Episode 24

Dara strode into the throne room, his heart pounding with anticipation. Just as he expected, Karl sat upon the throne, alone and seemingly unguarded. Dara knew they had a plan, a trap waiting to be sprung, but he was ready. He moved with purpose, his sword held high, radiating an aura of confidence.
"Ah, Dara," Karl drawled, a hint of amusement in his voice. "Perhaps you believe you've already won?"
Dara ignored the taunt, his eyes fixed on Karl. "You are defeated, Karl. Step down from the throne and surrender. Face the consequences of your tyranny against my people, my kingdom, and against me!"
Karl rose from the throne, a slow, graceful movement that belied the danger lurking beneath the surface. "No, Dara," he said, his voice laced with icy calm. "I think you are the one who will be surrendering. Or else..." He paused, his gaze sweeping over Dara. "You will lose someone dear to you."
As the words left Karl's lips, Myth emerged from the shadows, Ruth clutched tightly in his grasp. His sword pressed against her throat, a cold, steel blade poised to strike.
Dara's breath hitched in his throat. He wouldn't allow Ruth to be harmed. Losing the war was nothing compared to losing her. She was the reason he was here, the reason he had rallied his forces, the reason why she was able to get to this place. He would do anything, sacrifice everything, to protect her.
"If you harm her, you will regret ever being born!" Dara roared, his voice filled with a raw, primal fury.
Myth smirked, his eyes gleaming with a cruel amusement. "It's your choice, Dara. Surrender, and she'll be safe. Keep your sword, or she'll pay the price."
As Dara's heart pounded in fear, he became very confused and not knowing what to do, him keeping down his sword simply means he is losing the war he already won and that means he had failed his people.
Entering this throne room he knew something was amiss for seeing only Karl sitting on the throne without guards, but he hadn't anticipated this. He had assumed a trap, but not one that involved Ruth. But nevertheless she should have been with Micah by now, according to their plan Micah was supposed to have sneaked into the palace and get her earlier on.
He couldn't understand why she was still with Myth. Or... had Micah been defeated? It seemed impossible.
"Do it boy! I will not say it again!" Myth yelled with his sword seriously pressing against Ruth's neck and observing how serious it is, Dara slowly lowered his sword, his heart sinking. "Please, don't hurt her!" Dara shouted.
"Dara, No!! don't keep it!!" Ruth cried out, her voice filled with terror.
Despite her plea, Dara surrendered, lowering his weapon. The moment it touched the ground, the room filled with soldiers, surrounding him.
"See? It's not always about power, but about strategy," Myth boasted. "You're alone now, it's true you must have killed more of my soldiers but I'm winning!"
While Dara was still smiling, his triumph was short-lived. An arrow, fired with incredible speed and precision, struck each of his soldiers that surrounded Dara in the head, dropping them instantly.
And then there was Obed, wielding his magical weapon, stood in the doorway, his eyes blazing with fury.
"You lied! He's not alone! Let her go!" Obed shouted, striding into the room. And then Myth's and Karl's breath became very heavy as they began to tremble.
They think they are smart but Dara is smarter, their plan had been outsmarted by Dara.
Dara smiled, relief washing over him. He picked up his sword, ready to fight alongside Obed.
"Surrender, both of you! Or she'll get hurt!" Myth yelled, his voice laced with desperation.
Obed, with a swift movement, shot an arrow towards Myth. the arrow bypassed Ruth with it's magical ability and struck Myth in the arm, forcing him to release her. Ruth rushed towards Dara, throwing her arms around him in a tight embrace.
Dara, still holding Ruth close, leaned down and kissed her. He then turned his attention to Myth, his sword raised.
Then he gracefully approached Myth who was crawling backwards in struggle as he was breeding heavily. My was ready to deliver the final blow. But before he could strike, Karl stepped forward, his voice cutting through the tense silence.
"Don't kill him! He's your brother! Your twin brother!"
Dara stared at Karl in disbelief, as did Myth. "Bunch of jokes!" Dara shouted believing that it was just an ordinary statement, he still went ahead wanting to cut off Myth's head but he was interrupted again.
"No, it's no joke! It's the truth," Karl said, his voice heavy with regret.
"The day your mother gave birth to you both, she passed away. I separated you two. Genesis wasn't around, and I took Myth away. My wife could only bear one child, a girl, and she couldn't have any more. I didn't want to marry another woman and I'm in badly need of a son" Karl said as he took in a deep breath and the conversation become so interesting.
"So I saw this as an opportunity. I took Myth and lied, when my friend Genesis returned from his voyage I told him your mother had only given birth to you."
Karl's voice trembled as he continued. "If you kill Myth, you'll be killing your own brother. If anyone deserves punishment, it's me. Don't hurt him!"
The room fell silent, the weight of the revelation settling upon them. Then, Myth, his face contorted with rage, grabbed a sword and lunged at Karl, stabbing him through the heart.
"You monster! All this while... you turned me against my own family!" Myth screamed, his voice filled with a mixture of anger and grief.
He then turned to Dara, bowing low. "Long live my king!"
The news of Karl's death and Myth's revelation spread like wildfire. Dara, standing alongside his brother, announced to the cheering crowd that the war was over. He was crowned king, and Ruth, his beloved, stood by his side. He also announced that Myth would rule alongside him, a gesture of forgiveness and reconciliation.
The kingdom was finally at peace, but the scars of the past remained. Dara, now king, had to find a way to heal those wounds and build a future where brother would never be pitted against brother. He knew it wouldn't be easy, but he was determined to create a better world for himself, his brother, and his people.
