Chapter Forty Nine
"I believe you have someone I'm supposed to be a guardian to, so release him before things get ugly!" She smiled, exposing her cute dimples.
"Sapphire, what are you doing here?" Kash asked.
He didn't expect her presence at all.
"Shut up, little brother. We'll talk when I'm done with this guy." She pointed at Drake, who chuckled.
"Why can't you children of Tairus mind your businesses?" He snapped, walking over to where she stood.
She yawned. "Is that a rat talking or am I suddenly hearing things?" Sapphire rolled her eyes.
"You're a menace!" He snapped at her.
"And you're boring!" She snapped back. Before Drake would utter a word, she teleported before him and grabbed him by the throat, lifting him up. Drake tried to break free but he couldn't.
"Let go of me, you whimp!" He yelled but she only held him tighter.
"Get out of his body now." She ordered, her eyes flashing from white to brown.
Drake lost control of himself for a little while. It was like he was in a never ending trance and was not able to think on his own. Slowly, he could hear nothing anymore. The only thing he could hear was the order she gave him. He didn't know how but he saw himself, coming out of Diego's body.
When Drake finally came out of Diego's body, Diego fell the floor and passed out. Kash went to him, placing his hand on Diego's chest. A blue light surrounded the place as Kash's powers returned to him. His hair turned blue and his eyes returned to it's glowing and dazzling colour again.
Cassie ran and hugged him. "You got your powers back!" She exclaimed, hugging him tighter.
Sapphire snapped her fingers and Drake returned to his normal self. "I would have banished you from existence but only Kash can do that and he isn't ready now, so I'd get out of here if I were you." She said.
Drake was too weak to say anything. He disappeared immediately.
Sapphire where Diego was and bent to his level. "How can such a cute guy be so weak?" She asked no one in particular.
"Sapphire?" Kash called and she stood up.
"Where is your apartment?" She asked.
"Where else if not the human world." Kash rolled his eyes at her.
"Are you guys alright?" Aunt Maggie asked.
"We are but the library isn't." Cassie answered, looking at the mess they made.
"All that matters is that you all are fine. The library can always fix itself." Zaire smiled.
Sapphire ran to meet Cassie. "Princess Cassandra! Oh my gosh, I finally got to see you. It's an honour, your majesty." She curtsied with a huge smile on her face.
"Nice to meet you, Princess Sapphire. Kash has told me a lot about you." Cassie curtsied too.
"Really?" Sapphire smiled at Kash but he only rolled his eyes at her. "Wow! Your hair! Is it always this red?" She asked, touching Cassie's hair.
"No." Cassie chuckled and her hair returned to the normal colour.
"Wow!" Sapphire exclaimed.
"Diego is still lying on the floor, guardian." Kash folded his arms.
"Hey, mister! I saved your ass, so you should be thankful at least." Sapphire said, pointing her index finger at him.
"I would have saved myself and everyone else here without you." Kash scoffed.
"Yeah, that was exactly what I saw you doing when I got here." She said sarcastically and Cassie chuckled.
Kash was right when he told her they didn't get along well.
"You owe her your life, Kash. Just appreciate her, you proud monkey!" Zaire snapped at him.
"She isn't getting any apology out of me." Kash smirked.
"I'll hypnotize you into saying it then." Sapphire smirked too.
"You know your hypnotizing powers don't work on me, save your strength, Missy." He stuck his tongue out at her and she stomped her feet.
"Is this what you put up with, everyday?" Sapphire asked Cassie.
"He doesn't act like this with me." Cassie answered with a shrug.
"I see," Sapphire smirked. "Hey, Ms. Maggs. I've heard a lot about you too. You were the one taking care of Princess Cassandra." Sapphire kissed Aunt Maggie's cheeks.
"Yes and I still am." Aunt Maggie smiled.
"Awwn." Sapphire exclaimed. She turned to Kash. "Kash, take us to your apartment. We need to lay my Diego on something comfy which is fancy for bed." She folded her arms.
"Your Diego?" Kash blinked and Cassie laughed.
"I'm his guardian, duh!" She rolled her eyes at him.
Kash shook his head. "We'll be leaving now, Aunt Maggie. See you at home." Kash smiled and disappeared with the rest.
Aunt Maggie sighed, placing her hands on her waist. "What a mess today!" She exclaimed.
"I know right. But at least, we saw Cassie improve so much. She was able to fight without losing control of her powers." Zaire said.
"I guess you're right. I need to visit the realm of pure magic to inform the king and queen of the mole in the kingdom. Can you handle this alone?" She asked, seeing that the library was all messed up.
"Don't worry about me." He smiled.
Aunt Maggie smiled and disappeared. Zaire placed his hands on his waist as he looked around. He closed his eyes and chanted some words then snapped his fingers. The library returned to normal in 1 second and he smiled.

Drake breath heavily as he walked through a bush path. He was physically and magically drained. He called Mia and Ian but it seemed like they didn't hear him. He coughed out blood and fell on the floor.
Queen Lucinda appeared and was surprised to see the mighty Drake she was about to pick up a fight with on the floor. She has been looking for him everywhere so as to teach him a lesson according to her but he was no where to be found. She even went as far as going to the Underworld but had to return to earth since she couldn't find now.
"Why are you like this?" She asked. Not that she cared or anything but was happy and sad. Happy in the sense that he was in pain but sad that she wasn't the one who caused him that pain.
"I'll kill them all! Just wait till I get better!" Drake snapped. His whole body ached and he was surprised that the wounds he developed weren't healing fast.
"Who are you talking about?" She asked.
"None of your business!" He snapped. When he saw that he had gotten a little energy, he disappeared.
Queen Lucinda smirked. "Whoever did that to you deserves an award. We wouldn't be hearing from you for a while, so I'm in the lead of bringing Cassie over to my side." She cackled and disappeared.

They appeared in Kash's room and Kash made Diego to lie on the bed. He used the duvet to cover him and felt his pulse.
"He should be up by tomorrow." Kash smiled.
"No one asked you." Sapphire narrowed her eyes at him.
"I wasn't talking to you." Kash rolled his eyes.
"When will you two stop your bickering?" Cassie asked.
"Never!" Both of them exclaimed and she laughed.
Sapphire dropped her sword at the side of the room and looked through the window. "Wow! Earth looks beautiful. So, this is what the human world look like." She smiled.
"Yeah." Cassie answered.
"Can I go out?" She asked.
"Dressed like that?" Kash pointed at what she was wearing.
"Is anything wrong with my outfit?" She asked.
"Sorry, Princess but people in the human world dress differently." Kash answered.
"I'm not a dummy. I know. Cassie, why don't you take me to your place and borrow me a new of your clothes. We will go shopping tomorrow." Sapphire smiled.
"No problem." Cassie chuckled.
"Before you go, how did yo know that Diego was the one given to you to guide? Kash asked.
"Long story actually. You see, father went out of town and Roland was asked to be in charge. He refused to allow me do whatever I wanted like father did. He was always on my throat so, I excused myself to the palace garden and that was where I saw Diego and decided to come here!" She smiled, happy that she was finally out of the palace.
"That's cool!" Kash smiled.
"Yeah. Diego would be psyched to have you as his guardian." Cassie said.
"He has no choice." Sapphire chuckled.
"Come on, I'll take you to my place." Cassie said.
"Okay." Sapphire smiled.
"I'll come see you guys later." Kash said.
"Sure!" Cassie smiled and they disappeared.

THAT NIGHT
Asher stood outside of his room, looking around the streets. He watched how the night bubbled with activities and the rest. He took out his phone to call Cassie but she wasn't picking up. He sighed, dropping in his pants pocket.
He was really worried. Since, Lily told him that Cassie passed out, he hasn't been able to think straight as a result of worry.
"I should go see her," he muttered and went to his wardrobe to pick out an outfit. "Wait, what if she doesn't welcome me?" He sighed. "I'll go. Let me see if she's okay." He said and put on white T-shirt on the black pants he was putting on. He took out a black leather jacket and disappeared, appearing in Cassie's compound. He made a flower appear in his hands and exhaled before reaching out to the door bell.
.....
Aunt Maggie hadn't returned yet and Diego was still asleep. Kash, Sapphire d Cassie were in the parlour watching a movie when the doorbell rang.
Sapphire sprung up. "I'll go open it! I have always wanted to do that!" She smiled.
"Okay but be careful." Kash said.
She smiled and went to the door. When she opened it, her smile turned to a flirty one as she stared at the cutie before her. Asher on the other hand was surprised to see someone else.
"Hi." He waved.
"Hey cutie! What are you doing here? Are the flowers for me?" She asked, smiling at him.
"Um..."
Asher couldn't form words and she dragged the flowers from him.
"Roses! So romantic!" She sniffed them, beaming with smiled while Asher stared at her helplessly.
