Alvierra's P.O.V.
 
I brought my order to the farthest seat. I also took out my water bottle. I was about to start eating when I saw a man approaching. Based on my observation, he had a soft demeanor. It wasn't very obvious because he seemed to be trying to hide it. I didn't want to judge, I think he's gay.
 
"Hi miss, you're beautiful. Can I get your number?" he asked. I looked at where he was looking and saw a group of guys looking at us too.
 
"Don't prove yourself to anyone. You're not straight and I think they called you gay and you want to prove to them that you're not soft so you approached me to get my number. You're just wasting your time with them." I said with a smile. "Just let them think what they want as long as you're not stepping on anyone."
 
"You know? Like, no one knows I'm gay." he said in a manly voice.
 
"Or maybe others know but they're just afraid to ask." I said.
 
"My Dad will kill me if he finds out. So I'm doing everything I can to stop myself from dressing like a girl and moving like a gay man. Even my voice, I trained it to sound manly so I wouldn't have any problems." he said.
 
"You're scared of your father so you chose to hide it? You know, you should show who you are and what you are because it's hard to hide that. I'm sure they'll accept you too." I said.
 
"You haven't experienced being with my Dad. I am the only son and my parents have high expectations of me. That's why I took up Business Ads because someone has to inherit their business." he said.
 
Maybe I don't have the right to tell him to come out because I'm not in his situation to say that.
 
"I don't pity you. I admire your strength and being a good son. You chose their wishes over your own. You're not selfish. But don't forget to think about yourself even just once in a while. Don't worry, in front of me you can do whatever you want, be comfortable with me." I said with a smile.
 
"Really?! Can I be your friend? I'm Kael Buenavista." he said with a smile. "But you can call me Kayla at night."
 
I laughed at what he said. This is the first time I've had a gay friend. I have acquaintances but I'm not close to them.
 
"I'm Alvierra Kate Mendoza." I said.
 
"Alvierra is too long. I'll call you Alvi from now on. Okay, nice to meet you, I have to get something from my locker. See you again, okay?" he said with a smile. I nodded.
 
I started eating my food that was interrupted earlier. I'm also trying to stop being grumpy sometimes with people who introduce themselves to me. It's okay to make friends, I was just scared before.
 
I took out my schedule and looked at it. We're in the Computer Lab next. I don't know how to use a computer yet. I heard a beep on my phone, the small one Papa gave me.
 
I read the text and it was from Rai. She was asking where I was. As if she was going to visit me, her school is so far away. I said I was at school and she asked me my exact location. I said at the Cafeteria. I was frowning while finishing my food.
 
She didn't reply anymore. I was about to stand up to return the tray when a guy sat in front of me with a wide smile. My eyes widened.
 
"R-rade." I said.
 
"I missed you Alvs." he said with a smile.
 
"So, It's your lunch break too." I said.
 
"So you weren't even surprised that I'm studying here?" he asked. I shook my head in response. He gave me a questioning look.
 
"I saw you enter the gate earlier. I was wondering why you were here." I asked.
 
"I don't know, this is the school I wanted to go to." he said. "If you're asking if I passed the Entrance Exam. Yes, it's required for Engineering courses."
 
"Engineering?!" I asked.
 
"Yes, you'll have an Engineer friend now." he said.
 
"And why did you take that? You told me when we were in 1st Year High School that you wanted to be a Chef." I said.
 
"Everything changes. Besides, I wasn't sure back then."
 
"What time is next class?" I asked.
 
"12:10pm." he said. I nodded and stood up. "Wait, I'm just going to order. Come with me. Okay, wait, I'll treat you to snacks. I'll bring them back."
 
He quickly took the tray and went to the Counter. I just sat back down.
 
When he came back, he was carrying a tray and snacks and soft drinks.
 
"That's too much." I said.
 
"Of course, it's not just for you."
 
"Not for me, but for you, I said it's too much for you alone." I said and pointed to the tray and the other snacks. I just took a drink and a snack to help him finish it.
 
"Have you made any new friends?" he asked.
 
"Yes, just one."
 
"Girl?" he asked.
 
"What does that have to do with gender?" I asked laughing.
 
"Tss, it's better if your friend is a girl." he said.
 
"Why can't it be a guy?" I asked.
 
"It just, I can tell you're closer to guys than girls." he said. I thought about whether I had a lot of guy friends. Aside from Rade, I'm also friends with Juls and Nash. Leo also considers me a friend so I consider him a friend too. The one earlier, Kael. But he's half so 0.5?
 
"Only five. I have a lot of girl friends." I said.
 
"Five?" he asked.
 
"You, Juls, Nash, Leo and Kael." I said.
 
"Kael?"
 
"Yes, my new found friend." I was going to say he's gay but I wanted to respect Kael and keep it a secret even from Rade, my best friend.
 
"Oh so he's a guy?" he asked.
 
"Yes, I just said it, you're repeating yourself." I said laughing.
 
"Tss, he's the one who made friends or you?" he asked.
 
"Hmm, me? He's lonely. Wait, it sounds like you are my boyfriend." I said laughing.
 
I saw his eyes widen. He quickly averted his gaze and drank some water.
 
"Hey! What happened to you?" I asked.
 
"Nothing. And what sounds like a boyfriend? I'm just concerned because you might be befriending just anyone. You shouldn't just trust anyone." he said.
 
"Yes Dad." I said and just sipped my soft drink.
 
"Boyfriend a while ago, Dad now. What's next?"
 
"Husband next." I said laughing. I was surprised when he spat out the water he was drinking. I almost got hit by it, good thing I dodged. "What are you doing?!"
 
"S-sorry." he said and took out his handkerchief and wiped his mouth. "Don't talk about husbands."
 
"I was just joking." I said.
 
"Even so, don't make a joke like that in front of me." he said.
 
"Okay, I won't." I said. He is so weird.
 
I looked at the time on my watch and saw it was 11:50. I told him to hurry because he only had 20 minutes left for his break.
 
"We'll go home together later, okay?" he said. I just nodded and watched his back. I smiled because he hasn't changed, he's still so playful.
