Episode 28.

| East Kingdom |
The roar of the crowd was deafening, a symphony of cheers and applause that echoed through the bustling streets of the Eastern Kingdom. Obed, astride his magnificent steed, felt a thrill course through him, a sensation he had never experienced before. He had never imagined himself as a hero, a figure worthy of such adoration.
His journey to this moment had been fraught with turmoil, fueled by a thirst for vengeance that had nearly consumed him. He had been blinded by anger, convinced that Dara, was responsible for the death of his sister. He had been on the verge of unleashing his fury, but thank God for a friend like Micah, who had always intervened, his words a beacon of reason in the storm of Obed's rage.
He do always remembers Micah's warning back then, "Obed, you must see the truth! Dara is not your enemy. Your anger will only lead to destruction."
But Obed had was deaf to Micah's pleas, his heart hardened by grief and a desire for retribution. Bit still thanks to Micah who never get's tired in telling him even though he is a very stubborn person to the extent that Micah got tired but still, he was lucky enough that he realized that he had been wrong, that his anger had blinded him to the truth.
But that is all by the way now, he remembered so well how he told himself that he will find a new path, one that would lead him away from the darkness that had once consumed him once the wall is over. He had to leave behind the memories of his past, the pain and the anger, and start anew. He had to find a place where he could rebuild his life, where he could be someone worthy of the love and respect he had always craved.
And now is that very opportunity he had always wanted, Dara had made it much easier for him to start a new life by naming him the Lord of a far away kingdom.
Finally here he is, he had arrived at the Eastern Kingdom, a land of opportunity and promise. The people welcomed him with open arms, their faces alight with admiration. He was their savior, the one who had brought peace to their land, the formal king was nothing but ruthless to them.
As he dismounted from his horse, the elders of the kingdom approached him, their faces etched with wisdom and respect. They were the ones who would guide him, who would help him to navigate the complexities of ruling a kingdom.
Obed felt a surge of gratitude, a sense of belonging that he had never known before. He had found his place, a place where he could finally heal and begin to live a life filled with purpose and meaning.
The elders led Obed into a grand hall, its walls adorned with tapestries depicting the kingdom's history. The air buzzed with anticipation as they gathered around him, their faces a mix of curiosity and respect. They spoke of their plans for the kingdom, their voices filled with passion and wisdom. They outlined their vision for a prosperous and peaceful future, a future where the people would thrive under Obed's leadership.
Obed listened intently, his mind racing. He was impressed by their intelligence and their dedication to the kingdom's well-being. He realized that he had stumbled upon a treasure trove of knowledge and experience, a group of individuals who possessed the wisdom to guide him through the challenges of ruling.
But a nagging question lingered in his mind. Why had he not encountered these wise individuals during their visit to this Kingdom at that time of war? Where had they been when the kingdom needed them most? Were they the kind of advisors who deserts when he would be in need of them, or would the ones that would stand by him through thick and thin?
He decided to hold back his questions for now. It was too early to delve into such sensitive matters. Instead, he focused on the immediate task at hand: celebrating his victory and forging a bond with his new subjects.
A grand feast was held in the town square, a vibrant celebration of unity and hope. The air thrummed with music and laughter as the people danced and sang, their faces illuminated by the flickering flames of countless bonfires. Tables laden with food stretched as far as the eye could see, offering a feast fit for a king.
Obed mingled with the crowd, his heart swelling with a warmth he had never known. He saw the joy in their eyes, the gratitude they felt for his arrival. He knew that he had found his place, a place where he could finally be the leader he had always dreamed of being.
The following day, Obed summoned the elders to a private meeting. He wanted to delve deeper into their plans for the kingdom, to understand their vision and their motivations. He wanted to know if they were truly committed to his success, or if they were simply seeking power and influence.
The elders arrived promptly, their faces composed and their eyes alert. They were ready to answer his questions, to share their wisdom and their knowledge.
Obed sat upon his throne, a symbol of his newfound authority. The elders, seated before him, their faces etched with a mixture of respect and curiosity, awaited his words. He could have simply begun his address, his status as Lord granting him the right to speak without explanation. But tradition dictated that he acknowledge their presence, that he explain the purpose of their gathering.
"My esteemed elders," he began, his voice resonating with a newfound confidence, "I thank you for honoring my invitation. The reason for this meeting is simple, a matter of discussing the future of our kingdom. We shall explore ways to strengthen our economy, to empower our people, and to ensure a future free from the scourge of war."
He paused, allowing his words to settle, then continued, "We must focus on building a prosperous kingdom, one where our people can thrive. The pursuit of power through conflict is a futile endeavor. Instead, we must strive for a future where our economy flourishes, where trade thrives, and where our people are empowered to reach their full potential."
