25 - No Reason At All
Upon arrival, I saw Rone was talking to the guard that was at the entrance of the master's office as they called. He was explaining the later content of my visit, but the guard didn't allow it resulting in a slight problem at hand.
"Like I said, the master did not allow anyone to enter, but Sir Rone," he repeated as he glared at me with such a ferocious stare. Rone told me that this man is a guard, and also one of the active agents that are doing sideline jobs.
Though, I respect him for doing his job right, I feel annoyed that he's looking at me with such glare. I don't like it, and I felt uncomfortable with it. Rone soon turned towards me, and he looked at me straight in the eye.
"I am sorry, my lady, it's hard to say that the master doesn't usually permit anyone to enter that is why he won't accept any guest even if they are wealthy, or they are royalty," he explained softly with me and I keep smiling to hide my discomfort and annoyance.
"Ah, if I ask," the guard beside raise his hand, while trying to ask my permission.
I nodded simple to respond in his request. Then he followed with a simple stare before he stood straight. "May I know your name? If you needed that audience badly, might the master be able to know who you are maybe, he will accept you inside."
My name, huh? There is a confidentiality in the contract, so I was wary and looked at Rone. "It's fine, any leakage of information is not famous in this place."
I responded with a simple nod to his reassurance. "Then," I paused and an evil idea came running through my brain. I smile stiffly and looked at the door that was seperating me from him. "My name is Catholy Roqueves."
Then I pouted as I put my hand on my chin. "I guess, I don't really need to meet the master," then I smile evily. "I shall take Rone on a date instead!" I excitedly said as I grabbed his hand, and I purposely adjusted the volume of my voice.
A second of silence, even Rone at that couldn't believe my bold statement but he didn't reject my bluff advances. What really startled us was the sudden noise coming from the room behind the guard, and a loud sound that was forced from the sudden opening of the door.
The man I expected to see, both with his hand against the door, his eyes pierce through us that the guard and Rone was left unguarded. He then pushed a stare back to me, as he scanned the hand that I was against with. I simple smile, showing my devoted villainess side that he has not seen.
How dare you left me like that!? I silently said with a smirk.
His lips tilted and changed to a smile. "Come here, Catholy," with a demanding voice, he force a word that made a shiver into my spine.
Rone looked at me. "My lady?" but then again, I couldn't response to Rone at all.
My words has left me! Damn, why is he still looking at me like that? It's like a word, how dare you choose another man!? It's demanouring, I thought it was fun teasing him too!
I slightly smiled and I silently looked away from him.
"Catholy," he whispers and the more I tightly hold on Rone's arm, the more his getting colder! I shiver and then I carefully let Rone go. Damn, this is not fair! No, his not fair at all!
I should run while I can, I mean, he won't do anything to me in the mansion, but things are different if I am in his own territory. I tried to turn around and walk away, I thought I can do it, but I was wrong.
When I turn around to run, it was already too late. He was in front of me, it was so quick I didn't have time to react. "Where do you think you're going?"
I give a stern look as I glare within his cold eyes. However, the fear I had felt have been changed with the irritation I felt before I came here. That is why, I looked at him with a chilly stare as well. "Why are you asking? Like I said, I am going on a date with Ron-"
I didn't get to finish my words when he held my shoulders as he pinned me on the wall, cornering me and avoiding me from leaving.
"He can go, by himself, but you will stay here and repent."
What!? What did he meant repent? This man!
"This is harassment! Master of the Information House!" Why am I the only one getting punished! Beside, what repent!? why am I getting that kind of punishment!
"Ahh!" I looked as he suddenly laughed. "No worries, I can silence everyone I want!"
His kidding right? "No, I am not kidding as well."
"Why am I repenting, anyways!?" I hastily asked him.
He silently looked at me and then he smile, while he slowly put his head closer to mine. "Should you guess?" he whispered before he touched my hand, and grabbed them slowly.
The guard, and Rone were looking at us that I forgot the people who saw this scene. Before, I can even dispel the misunderstanding on their faces, he pulled me closer as we walked inside his office. I watched Rone come inside as he awkwardly glanced at us, while the guard immediately closed the door.
With the door closed, I have no way to run now.
Must he be this possessive!?
I simply gave Kalester a glance before I pouted and looked down. When we arrived at his desk, he sat on the chair, and grabbed my hand, with enough force that forced me to fall and sit on his lap. That moment of my life, I gradually lost it, and the embarrassment overlapped me as I looked down.
"Rone," he mumbled towards the guy in front of us. I couldn't look, because I was still blushing at this position. I can't get it out, okay! My fiance has never done something like this, I feel so embarrassed right now.
"I understand," the man, Rone said. "I will not tell a word of this, and the guard as well."
"Good," said Kalester. "Do you know why I called you?"
"Yes," then he replied. "This must be the counterfeit on the palace, please not worry, master, I have taken care most of the leaked information in the palace. The twins as well reported that they taken care of the spies surrounding the opera house as well."
"I see, even the black market? Count Venile is getting worried, he thought we leaked his involvement with drugs," said Kalester while Rone give away a short sighs.
"Lion has taken care of that, he said that the Count was having an issue with Baron Mistefe, they had already asked the Underground Master regardless of this issue," said Rone while I remained silent.
I am not sure on what they are talking about, but I was aware of the names Rone mentioned. Count Venile, and Baron Mistefe are both enemies before I regressed. I don't usually hear rumors because of what the emperor did, but I have heard from the ladies about this issues that is surrounding with the Baron and the Count.
Are they not enemies now?
"That scoundrel," he then paused, making me confused. "Are you bored?"
I tilted my head and looked up. Still with the pout on my face, I looked away. "Can I get off now?"
"Not until you tell me why you are repenting," he replied.
This is childish! But fine, since I don't want to seat on his lap the entire conversation. "I dearly apologize."
"Hmm, and what is this apology for?" he asked.
"I shouldn't invite another man on a date, and grab his hand," I said in a soft voice.
"I already have the Second Prince to think about, now you are getting involved with another one," he said as his tone became harder and yet calmer.
"This is your fault," I whispered and looked down.
"What now?" he asked but I remained still. "Ahh fine, it's my fault, that is why please stop sulking already, and don't do that again."
I can't believe him, but anyways, this is not something I came here for... However, seeing as they are busy, I suppose I can wait a little longer. Anyhow, I'll go sit down, but when my body was about to move and stand up, I fell once again, forcing me to stay down.
"Who told you to stand up?" I gave it a long look before I glare at him with confusion.
"I thought I could go if I told you what I did," I said and then he just laughed.
"You're still in a punishment," he stated and my body went numb.
What!???????

The unexpected report took longer than Kalester anticipated, that even Rone has to give all of the documents to his reports regardless of the recent issues they are currently facing. Though, Catholy had snacks and drinks during the discussion, she was not able to keep up because she was not aware of the topic they are discussing, resulting to her boredom and the lack of movement because of Kalester's tight demand.
In the end, she took a nap, which forced her to sleep on Kalester's chest. When Rone was watching the scene in front, he couldn't help but to wonder. His master was always private with his life, and he was never interested with someone of the opposite gender before, so he was not sure how to respond in this situation his forced to adjust.
The end of his mouth was about to form, but he decided not to pry. He is a mere Informant after all, and he signed confidentiality when he decided to work for his master. Not a single information about his master shall be said, outside or even inside the parameter. He signed a contract, and even if he runs away, his master have all the means to find him.
His master is not an ordinary man.
"Your thoughts are overlapping, agent," he tilted his head as he slightly looked at the sleeping girl on his master's lap.
"I am just not sure, master. I have signed a contract, but I still don't think I can keep it still," he honestly said as he carefully looked down.
"I see, I do not see the intent of keeping it silent, but since you are chosen by Catholy, I will enlighten you to think what you want," said Kalester as he carefully shifted.
"Master, I—"
"Have you not thought of returning home, Your highness Heather?" Kalester mumbled.
Rone's body stiffened, as he shifted a look at the man in front of him. He was not sure how he knew about it, but one thing was clear, it has been awhile since someone addressed him with his noble title. Since the day he left home, and never went back. He is indeed a lord, and a prince of a foreign kingdom, Prince Heather Zakaria.
"I—how?" he asked.
"I have my ways," he replied and he looked down. "I heard, your brother's coronation is coming smoothly. We even receive invitations for the upcoming festival of your kingdom, though I find it offensive since we don't even know each other."
That's right, the kingdom of Zakaria, ruled by a desert Emir, who voyage in the sand of a baren land and manage a country that is located at the heart of the desert. Though the Kingdom of Zakaria is nothing but a small kingdom, they are made with a significant amount that can surpass even the Albania Empire.
Rone was a runaway a child, who did not want to become part of the said kingdom. He is after all the third prince, son of a third concubine in the harem. As a third son, he was still qualified to become a successor along the crown prince, but due to the unexpected death of his mother. Rone left his home, and give up his right to succeed. He went to the empire by accident, and become an agent when Kalester found him.
During that time, he had nothing but a broken name. Without gaining something, Kalester took him in and trained him. That time was probably months ago, and he adjusted to this life as a commoner. "Why are you telling me this?"
"I'll be sending you there soon, after your contract with her is done," he announced.
"What?" He shockingly asked. "Why?"Download Novelah App
