Prieto reached for his bag, to get the soap case and sponge. Guys! We were ask to report at the camp ground by 10clk at max". The both of them said the message had already got to them. "Am going outside to have my bath", Prieto said to the two of them after locking up his bag. "We will be coming", Larry said. Prieto went outside the hall again, looking around the premises to find where the water supply is. He saw a big reservoir at a distance, where other corpers fetch water. He approached the place to get a bucket to fetch the water, and drift into one of the bathroom building fixed outside, around the premise.
He got a bucket and quickly switched open the tap for water to rush in for use. He carried it into one of the bathroom enclosure, and place the bucket of water inside the place to pull off his shirt, after hooking up the door's to the bathroom. Prieto pulled off his trousers as well, with his inner wear. He placed the soap and sponge casing on a pavement inside the bathroom, and used a bowl he found inside the place, to pour water on his body. He took the soap and scrub it with the sponge to form up the lather, as it foams up while applying the soap to the sponge, he poured water on himself again and started using the sponge to scrub his skin off, dirt and precipitated sweat. He used the sponge to scrub all his body from head to toe, as he poured another bowl of water on himself again. When he finished having his bath, he came out of the bathroom, mopping his body with a medium sized towel he took from his traveling bag.
He headed back to the hall, on his way going, he saw Lucky and Larry coming towards him to the bathroom area. How far guy! Prieto hailed, "u guys should quickly go to the bathroom and use the bucket inside the place, to fetch your water for bath, no time". " Hope the bathroom has a toilet facility in it?", Lucky asked and Prieto said yes. The two of them quickly rushed in quick steps, to the bathroom for the buckets. Larry decided to have it bath first, while Lucky wait so his brother can finish before he take his. In no time Larry got the water fetched, and went straight to the bathroom carrying the bucket. He had his bath and came out of the place, bringing out the bucket to Lucky. He collected it from him and rapidly rush to the tap to fetch some too.
Larry walked back into the hall after mopping his body with the towel he collected from Lucky, he hung it outside the bathroom by the door entrance of the place, so Lucky can easily take it, once he finish having is bath from the outside rare of the door. Larry left for the hall where they kept their bags, to dress up for their presentation at the camp ground location. Many of the new arrival were already started going to the camp ground already, while more were still hanging around in the hall, either getting dressed or checking up their documents, to put the proper required papers intact for their NYSC registration, before they proceed with their service.
Prieto already finished got dressed in a long sleeve, and a trouser with a black shoe to couple with his dress sense. Combing his hair to assume a neat style, after he was done he brought out a file with different paper documents in it, shuffling them to get the brown envelope that enclose the NYSC papers sent to him, because it will be required during the registration. Most especially the counterfoil, will be returned to the administration as required. Prieto saw Larry dressing up, while Lucky was just coming into the hall after he had finished having his birth, with towel wrapped around his neck as he entered the hall, walking towards his brother.
Larry bid him to get dressed as soon as possible, so they can have themselves quick on line, on the camp ground for the process. " Its15minute to 10clk you know", Larry said to Lucky. Really! Lucky exclaimed. At this time, the hall had almost got empty, everyone of the new arrival had already started going close to the administration ground. Prieto already got himself set too. He placed his bag in a safe spot, zipped up. "Guys I will be going to the camp now, hope to have you guys coming". "Lucky said alright". Prieto left. Larry brought out their papers, and shuffled the required in two places.
One for him and the other for Lucky. Larry had their paper set, and kept the rest of the things they had back into the bag. He already made it easy for his brother who just quickly dressed up, and took his papers with him and called Larry that they can now start going. The time was already some few minutes after 10clk. They proceeded to join the rest of the new comers, at the camp ground. On getting there, they saw alot of crowded new arrival who were just like them, some slept outside the camp premises, taking turns to get presents with the rest of those that have no other alternative, but to pass the night in the compound, to at least be around a safety environment, as long distance traveled comers.
They all were there, all kinds of people from different part of the states. The tall and the short, the fat and the slim. Some werere even pregnant, while some look very younger than expected of their sizes, and age in compare to other ones at the premises. Sooner, an instruction was passed to everyone present at the camp ground, to be on a straight line queue, one for the male and the other for the female. So was the instructions passed, so the official can administer a workable registration process. Imemediately the instructions got to the new arrival at the camp, the struggle and bustle started in the midst.
The struggle to quickly get to the position, where they will be attended to quickly, became each person's challenge in the midst. Everyone of them started making a move for their placement on the queue, in respect to have their registration process going. At the same time, precaution were announced to the ones forcefully trying to force their way to the frontline, to play a safe initiative of not pushing people that had already took their places on the line. The team official that were handling the registration process, told the corpers that were trying to forcefully get themselves on queue, to excersice patience by joing the queue from the back, so as not to distort the process.
