The ‘Walking is Fun Until It’s Not’ Scene
The journey was quiet at first.
Too quiet.
Jax, after an hour. “I’m bored.”
Lucienne, mocking. “Shocking.”
Jax, dramatic. “Why is walking so long?”
Elara, flatly. “Because distance exists.”
Jax, mock offense. “Wow. Thanks for the lesson, professor.”
Elara, grinning. “Anytime.”
Kael, calmly. “Keep moving.”
Lucienne, teasing. “Bossy as always.”
Kael, dry. “Efficient.”
Jax, grumbling. “I hate that word.”
Lucienne, mocking. “Because you don’t know what it means?”
Jax, gasping. “EXCUSE ME—”
Elara, laughing.
Kael, shaking his head.
It was—
Nice.
For now.
But—
Something was coming.
They just didn’t know what yet.
---
The ‘I Have a Bad Feeling About This’ Scene
An hour later—
Kael stopped walking.
Instantly—
Everyone went silent.
Jax, whispering. “What is it?”
Kael, quiet. “Something’s watching us.”
Elara, tense. “Where?”
Kael, slowly looking around. “Everywhere.”
Lucienne, muttering. “Great.”
Jax, grinning. “Finally, some action.”
Elara, deadpan. “You’re insane.”
Jax, cheerful. “I like to call it bravery.”
Lucienne, mocking. “I like to call it stupidity.”
Kael, calmly. “Focus.”
They stilled.
Listened.
Waited.
And then—
The attack came.
---
The ‘Surprise, We’re Dying’ Scene
It happened fast.
Shadows burst from the trees.
Sharp claws. Glowing eyes.
No time to think.
Only react.
Kael—sword up, striking first.
Elara—dodge, slash, step back.
Lucienne—daggers out, spinning away.
Jax—laughing, punching a creature in the face.
Jax, cheerful. “OH, THIS IS FUN.”
Elara, gritted teeth. “YOU’RE INSANE.”
Jax, grinning. “YOU LOVE IT.”
Lucienne, mocking. “I think we need better friends.”
Kael, deadpan. “Agreed.”
But—
They kept fighting.
One.
Then two.
Then five.
Too many.
Kael, low voice. “There’s more coming.”
Elara, breathless. “You don’t say.”
Jax, grinning. “At least we’re not bored anymore.”
Lucienne, sarcastic. “Yes, wonderful. Let’s celebrate later.”
Kael, serious. “We need to move.”
Elara, nodding. “Agreed.”
Jax, punching another creature. “BUT WHERE?”
Kael, gritting his teeth. “Anywhere but here.”
Elara, pulling Jax’s arm. “MOVE.”
And—
They ran.
---
The ‘Running is the Worst’ Scene
Branches whipped past.
Breathing—sharp.
Footsteps—fast.
Lucienne, panting. “We need… a better plan.”
Elara, gasping. “No kidding.”
Jax, grinning. “I say we fight more.”
Kael, flatly. “You say a lot of things.”
Jax, cheerful. “And I’m always right.”
Elara, deadpan. “That’s a lie.”
Jax, mock offense. “You wound me.”
Lucienne, dry. “Not enough.”
Kael, firm. “Focus.”
Because—
The creatures weren’t stopping.
Elara, gritted teeth. “There’s too many.”
Kael, serious. “We split up.”
Lucienne, blunt. “Bad idea.”
Jax, grinning. “Sounds fun.”
Kael, ignoring them. “We regroup later.”
Elara, hesitating.
Then—
She nodded.
And just like that—
They split.
---
The ‘Great, Now We’re Alone’ Scene
Elara ran fast.
Heart pounding.
Breath shallow.
But—
She kept moving.
Until—
The silence hit.
No footsteps.
No voices.
Just—
Nothing.
Elara, muttering. “This is bad.”
A rustle.
A shadow.
Then—
A figure.
Stepping into the light.
Not a monster.
Not a stranger.
But—
Kael.
Elara, relieved. “You’re alive.”
Kael, calmly. “You sound surprised.”
Elara, grinning. “A little.”
Kael, mock offense. “Wow.”
Elara, softly. “Glad you’re here, though.”
Kael, watching her. “Yeah.”
Silence.
But—
A good kind.
Elara, glancing at him. “So, what now?”
Kael, smirking. “We survive.”
Elara, grinning. “Again?”
Kael, mock serious. “Always.”
Elara rolled her eyes.
But—
She liked it.
A little too much.
And that was dangerous.
---
The ‘I Hate This Forest’ Scene
Elara, grumbling. “Why is this place so… dark?”
Kael, calmly. “Because it’s night.”
Elara, deadpan. “Thank you, Captain Obvious.”
Kael, smirking. “Anytime.”
Elara, sighing. “We need to find the others.”
Kael, nodding. “We will.”
Elara, quietly. “You sound confident.”
Kael, shrugging. “I have to be.”
Elara, watching him.
She hated how reassuring that was.
Kael, glancing at her. “You okay?”
Elara, snapping out of it. “Fine. Just… tired.”
Kael, softly. “Me too.”
But—
They kept moving.
Because stopping meant getting caught.
And that wasn’t an option.
---
The ‘Surprise, We’re Not Alone’ Scene
A sound.
A snap of a branch.
Elara, whispering. “Did you hear that?”
Kael, already drawing his sword. “Yes.”
They froze.
Listened.
Waited.
Then—
Jax, bursting from the bushes. “HI BESTIES.”
Elara, jumping. “OH MY—”
Kael, lowering his sword. “Jax.”
Jax, grinning. “That’s my name, don’t wear it out.”
Elara, glaring. “I will punch you.”
Jax, mock horror. “Violence? From you? I’m shocked.”
Kael, sighing. “Where’s Lucienne?”
Jax, grinning. “Oh, she’s—”
Lucienne, deadpan, stepping out. “Right here. Unfortunately.”
Elara, relieved. “You’re okay.”
Lucienne, raising an eyebrow. “Why do you sound surprised?”
Elara, grinning. “A little.”
Lucienne, mock offense. “Rude.”
Jax, grinning. “I missed you guys.”
Kael, flatly. “You were gone for ten minutes.”
Jax, dramatic. “It felt like years.”
Lucienne, muttering. “I should’ve left you in the woods.”
Jax, cheerful. “You love me.”
Lucienne, deadpan. “That’s false.”
Elara, smiling.
They were all together again.
But—
The danger wasn’t over.
Not even close.
---
The ‘Time to Move, Again’ Scene
Kael, serious. “We can’t stay here.”
Jax, mocking. “Wow, really? Had no idea.”
Kael, ignoring him. “We need shelter.”
Lucienne, nodding. “And a plan.”
Elara, quietly. “And food.”
Jax, grinning. “YES. I’m starving.”
Kael, firm. “Then let’s move.”
They walked.
Again.
Jax, muttering. “Why is surviving so much work?”
Elara, teasing. “Would you rather be dead?”
Jax, cheerful. “Depends. Do I get a snack first?”
Lucienne, muttering. “I hate you.”
Jax, grinning. “No, you don’t.”
Lucienne, sighing. “I wish I did.”
Kael, shaking his head.
Elara, hiding a smile.
For now—
They were safe.
But that wouldn’t last.
It never did.
---
The ‘We Should Have Stayed Lost’ Scene
An hour later—
Jax, excitedly. “GUYS. LOOK.”
Elara, suspicious. “If it’s another bug, I’m leaving you.”
Jax, grinning. “It’s not a bug.”
Lucienne, muttering. “Thank the gods.”
Jax, pointing. “It’s a village.”
Kael, sharp. “Where?”
Jax, grinning. “Right over—”
He froze.
Elara, frowning. “What?”
Jax, quietly. “Uh… never mind.”
Lucienne, raising an eyebrow. “What?”
Jax, pointing. “It’s… abandoned.”
Elara, tense. “That’s bad.”
Kael, nodding. “Very.”
Lucienne, sighing. “But do we care?”
Kael, firm. “We need shelter.”
Jax, cheerful. “And maybe food.”
Elara, quietly. “I don’t like this.”
Kael, softly. “Me neither.”
But—
They had no choice.
So—
They stepped inside.
And—
They regretted it instantly.
---
The ‘We Are So Screwed’ Scene
The village was—
Dead.
Empty.
Too quiet.
Elara, whispering. “I hate this.”
Jax, nodding. “Same.”
Lucienne, grumbling. “For once, we agree.”
Kael, tense. “Stay close.”
They moved.
Slow.
Careful.
And then—
A sound.
A whisper.
Jax, freezing. “Did you hear that?”
Elara, whispering. “Yes.”
Lucienne, low voice. “Not alone.”
Kael, nodding. “Weapons. Now.”
They drew their blades.
Waited.
Listened.
And then—
Something moved.
Something big.
And it saw them.
---
The ‘Fighting is Overrated’ Scene
A roar.
A blur of movement.
Then—
Chaos.
Kael, dodging.
Elara, spinning away.
Lucienne, daggers up.
Jax, grinning. “FINALLY.”
Elara, glaring. “WHY ARE YOU EXCITED?”
Jax, punching a creature. “I LIKE TO WIN.”
Lucienne, deadpan. “We might die.”
Jax, cheerful. “Not today!”
Elara, gritted teeth. “You’re INSANE.”
Kael, calmly. “Focus.”
Because—
This fight wasn’t easy.
But they had no choice.
So they fought.
Again.
And again.
Until—
They won.
Barely.
---
The ‘Victory is Exhausting’ Scene
Jax, collapsing. “I AM SO TIRED.”
Lucienne, breathing hard. “Shocking.”
Elara, panting. “That was awful.”
Kael, calmly. “But we’re alive.”
Jax, grinning. “For now.”
Lucienne, glaring. “Shut up.”
Jax, laughing.
Elara, sighing. “We should rest.”
Kael, nodding. “Agreed.”
So—
They did.
For now.
But—
This wasn’t over.
