As soon as Fay was fully turned, the blanket fell from her wolf body and Alpha Clause moved closer to her. He nuzzled her neck where his mark was and slipped out his tongue to lick it. Fay nuzzled him back and he pulled back then nudged her head with his in affection.
He stared ahead to tell her to run with him. She playfully nipped his wolf ear and licked his snout. They started running together, side by side as Alpha Clause let out a large howl. It was so loud that the ground shook.
Fay gave her own, smaller, more feminine howl. He playfully pushed her with his body as they ran and she did so, jumping around him, from one side to the other. They continued running as they played around each other, howling as they did.
In the morning, Fay and Alpha Clause were in bed in their room. They had returned inside after running together in wolf form, and had made more love after changing back into their human forms. They were both sleeping when a loud knock came on their door.
Fay opened her eyes sleepily and stared at the door with furrowed brows. She was laying beside Alpha Clause as he had his arms wrapped around her waist, and she had her head on his chest. Another knock came on the door, but this time more erratic.
Alpha Clause opened his eyes and glanced at Fay with a small smile before moving his gaze to the door. The knocking intensified which made Alpha Clause irritated. He removed his arms from around Fay and stood up from the bed. She stared at his shirtless torso as his muscles bulged and tightened as he moved.
As he reached the door, he muttered, "Whoever is disturbing our morning will not like the consequences."

He pulled open the door as Fay sat up on the bed to see who was at the door. Brittany appeared in the doorway as she looked from Alpha Clause to Fay. "Alpha, something bad has happened and I need your help right away."
"Did something bad happen to the pack?" He asked as concern washed over his features.
"Yes, Alpha. It is something very bad. Please come with me." Brittany replied trying to look innocent as she widened her eyes.
"Alright, show me." He said to her then turned around to Fay, "I will be back soon, my one."
Fay nodded, "I will come with you."
"No!" Brittany yelled, bringing their attention to her, "I mean, this is urgent she needs to get dressed first. We can't wait any longer, Alpha."
"Alright, let's go." Alpha Clause replied and followed Brittany out of the room and started down the stairs in concern for his pack.
How Brittany reacted when Fay said that she would come too was suspicious and that made her want to go. She was not a very good person and may be planning something bad. Fay thought with furrowed brows in concern for her mate and herself.
She stood up from the bed with the white blanket around her then quickly walked to her closet and pulled out a dress which she slipped on her skimpy night gown. She placed the blanket back on the bed, and she quickly ran out of the room and down the stairs, following Alpha Clause's scent.
His sweet, masculine scent led her to one of the rooms in the hallway downstairs. The door was left slightly ajar and she pushed it open the rest of the way to witness a heartbreaking sight. Brittany wrapped her arms around Alpha Clause's neck just as she saw Fay open the door.
He flung her arms from his neck and she was pushed back a bit as she stared at him with a smile. He looked angry as he glared at her, "What is the meaning of this, Brittany!"
Fay felt hurt and angry at what she witnessed, she let out a sigh as she turned around, and Alpha Clause followed after her. "Fay! It is not what it looks like."
She ignored him and ran up the stairs while Brittany smirked in satisfaction. Her aim was to have his attention and come between them. Mission accomplished, she thought as she watched him run after Fay.
As soon as Fay entered their room, she turned around to Alpha Clause, "I know that Brittany is at fault and that you don't want her, but I feel so disrespected that my own pack members think that they can pull this kind of stunt on us."
Alpha Clause walked closer to her as his expression turned pained, "I am sorry about that, I will not let that happen again."
"It's not just that, Brittany does not know her place and the difference between her and me. I am leaving, Clause. I cannot be your Luna anymore." She said sadly as she looked at him firmly.
He stepped closer and gripped her waist as he shook his head, pain and sadness covered his features. "No, my Fay. You cannot leave, we are mated and I marked you. It would destroy us both, and you know it. If you leave, you are giving her what she wants."
"I don't want drama nor will I stand to be disrespected by another shewolf. As for the mark, we can struggle against it." She said, averting her eyes from his. She didn't want to see the pain and sadness in his eyes. It hurt her and her wolf to see him that way.
He raised his hand from her waist and lifted her chin to bring her eyes to his. "You know that we cannot struggle against it, my one. You also cannot deny the attraction between us even without the mate bond. I have waited too long for you to let you go. I love you, Fay."
She felt her heart tighten in her chest at his words and as she looked into his pained eyes, she knew that she couldn't resist staying away from him. She had never felt as connected to anyone as she had felt with him.
