Jonathan just finished his bath when he stepped in the kitchen. The sun had already risen, sunlight peeking through the neat white blinds of the living room, the view outside was clear and pleasing to look at. Brewing himself a cup of hot coffee, Jonathan began to read the news from his tablet.
After a few minutes, he glanced at the time and stood up, heading to the guest room. Inside, a few random objects were placed everywhere. Quickly, Jonathan picked up the things scattered on the floor and arranged them all neatly and orderly. He then glanced at the bed. Stefani was still sleeping, completely unbothered by Jonathan's arrival and movements. 
Jonathan took his time to open the blinds by the window and went over Stefani. He gently touched Stefani's arm, "Stefani, wake up." 
Stefani's only response was 'nghn', and a frown, then she went back to sleep. 
Jonathan caressed the younger's face, gently massaging her eyebrows that had previously creased, then went down to her cheek. Stefani's face turned calm, almost serene, with Jonathan's touch, nuzzling on Jonathan's hand. 
Jonathan smiled. Quietly, he grabbed a book and began to read beside Stefani.
The sun continued to rise, the white blinds by the window fluttering as Stefani continued to sleep and Jonathan sat beside her. 
Without a word, time passed. It was already near lunch time when Stefani woke up. 
"Ah!!" She almost shouted as she opened her eyes. 
Jonathan, now sitting on a couch near the window in Stefani's room, glanced at her. An opened book was still in his hands. 
"What time is it?" Stefani asked as she got up, she didn't know when Jonathan came to the room. She must've been sleeping too deeply! 
"It's almost lunch time," Jonathan answered leisurely, placing the book on a table as he stood up. 
"What?! Why didn't you wake me up?" Stefani said, clearly unhappy as she immediately stood up. 
A few months have passed since Stefani officially started dating Jonathan. Although they weren't married yet, Stefani still insisted on staying with Jonathan, going to Jonathan's place almost every day. Some days she'd sleep over too, especially when Jonathan had little to no work to do. 
Jonathan sighed. He knew just how much Stefani loved going on dates with him every weekend. The younger always looked genuinely happy, always looking forward to their weekend dates even though she will never admit it, her face still shows. 
Today was actually planned to be a Saturdate in a water park, but then Stefani found some interesting movies last night. She ended up watching so many, enjoying her own movie marathon while Jonathan silently did some work beside her. 
"I did wake you up but you slept like a log. Anyway, let's eat first then we'll see if we can still make it to the park," Jonathan said in an unhurried manner. 
Stefani was still frowning, "Next time, you should use some force when you wake me up. Try speaking louder, okay? How am I supposed to wake up if you don't make some efforts!?" Somehow, this child ended up putting the blame on Jonathan again. 
Jonathan sighed as he listened to his fiancee nag all the way to the bathroom. As he had expected, their 'sweet peaceful' days were just about to end. 
When they first admitted their feelings to each other, Jonathan felt time was short and he didn't dare spoil any second he got with Stefani. With all the power and control he had, Jonathan tried to understand the younger more and more to avoid having arguments with her as he did in the past. He'd always tell himself, this time he wouldn't screw things up and properly take care of Stefani. Thus, he didn't dare oppose the younger these past months.
But a man can only endure so much. 
Truthfully, Jonathan felt snapping from time to time. Not to mention, with snapping came another set of emotions he harbored towards Stefani. One of which was his desire to claim this brat and punish her himself in unique ways. Could he dare do that though? Jonathan could only sigh and swallow down these kinds of emotions. 
He actually wanted to do more things with Stefani. More than those tiring arguments, he couldn't deny the fact that sometimes, or most of the time, Stefani was being adorable and Jonathan couldn't help but want to touch and hold her more.
He would often scold himself for being too greedy and impatient. This was Stefani, the person whom he took forever to be with. This person must never be taken for granted, never taken advantage of. She was Jonathan's most beloved person and she deserved all the respect Jonathan could offer to a person.
Therefore, Jonathan thought waiting for another year or two would be okay. 
The nagging Stefani continued until she reached the bathroom and did her own routines. Jonathan shook his head dismissively and just went to the kitchen to reheat the meals he just made earlier. 
After a while, Stefani came fresh from the bath. Jonathan placed an orange juice next to the meal he cooked for Stefani. 
With some water still dripping from her hair, Stefani sat on the high stool and began to eat while Jonathan began to dry her hair for her from behind. 
"I should've not watched too much last night," Stefani murmured, still mad at herself and Jonathan. "And you didn't even wake me up earlier. Tch..."
For Stefani, even if it was her fault only, she would not forget to drag Jonathan down with her. 
Jonathan, this ever so patient man, had been used to this kind of attitude of Stefani. Although he didn't like being blamed, he knew his lover enough to let her do what he wanted to avoid creating a bigger argument. 
Deep inside, Jonathan knew, although Stefani's mouth was full of sour things, her actions could tell people the opposite of what she actually meant. 
"We'll have about three to four hours when we get there," Jonathan reminded Stefani once they were in the car, on their way to the water park. 
"Okay, first I want to go to this lazy river here. Then next would be this floating log near it," Stefani replied, her eyes glued to the booklet from the water park. There weren't any smiles on her face but her eyes were visibly sparkling, showing the excitement she couldn't conceal at the moment.
Jonathan smiled at the sight and couldn't help but reach out to hold Stefani's hand, squeezing it affectionately as he continued driving with the other. 
Stefani obviously wasn't prepared for that one sudden touch and had her ears turning red in an instant. She coughed lightly and looked away but returned a slight squeeze on Jonathan's hand. 
The drive was silent but surprisingly it was comfortable enough for the two used-to-be-enemies pair. Although they weren't the type to use sugar coated words, their actions could express the deepest emotions they have for each other. 
Half an hour later they finally reached their destination. Jonathan made some arrangements to the nearby hotel and went to the water park with Stefani. 
The moment Stefani heard the two of them were to spend the night together in the hotel adjacent to the park, her brain instantly mushed and his face flushed red. 
It couldn't be that Jonathan would do something to her, right?
Stefani's heart was beating crazily at the thought. She would be fooling herself if she said she didn't want to do more things with Jonathan. But thinking of doing those things and actually doing them were two separate things. Besides, wouldn't doing this kind of thing be considered outright shameless since they were not married yet?
"What are you thinking?" Jonathan asked her despite already knowing what Stefani's expressions meant. 
Stefani almost jumped in fright, she cleared her throat, "J-Just to let you know w-we aren't married yet. So I'm warning you now. Don't do anything dirty!" 
Jonathan paused, for a second he didn't know whether to cry or laugh at Stefani's words. After a while, softly chuckling, he said, "I understand."
Then he grabbed Stefani's hand, leading her to the boat to the lazy river, making Stefani's face hot once again. 
It was getting harder and harder to deal with this monkey after all!
And for Jonathan, it was getting harder and harder to endure his lust.
