"Young brother , are you going to the mystic ruin ?". A short chubby man asked me with a questioning gaze . 
 "Yes , I am ". I answered him . 
 " Sigh ! , young people , you must have ran away from home to adventure , right ?". The man looked at me with pity . 
 I was speechless at the conclusion of the short man , when I descended into the martial world with the intent of exploring the ruin, I meet the man in the ruin city and asked him for directions . 
 The incomplete heavenly way must be related to the Mystic ruin because it appeared exactly the same time the heavenly way became incomplete . 
 The martial world must have had demigods powerhouses in the past and as if what happened to them , I intend to uncover the fog of mystery that covered the martial world . 
 I was currently outside the ruin city , a city that was built by several void realm powerhouses in order to get a foothold while exploring the ruin . 
 The fat man dragged me to a corner and said sternly "You should not be impulsive , there are countless dangers in the forest of ruins before you can even enter the ruin ". 
 "Since I was confident to come here , naturally I have things that I can rely on ". I said with exasperation . 
 The fat man glared at me "What thing ! , with how young you are , how strong can you be ". The fat man tried to check my cultivation only to discover that it was blank . 
 "Ehhhh , are you hiding your cultivation with a treasure ? . You must be from a noble family considering your looks and temperament . Contact your elders so that they will come and take you back ". The fat man continued to persuade me . 
 "Thank you for your good intentions but you don't have to worry about my safety ". I dragged my hand out from his grip and said calmly . 
 The fat man sighed and said "Then, you have to stick beside me , I am familiar with the forest of ruin so I can atleast assure your safety till we get to the peripheral areas of the mystic ruin ". He said with a face that required no rejection . 
 I shrugged my shoulders and agreed , I was not in a hurry anyway . We walked into the ruin city to purchase the things he mentioned that were necessary for the journey . 
 I noticed that he was purchasing antipoison pills in large quantity. "Are there large of poison in the ruin ?". I couldn't help but ask him . 
 The fat man sighed and said "The forest of ruin are sometimes flooded by green like phantoms who are very toxic and can inflict serious injuries on you if you come in contact with them . Only void realm beings can deal actual damage to them , the attacks of beings below the void realm will only pass through their bodies, appearing futile ". 
 I nodded and sank into deep thoughts , the dark queen was heavily poisoned after entering the ruin . Could the toxic phantoms be related to the actual reason . 
 "What's your name , boy ?". The man asked , disrupting my thoughts . 
 "My name is Drex ". I answered . 
 "My name is Ethan , my job is selling various mystic herbs gotten from the ruin ". He shook his head and said "Even with my domain realm cultivation , I almost died several times ". 
 "Have anyone gone into the depths of the ruin ?". I asked him.
 "Yes , a year ago . Several powerhouses gathered together and went into the depths of the ruin only to come out with half of their numbers ". A frightened expression surfaced on his face "They were all severely injured and the horror on their faces back then was unforgettable , it was as if they encountered a terrifying being in there ". 
 With all the information I gathered so far , the hints showed the some terrifying creatures were residing in the depth of the ruin . 
 "Let's hurry and find a suitable place to set up camp in the forest of ruins ". He said hurriedly as we departed from the city . 
 The sky above the forest of ruins was strangely green in colour . The air was very toxic and was not conducive for a non cultivator , a mortal will instantly die if he or she comes in contact with the air here . 
 I expanded my divine sense and discovered several green phantoms that was alternating between illusion and reality .They have already surrounded the entire forest without anyone taking notice of them. Strange aura that was coming from them showed that they were formed from the remnants of laws . 
 "Interesting ". I muttered slowly and withdrew my divine sense . It seems that the ruin was holding unimaginable secrets. 
 It was already night so we found a corner of the forest and set up a camp . Ethan brought out meat and wine and gave to me . We eat and drank while chatting under the sky with relaxed expressions . 
 With my discussion with the fatty , I discovered how kind hearted he was and I wondered how he managed to survive all these years without being killed off . 
 "You might think am stupid for randomly helping a stranger , right ?". He grinned and asked me .  
 "Yeah , it's quite a stupid thing to do ". I frankly said while devouring the meat in my hand . 
 When last did I eat a mortal meal , I could not even remember anymore . The meat was juicy and it seemed to be accompanied by a unique taste . I never been relaxed like this for the past months . 
 He sighed and relaxed back "Actually , that's my nature . I don't like to see people suffer ". 
 "You must have suffered alot because of it ". I chuckled and said . The kind of world we are in , do not tolerate kindness . 
 He grinned widely until his eyes narrowed into slits . "Of course , I have been decieved many times but it's nothing , I am used to it . My father told me when I was young that the martial world was filled with darkness and he hoped that I will become a ray of light in the darkness ". 
 Did his father really love him with this kind of advice ?. I sighed gently . Sometimes being too kind leaves you vulnerable . 
 "You have your own conviction and it is admirable but you must always know that been too kind in the martial world only puts you in danger so you must act with prudence ". I advised him out of my good intentions.  
 It was rare to see such a man in the world now so I quite admired him . 
 "I know ". He smiled and said . "The martial world is in chaos now ever since the fall of the overlord sects . Everyone is now acting wantonly without any regard for the law ". He sighed and gulped down his wine . 
 "The situation is that serious ?". I asked with curiosity . 
 "It seems that your family is quite secluded ". He shook his head and said "The situation is terrible , several sects are vying for the heamogeny of the martial world and countless of mortals are dying everyday from their clash ". 
 I furrowed my brows and frowned . It seems I have to send people to the martial world and surpress all the forces here . That means that plan will have to be carried forward . 
 Suddenly , boooom!!!! clusters of green fog covered the sky . Ethan stood up with a frightened expression on his face . "How could this be possible ?". He said with fright . 
 "The actual date for their invasion was still two weeks away ". Confusion clouded his face . 
 After studying the pattern of the green phantoms , various experts discovered that the green phantoms only appear when there is energy storm that usually occur once a month In the ruin and the energy storm was suppose to occur in two weeks time . 
 "We have to rush back to the ruin city ". He said as he packed his belongings . 
 I shook my head and said " it is too late ". Countless of gree8 phantoms have already surrounded the part of forest we are in . 
 "Ahhhhhh!!!!". A shrill scream sounded in the distance as a commotion broke out in the forest . Countless of adventurers were fleeing for their lives with horror written all over their faces . 
 "Stay close to me ". Ethan held my hand as he expanded his domain and sneakily ran while carefully avoiding the green phantoms . I rubbed my nose in embarrassment and wondered what Tian and the martial gods will say when they see me being protected by domain level being . 
 Boooom!!! boooom!!! fierce explosions occurred in our front as several people were fighting the green phantoms . Ethan hesitated for a moment but when he saw them being overwhelmed , he decided to give them a helping hand . 
 "Expand your domains and cooperate with me . The green phantoms are not sentinent , they only attack when they sense life force ". Ethan shouted . 
 The people hurriedly expanded their domains as they worked together to conceal their life force . After a while , the green phantoms gradually disappeared when they did not sense any life force again . 
 "Pheeew!!! , that was a close call ". Ethan heaved a sigh of relief . I looked at the surrounding people and smiled mysteriously . This fatty did not know the kind of people he just saved . 
 The leader of the group had a large scar on his face and he was tall and burly , with ferociousness emitting from him . He walked over and used his eye to signal the others to surround us . 
 Ethan suddenly discovered that we were surrounded and his face changed . "What are you doing ?". He asked with anger . 
 "Robbing you ". The leader said with a wide grin on his face .
