Miss Lan sat on the couch as she watched her daughter happily arranging her clothes in her suitcase. Excitement and giddiness were etched on her face.
"With the enthusiasm that you're showing Julie, I might think you didn't want to stay with me at first." Miss Lan sighed 'pitifully '.
Juliet tilted her head and smiled.
"Don't worry Mummy. It was urgent that's why. And you will be back early next year.", she said.
"Hmm. We won't be spending the new year together then," she said.
"Common Mummy. I didn't spend my first birthday with Cheng and now the new year? I have to." Juliet explained.
"The Cheng huh? Or just Luke?", Miss Lan eyed her teasingly.
"Anything you think." Juliet blushed and giggled before going back to her work. Miss Lan watched her with a smile. She admires the coupled for getting together even after the misunderstanding that happened between them and their family. She envied them.

The airport. Beijing.
The airport was designed with red and green garlands and was quite crowded because of the holidays. For some reason, the weather wasn't that cold today.
"Don't be an anxious brother. I'll be watching from the side. Good luck. " Chloe gave her brother a thumbs up and scurried away from sight.
Luke took a deep breath adjusting his collar. He wore a black coat over a white polo and black jeans. The first time he met Juliet was in this airport and at that time, he didn't even look at her. This time, it will be special. Super special.
Luke couldn't stop his heart from beating rapidly. They've been separated for more than a month now and the fight they had last week was eating him up. He couldn't wait to have her in his embrace again.
Luke placed his hands behind him and waited patiently. More people arrived before his eyes caught sight of the familiar figure.
She wore a peach silk long-sleeved dress with matching shoes. She held her suitcase in one hand and her white coat in the other. Her new hairstyle fitted her so much and Luke found her more beautiful than before.
Juliet's heart was held in her throat and she almost ran over to him. Their gazes met and the crowd around them seemed like nothing. They were lost in a world of their own.
Luke pursed his lips and approached her slowly stopping only two meters before her. He suddenly went down on one knee which caught some attention. Juliet's eyes slightly widened watching his actions.
"Julie." He spoke gently. Juliet's heart melted after hearing him call her name.
"Juliet. I just spent a week without you and it felt like I was losing my mind. I've thought of a thousand things to say to you but after seeing you today, all I know is that I love you, a lot and I can't live without you. I can't. " he confessed with a trembling voice. "If I did anything to upset you, anything, please forgive me. Don't torture me and torture yourself. "
Two lines of tears fell from Juliet's eyes. Luke, I'm sorry for putting you in such a desperate and difficult situation. She wipes her tears and kept her coat on her suitcase before walking towards him.
When they finally met, they both broke.
Luke stared at her beautiful face-up front. She looked beautiful even when crying. He reached into his coat and brought out a small white box. Juliet just stared at him astounded. She'd thought of many ways Luke will welcome her but not a ............
Luke opened the box and therein was a sparkling white ring. He looked up at her and smiled.
"I promised when you get back and I'm keeping my promise. Juliet Li, will you marry me? Please?"
All the strings in Juliet's heart just broke as more tears drenched her face. She covered her lips with her palms to hide her sobs.  Under Luke's intent gaze, she vigorously nodded her head.
"I'll marry you okay? I'll marry you. ", she cried and gave him her left hand.
Luke was over the moon and his eyes also became blurry. He grasped her hand gently and help her wear the ring.
The crowd immediately clapped at the union.
"Luke.", Juliet cried out and helped him up. The two lovers immediately embraced each other tightly. Their longing for one another was something they couldn't describe. Luke had his right hand around Juliet's neck while his left held her waist tightly.
He kissed her hair and uttered,
"I miss you so much. You have no idea."
"I miss you too love. I'm sorry. I really am. I won't do it again. Promise.", Juliet affirmed rubbing his back affectionately.
"I won't let you go sweetheart. Never." He nodded and pulled back for a moment. He wiped her tear-drained face and smiled.
"Stop crying okay?"
"You're crying too." She mumbled and wiped his face too. "I love you." She said and he only responded with a kiss which she responded to. Oh, how long has she waited for this? It was a short kiss and they embraced each other again.
"Sister!"
Juliet raised her head and smiled at the incoming Chloe.
"Chloe!" She called out and they hugged each other too.
"Sister I missed you so so much. " Chloe muttered.
"I missed you more. " Juliet smiled stroking her hair. Chloe pulled back and laughed. "Group hug." Luke came over and joined them.
"Yay. We're family now. You're my sister-in-law now!" Chloe chuckled holding Juliet's hands. Juliet just blushed with happiness while Luke went to take her suitcase.
"Chloe leaves my fiancee alone," he said eyeing his sister.
"Oh, I see." Chlor curled her lips and let Juliet go. Juliet shook her head and walked to look who took her hand.
"Let's go home.", he said softly.
"Home." She smiled and they walked out of the airport with Chloe behind them. Juliet smiled as she watched Luke keep her suitcase in the boot. She remembered how he let her carry her bag the other time. When she first came to Beijing, her heart was closed and dull, she just needed a place to work but now she was going home with her family.
"Chloe you drive," Luke said to his sister.
"Yeah Yeah. You two can snuggle all you want. Just don't distract me.", she said and entered the driver's seat. Luke held Juliet and entered the car. Juliet glanced at his loving gaze and snuggled into his embrace as Chloe drove the car to the cheng house.
We are here! They came out of the car and Juliet stared at the house. Luke went to carry her bag while Chloe opened the door.
"Welcome back!" She smiled with her arms wide opened and walked in. Luke held Juliet and whispered, "the next time I'm bringing you home is as my wife. " She hit his arm but still smiled and they went in. Everything was still the same.
Chloe went to the kitchen while the two went upstairs.
"Your room is still the same my princess. " Luke said and pushed the door open. Juliet released his hand and went to sit on her bed.
"I missed my room." She chuckled.
"I missed you in your room." Luke laughed too and sat beside her. "I want to stay like this forever but you have to freshen up with food. "
"Yeah. Go get that ready while I take a quick bath." Juliet said and pulled him up.
Luke squinted his eyes but nodded. "I'll see if Chloe has everything ready. Dad will be here anytime too." He smiled at her one more time before going out. Juliet smiled and closed the door. It's so good to be home.
Luke came down after keeping his coat and saw Chloe arranging the table. He joined her making sure it was perfect.
"I'll go check on her." He said and went back upstairs. The door to her was opened so he just went in.
"Julie." He called out.
"I'm in the bathroom. I'm coming. " she returned.
He went blank for the moment images forming in his head. The memory of that day played in his mind.
You still there?" Juliet asked and opened the door when Luke slipped in locking the door behind him. She blinked her large eyes staring at him and he stared back. She was in her towel and her hair was still wet.
"You......" Luke caught her shot by grasping her waist.
He buried his head in her hair and took in her nice scent. She closed her eyes as their skin brushed one another.
"I miss every part of you," he whispered and held her face before carrying her to the table and placing her on it.
"Chloe's waiting for us," Juliet muttered avoiding eye contact her hands on his shoulders. Luke ignored her and stared at her luscious lips brushing them gently with his fingers.
"Are you tired?" He asked softly.
Juliet wanted to say something else but just shook her head. Luke smiled and moved her wet hair from her face.
"Look at me, Julie. " Juliet raised her gaze to him and he crashed his lips on hers. Juliet let his shirt go and held his hair pulling him closer. They sucked on each other's lips and tongues until they were out of breath.
"You're forcing me to take another bath." She said seductively.
"We'll go together," he smirked and kissed her earlobe. He went downwards leaving lingering kisses on her neck and collarbone. Soft moans left her lips and he caress her bare back taking the towel down with his other hand. Juliet inclined her head back as he worked on her chest. He raised his head and their lips met again. She wrapped her legs around his waist and he carried her back to the room.
Luke dropped Juliet gently on the bed and went to lock the door in case of intrusion.
Oh, this is so embarrassing. Last time, the lights were off. Juliet felt him grasp her palms and revealed her blushed beautiful face. His clothes were already off.
"Now where were we?"
