The woman's condition was worse than last week. She had new wounds on her hands and feet, and her face had bruises that could not escape, especially on the side of her lips. Even her hand is already chained. He knows that she was beaten hard by her parents again, and this scene is too much for him. "Hey." Lance woke him up from afar. He called her again, but she did not even move or wake up. "Wake up," he called again when he slowly got close, but she did not move. "You are still breathing, and you look like you're sleeping well―" He could not continue to speak when he noticed the woman holding the plastic bottle of water he bought last week. "Damn, they already know someone is entering this house," Lance said thoughtfully. He forgot to erase his marks. His conscience seems to make him guilty, because of him, her condition became like that. "Hey, wake up. We need to talk." He tried to wake her up, but she didn't even move. "Are you still okay? Wake up, please." He used both hands to shake and wake her up, but she did not move a little. He left the room and searched for the key to remove the chains from the woman's feet and hands. She needs help. She needed to be taken to the hospital, and Lance planned to do that. He could not find one after looking for the possible keys that could unlock those chains. He also had to ensure that everything he touched was still in its form a while ago. He left the house and returned to his car. He immediately picked up his phone and dialed his friend's number. "Come on, answer―Bricx!" He shouted when Bricx answered the call. Lance can hear the noise of Bricx's keyboard. "Why? Where are you? I am already here at the computer shop. When will you get here? Or Auntie would not let you since you got bad grades." Bricx replied on the other line. "I tried to wake her, but she was not waking up. She is not even flinching! Is it still normal? Is this the sleeping like a log you were saying before?" He asked Bricx, almost panicking. "Is Lizzy not waking up?" Bricx asked anxiously. He shook his head even though his friend couldn't see him. "The girl in the haunted house," Lance replied. "I went there, and she wasn't waking up at all. What should I do?" He added. "What?! I thought you were not going back there again. You said she was dangerous a while ago, and now you are there?" Bricx asked and began to worry. "Call the police or the hospital right now. Stay there. I am going there." he added. Lance immediately said where he parked his car before dropping the call. He got out of the car to see the woman again, but even before he could get close to that house, he could see a woman walking towards the house. He immediately hid in a tree and took out his phone. He pointed the cell phone at the woman to zoom in and see what she looked like. He took some pictures before returning to the car and leaving that place. He called Bricx again to meet at the cafe shop. "Why? What happened? Have you called the police or the hospital for help to check on the woman?" Bricx asked the moment he entered the cafe. Lance shook his head disappointedly. "No," He replied. "I was about to return there but saw a woman going to that house. She looks like the woman's mother, I did not call for help because she would know, especially since someone already knows about the woman." he explained. "Why did you go back there? I thought you were not coming to that house. You said she was dangerous, but why did you come back? You're putting yourself in danger, Lance! What if the woman's mother caught you inside the house and hurt you too?" Bricx said that made him stop. If he had not left there, the woman's mother likely would have seen him. He does not know what would have happened to him. "I'm worried. I didn't realize that I had taken myself to that place again. I was already there, so I just went. I also want to be sure she's okay." he admitted. During the week he wasn't going there, whether the woman was okay or not, it always entered his mind. He also couldn't forget how she looked when he left her as if she didn't want him to go. That is why she tried to catch him. "How could she not wake up when you woke her up? How did you wake her up?" Bricx asked, changing the topic. "At first, I called her, but she didn't wake up. So I tried to hold her to shake her a little, but she still didn't wake up." Lance shared. "Did you check if she was still breathing?" Bricx asked again. He nodded. "Yes, she's still breathing. But I don't know if it's normal or weak. I was in a panic a while ago," he replied. "Her condition is worse now. They already know that someone knows about her." Lance continued. "How did they know?" Lance sighed. "The last time I went there, I bought her some food. I left that clutter there because I was afraid when I found out she was hurting other people." He shared. "When I returned earlier, the one I brought was still there. She was holding the bottled water I bought. It's not just her feet that have chains but also her hands now. She also has new wounds on her body." He added. "Don't go back there first, they already know that. You will be in danger if you go there unsure." Bricx warned. The two fell silent. A few minutes passed before Lance looked at Bricx. "Bricx, I need your help."
