I saw someone peeping.
"Why, Sir?" Mikaela asked.
I shook my head. "None, I just saw someone outside. Looking secretly at us." I answered.
Their reactions started to get worry.
"Should I go outside and check it?" Mikaela asked, ready to go out.
I stopped my secretary. "No need. No one in our company would do something bad against me, right?" I asked.
I looked again outside. Trying to identify the man behind it. After a few seconds, I saw her again, peeking. Cute.
"It looks like she is not our enemy," I commented. "Anyway, our meeting is now adjourned. Please report back to me if you have any questions or concerns, and thank you very much." I said and walked to surprise the peeping tom.
I secretly open the door and look behind the wall. "So, what's the peeping tom doing here?" I asked, making Aera jump a little. "Sorry." I said, laughing.
I couldn't help but laugh at her funny state. Embarrassed, because I knew what she is doing.
"Ah, excuse me, Sir." Mikaela said, that made me regain my consciousness.
For a brief moment, I forgot that I was in my office and that some of my coworkers were staring at us. There would be no problem if I was not standing next to our door, but here I am standing here, preventing them from going out.
So embarrassing. That was so stupid of me. I never had this kind of awkward moments with my employees, but here I am making one right now.
I immediately give them a way. "Ahh, sorry. You can now go back to your work. And you..." I said, looking at her since I really do not know the reason why she's here, but I was glad that she visited me.
But I don't know what to say to her. She took out her phone and began to type.
"You type faster now than before." I complimented.
She smiled and showed me her phone.
'We cooked a dish earlier at school. I would like to give it to you and give me some feedback if it is good or if it lacks something'
"Oh really? Let's go down to the cafeteria." I said and then guided her to go already.
We headed to the cafeteria and asked them to re-heat her dish.
"How's school?" I asked as we sat down while waiting for the food to be hot.
She showed me her thumbs-up sign before facing her phone and typing.
'I learned to cook a new dish today, which is why I brought it here. I hope you will like it'
"Thank you for letting me taste your dishes. I am looking forward to your other dishes in the future," I replied, and the food arrived exactly. "It's appetizing already. Did you do this alone?" I asked.
'Yes, mushroom risotto is the name of this dish. Tell me if it tastes good or bad. I also need your honest feedback for me to know what I should do next time'
I got the fork and started to eat her dish.
It was flavorful. It can be compared to any high-quality restaurant.
I nodded at her. "It's good. I think you really have a talent when it comes to cooking. If Bricx is here, he will definitely ask you to make one for him. Good job!" complimented her since she really made this risotto tasteful. "I like how the taste melts in my mouth. It's like one of the foods I ate in the restaurants." I added.
She smiled excitedly and signed me a thank you.
"You guys are starting to cook already. It will help you to learn a lot and use it in the future." I told her.
'Yes. Last night, Leus invited me to go eat dinner at his uncle's restaurant. He also taught me a lot of things about cooking. I was able to taste the new menu and even told me that he would be happy to teach me'
"Really? That was great. That would be so helpful for you." I replied. "I heard from Lizzy that Leus' team won the game yesterday." I added.
Aera nodded and faced her phone again. She was busy swiping on her phone before she handed it to me.
"Oh, they are your friends on that team?" I asked and received a nod. "You took a photo of them while playing? This looks cool." I added and swiped at another photo. "And this is your classmates? You are gaining more friends now."
"I am happy to know that you are starting to gain more friends. You will be more comfortable and confident inside the room."
"Oh, when was this photo taken?" I asked when I saw a photo of her with Lizzy.
She pointed downwards twice.
"Now?" I asked, and Aera nodded back at me. "You ate together after the dismissal?" I asked.
I handed back her phone to let her answer.
'Yes. I went into her room a while ago and asked if we could eat together. Lizzy helped me create social media accounts. She taught me how to install apps that I am interested in, and she taught me how to use them'
"Really?" I asked and fished out my phone.
I immediately went to the app and searched for her name.
And I saw her account. I clicked it and looked at her photo.
"Woah, you look good here. Cute." I complimented her and showed it to her.
'Lizzy took that photo a while ago after we ate. Let's be friends there too'
I nodded and added her. "I already did. We can talk to each other here. You can watch a lot of videos here too." I told her.
She is really starting over.
I feel like a proud dad. Damn.
