She had always underestimated the color of his eyes. Today as she saw them, they looked like diamonds, half cast in blue fairy dust. So silver, its almost white, so beautiful its almost unreal. His hair, a very light blonde, looked like they'd had a meeting with his skin om what their theme would be. She'd seen him In all sorts of white clothes, but what he wore today was royal, fit for an alpha, equal to a king.
The corners of his eyes shrinked as he smiled when he saw her, and everything and everybody else didn’t matter. She watched his lips as he mouthed
"you look perfect"
and she couldn't love him more. He waited patiently for her and once she got to him, he extended his hand. She placed her hand in his and he squeezed it, ever so gently. She turned and smiled and for a second, both forgot what they were supposed to be doing there. The old man, standing in front of them, cleared his throat and they both turned to him.
"Miss Isabella, please read the vows of the Luna."
He said calmly and she nodded. She turned to him, the man who would soon be her husband, and in his eyes found all the courage to convince everyone that she was indeed the one for him and for them. Once she finished, the man nodded in approval.
"Alpha Evander, please give her your wedding ring, a symbol of her eternal bond to you and this pack."
Evander took out a ring that glowed red, and when he turned it, she could see their initials to the side, engraved in a curved heart. He slid it into her finger. She almost teared up just looking at it.
"Your vows? Alpha?"
Evander nodded and cleared his throat. He started, holding both her hands, his thumb drawing circles in the back of her hands.
"There is a saying, "the most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart." I could go on and on about how beautiful you are right now, and even the day I saw you for the first time, but it would never compare to what you made me feel. You were the first person to make me feel things without trying, the first person to ever have me blushing like a mad man and running helter skelter in my own home. You got me opening up to you like I’ve never to anyone else before. You got me savoring your presence and thanking the moon goddess for simply having you exist with me. If today, I know what it means to love, its all because of you. And Isabella, I promise you, no matter how rocky those paths get, no matter how hard it feels to climb, I’ll stick with you. I'll love you in every way possible, all the ways I know of, for all the things you don’t even notice about yourself, for longer than you think you deserve and with more than you'll ever know existed inside of me. I've been obsessed with you from the beginning. And I'll stay obsessed with you till the very end."
He concluded, and by now, half of the females in the hall were tearing up, the rest were fangirling. He gave a low laugh and lowered his head, knowing he'd meant every single word he said.
"When you first told me you wanted me to write my own vow cause it felt special, honestly, I didn't know what I was going to say, but later, I realized, Idon’t really have to stress my brain for something I feel and once I allowed myself to envisage you, Icouldn’t stop. And today I hope if am able to stop. Its been almost a year. I still remember that first day clearly. Me coming out to seek something interesting and then just like that, I found you. The one person who adds a sparkle to my daily sun. The one person who adds a shimmer to my every night sky. And when I am hundred and toothless and unable to shift to a strong agile wolf, i want to hold your hand in the front porch and reminisce about how far we've come. At some point this seemed like a far fetched dream, but its happening now and Icouldn’t be happier. I have seen you hurt and broken and sometimes it was because of me, but from now I want to be your one in all person. The person you go to when you're sad, when you're happy, uncertain, broken, hurt, tired. I'll be the person who will love you through all of that. I'll love you in all of the ways that they don’t and help you pick up all the pieces they broke and I’ll stay by your side, holding your hand, in comfort and bliss, in problems and troubles. Till forever comes."
She finished.
"Till forever comes."
He echoed and she beamed.
"Okay, I’m jealous now. Those vows.....they hit me here."
Alec said, tapping his chest where his heart should be.
"Don’t you have a mate?"
Jake said and rolled his eyes.
"Well, at leastI have a mate"
Alec fired back and stuck his tongue out. Jake rolled his eyes. What a baby.
He was skimming through the hall, watching the reactions from the pack members when he caught a pair of warm brown eyes, staring back at him. Suddenly, the scent in the hall improved and he couldn’t tear his gaze off her, and neither could she. Damn. He understood Alec now.
The couple walked out, hand in hand, leaving the cheers of the pack members behind, as they acknowledged their Luna and their newly wed alpha. They got to the prepared car and he helped her in, holding her dress for her, and never once letting go. He hopped in after her. As the car started, they waved back to the cheering crowd. Once they were out of sight, he turned to her.
"Can you wait?"
she laughed and he simply smiled, taking her lips for one kiss. He then hugged her, close.
"Let's go home."
He said. And she nodded. Home. Till forever comes.
