the house. He couldn't hear our conversation. We're more loyal to you."

"Nice one! Thanks for being loyal."
"No problem."

"Cool," I said. Yes, I was able to breathe. "It seemed to be a miracle that Constance visited your place, right?"

"Yeah. We're all shocked when he knocked on our door. We thought he’s going to give us an order. He first asked if you were with us. We were even more shocked when he apologized to us and negotiated. Well, we couldn't ignore him because he's our brother. We're in good terms now, Yvo. "

I could feel nothing but joy for them. Hots, Tux, and Iwo deserved what happened. I was glad that my friends were happy. They waited for a long time for that opportunity to come, so I knew that they were very glad.

"I'm happy for you," I sincerely said with a smile. Hopefully it would continue.

"We know you're one of the reasons why we got along. Thank you."

"Gosh, don't thank me because I didn't do anything to get the four of you together. But don't worry about me because I'll be home soon. Make the most of the time with him. Have a bonding with him."

"You’re so humble. I'll go inside. Take care."

"Take care too. B-bye."

"Bye," he said before the call ended.

I immediately went back inside Aling Francine's house to say goodbye. I would be out of the mansion for about two hours but Constance immediately thought I was missing. Oh-oh.

"Aling Francine, I'm sorry to say but I have to go. They're looking for me at the mansion."

She stared at the untouched leche flan. "You haven't tasted this leche flan I made yet. Are you really going home right away?"

"Yes, I'm going home. I'll just visit again with Magdalen," I replied with a smile.

"If you're really going home, I'll just put this leche flan in a tupperware so you can take it with you and Magdalen can taste it too. Just say hello to her for me."

I hugged her tightly. I was so glad. "All right. Thank you very much, Aling Francine. Thank you because until now you are still here for Magdalen and me."

She also hugged me back before she spoke. "Welcome. I'm always here for you two and you know that. I treat you like my child. Magdalen is like my granddaughter too. I just want to see you both in good shape and that’s my simple happiness."

"Thank you again."

When I got home, I was lucky that Constance wasn’t home yet. I went to our room and found Magdalen sound asleep. I didn’t close the door but I lay down next to her before remembering Constance’s look after he kissed me on the cheek.

The new Constance I saw no longer the Constance with the belly fat. It seemed he melted it in the gym during the days he wasn’t home and absent in the company. He looked pleasant and more confident. He had a good physique. Sometimes, it just needs self-love and self-care for a person to improve mentally, physically, emotionally, etc. But it is very important that you accept yourself. You also don’t have to change yourself for others. It depends on your personal decision.

I'd really bullied him in the past. I had better apologize to him because he might do something else or might change in his body.

I had a problem to fix.

"Yvo?"

I looked at the source of the voice. I slowly got up and I had just spoken when I got up. "Why, madam?"

"Can we talk downstairs?" she calmly asked.

"All right, madam. I'll follow soon," I immediately answered.

"No, come with me now. I have something important to tell you."

"Is there anything else I can do, madam?"

"All right, madam."

I immediately followed Madam Bria until we reached her mini office. That’s actually my first time to enter her office in the mansion. There is a couch that fits three people near the door and in front of the office table. I sat on the couch while she sat in her swivel chair in front of her office desk.

"This mini office is soundproof," she began.

"What do you want to tell me, madam?" I was a little nervous.

"Constance needs to marry someone," she seriously said while looking at me directly.

I also looked at her directly. "Marry someone? Constance and Meyra are really going to marry, aren't they? Meyra is her fiancée. I'm confused. Why are you telling me about that? I'm not part of their wedding. I'm not. I won’t oppose their marriage."

"Oh, how should I explain it to you? Oh... They're already separated–"

I was so shocked at what I heard, so I couldn't stop myself from speaking again. "What? They separated? When, madam?"

"Let me finish the story first."

"Oh, sorry. Peace, hehe." I actually do a ‘peace sign’ so that madam wouldn't be annoyed with me.

"So, you don't know yet that they broke up. Yes, they broke up. I know Constance doesn't love Meyra, so I don't wonder why they broke up. Now, Constance has to get married for him to have a whole family. He must have a wife. That's his daddy's request and he has to do it. Constance has never said ‘no’ to his daddy." She paused for a moment and sighed. "Now, are you willing to marry my son, so he won't marry someone else? That way you can make sure Vyvyan won't have an evil stepmother."

I slightly scratched my head because of what madam said. I couldn’t think straight because of what she said. Yes, I wanted to make sure Magdalen would have a good life. But marrying her daddy to ensure that? I was not sure of that.

"W-what if I don't want to marry him?" I asked. I thickened my face to ask questions, so that I would know what else could happen.

"She will marry someone else."

She grabbed a white folder and handed it to me. "Take this, look. In this folder are the three women he can marry. Arranged according to wealth, from wealthiest."

I immediately opened it the moment I received it. I first saw some photos of a beautiful woman on the first page. Her name is Krida Lucion, she is sexy in her one-piece black swimsuit in Boracay, Philippines. On the second page, it’s written how rich she is, what her assets are and her personal data. It meant that she’s the wealthiest of the three women because it’s said that they’re arranged according to wealth.

Constance would be richer if he would marry Krida.

I went on to the third page and read the name of the woman who’s more beautiful than Krida. Goddessa Petery is her name, she’s beautiful and rich. Complete package, right? Krida or Goddessa will fit for Constance, they are like celebrities. I skipped the next page and I almost dropped the folder when I saw my pictures that I didn’t know where they got.

"W-why I am included here?" I was really shocked because of what I saw. "I'm not rich."

"You are wealthy," she smiled as she told me.

"But how? I don't have a rich relative. I'm not a daughter of a rich businessman."

"You are wealthy; you just need to appreciate how blessed you are."

I smiled when I realized the wealth madam was referring to. It’s Constance's daughter... Magdalen is my treasure. I am also rich because of my friends and because of the people who love me.

"That's right, I'm rich."

"Then, we're good. You just need to decide whether to marry him or not. Think carefully. This is a once for a lifetime offer."
