CHAPTER 16

Leus
"How can they do this to her?" I said with disappointment.
I can't help but be in a rage towards her parents. What I am hearing is making me feel mad.
How could they do that to her? She is kind. To the point she couldn't even hurt an ant. I don't understand why would they do that?
She was suffering, but we couldn't do anything for her.
Ricx tapped my arms and said, "Tell Sister Ailee about the girl you mentioned a while ago, Leus." He said that made Sister Ailee look at me questionably.
I forgot about that too. "Actually, Sister, what happened to Aera was Sandra's fault." I shared.
Her brows furrowed. "Sandra?" Sister Ailee asked.
My eyebrows rose, "Aera said nothing about her?" I asked back. She didn't want her to know. That is why she kept it to Sister. "Sandra Santiago. She's studying here as well, and she's from our department. She's the one who started this. She even threatened her so that everyone would not know that she was from Saint Angel or adopted." I shared.
She purposely keep it from Sister, but that mean brat had the guts to hurt her?
Sister Ailee held Aera's hands. "She didn't tell me about it. I need to talk to Sandra. Do you know where I can see her?" She said this as she stood up.
"She is from your department, right? Drake and I can help Sister Ailee and find Sandra." Allen volunteered.
I nodded and motioned Sister Ailee to Allen and Drake. "Sister, you can follow them. They know where our building is." I told her.
Sister nodded and did not forget to tell her gratitude before going out of the room.
"Aera didn't tell you anything about this?" Keon asked me.
I sat on the chair near Aera.
Shaking my head, "She didn't say anything, but I can feel that her case is too sensitive. That is why I am cautious about her. I also observed that she's not really comfortable with any gender unless she knows you." I answered, sharing the things I know.
"If she were still with her parents, I could ask my Dad about her case. So that her parents will be spending their lives in prison." Cavin commented.
Ricx was about to say something when we heard a rustle from Aera's bed.
"Aera, are you okay?" I asked.
She immediately shielded herself in fear and began to breathe like a while ago, as if something was in her throat that she could not breathe normally.
"Hey, Aera? I'm Leus. I won't harm you." I said, trying to calm her.
She hid her arms under the blanket.
Is it about her wrist?
I pulled down the blanket and held her hand.
"I don't find this ugly, okay? It's okay, Aera," I said, and miraculously, she slowly calmed down. "I still wanted to be your friend. I don't mind it. I still like you. We are okay with it. You do not have to worry about it." I added.
She started to breathe normally. She looked at me intently.
I could not say anything or move a little. She slowly moved her hand and pointed her index finger at my cheek.
What should I say? What should I do? Why are Cavin and Keon not helping me here?
"A-are y-you o-okay?" I asked, stuttering.
She gave me a big smile after staring and pointing her finger at me.
How could I not stutter with that? No one can ask if they experienced what she did to me. No one. I swear.
"Move, Jerk. You have to move." Cavin whispered to me.
"Oh... right." I said and went back to my chair.
I heard them coughing and that made me look at them. They are both gesturing and pouting while tilting their heads.
"What?" I asked because I did not get what they were talking about.
Why can't they just say it right away and why do they have to use their facial expressions and gestures? It's too hard to understand.
"Your hands, Jerk." Keon said, so I looked at my hands that were still holding Aera's hands.
I quickly removed my hands. "S-sorry." I said, trying to hide my embarrassment.
After a few minutes, Sister Ailee and the others came back. Sister helps Aera to fix herself so that they can go home. We are not able to talk more with Aera since she is always saying "thank you."
"Thank you very much for your help." Sister Ailee said when the taxi stopped in front of us.
"We are glad to help her; we are friends after all." I answered.
"I will see you again next time. We will head now." Sister Ailee bids goodbye.
We nodded our heads back, "Take care on the way. Aera, rest when you get home." I said, and she nodded her head, saying she would.
For a while, we stay silent. No one even tried to talk until Cavin elbowed me.
"What was that for, Cavin!" I asked.
"A*shole, you were like an idiot a while ago. I would not be surprised if the day comes when you are head over heels for her." Cavin said, while grinning.
"Why? What did we miss a while ago?" Allen asked with curiosity.
"Did he score or what?" Drake asked, so I did not spare a moment to let him live.
"F*cker! Score your shit! How could I even do that to her!" I told him to learn while head locking him.
"Stop now, Leus. You might kill him." Ricx added, trying to separate us.
"You were too flabbergasted a while ago when she smiled at you," Keon said. "Even though I can't help you, a while ago, because she was really stunning just by smiling. Like, how could she smile like that? Too pretty." he added.
"A bonny one, dude." Cavin added.
"Too bad we didn't see it." Drake said, complaining.
"I should see it as well next time." Allen stated that he was determined to do so.
