Bella certainly not happy about Jake going with her. The man was like a cold statue without emotions.
He stared at her like wanted to eat her whole.
Bella turned to Jake who had his focus on his phone and said " I will be ready by 9:00pm , is it ok by you?" 
" yes" his answer was brief.

Jake looked at his wristwatch again. It was 8;40pm, was she was planning on going to the party late?
Women just like going late to events.

The sound of a heel made him turn . The sight was beyond words he could describe, her bright golden hair flowed down her back. The make over was on point. 
Damn! This woman would be the end of him. 
gosh! Her boobs were a little visible which made her look modest and seductive too.
" I'm so sorry for keeping you waiting" Her voice pulled him out of his trance.
" Well, it's a lady's habit to keep men waiting. I guess I'm at the receiving side today of that today" Jake said and shrugged.
" I'm sorry once again" Bella apologized again and entered the car. She saw the expensive car that they were going to ride to the event, she knew that she could not convince Jake to be low profiled no matter what.
They both drove in silence to the venue. It was a huge hotel and the suites there were top class.
Immediately Jake came out of the car, he grabbed the attention of people outside. He was 1.88meters and had an intimidating aura around him. His looks, clothes and figure were among the best in men.
If her friends found out that she was here with Jake and they even came together, they would all go crazy especially the ladies who would ask for his contact at any cost.
Any woman would like to be associated with him. He is Rich, Handsome and has a great physique.
She for some reasons didn't like men like him because they always had women surrounding them and they were too influencial and powerful for her liking.
Just like Jake, one of the bodyguard opened the door for her. She stepped down and faced the hotel.
She brought out her phone and wanted to call Prince that she was already here but Jake stopped her.
She looked puzzled and wanted to say something when he interrupted her " One of the bodyguard will follow you there, he knows where the party is taking place" 
She sighed and nodded.
" by then, see you later" She said and walked away with the guard following steadyly . Jake entered few minutes later after feasting hos eyes on her body as she entered the place.
He was also there to meet with his friends, there was no way he was telling them that he was soon going to be married. The stories would never end.
Bella followed the guard's instructions and soon she saw Prince on his way to the door.
He was surprised to see her since he was just about to call her and ask if she would be able to make it to his party.
They greeted each other and Prince led her to the lodge where the party was taking place .
Prince saw the guard following her but surprisingly did not ask anything.
Other colleagues were already there as well making the place look lively. The bodyguard just stood at a corner of the lodge not disturbing her but making sure that she was within his sight.
Bella was relieved nobody noticed that the guard was with her or else she would have had a nerve breakdown.
The Party was going very smoothly until she saw that son of a bitch enter the lodge. Why the hell was he here? ohh
Henry and Prince were friends so it was only normal that he invited Henry to the occasion.
She could not stand the sight of him around her so she stood up and said her goodbyes to Henry before leaving.
Just as she walked close to the door to leave, she and Henry's eyes met. She ignored him and and walked out of the lodge. Jake's bodyguard followed her behind.
" Bella" 
She paused before she continued to walk away.
"Bella, please wait"
She was tired of him yelling her her name without caring the attention he was gathering a d the stares she got from people since they knew he was calling after her.
She stopped and waited. He came forward panting obviously because she pursued her all the way here.
"Good day Sir, how can I help you ?" She was not the same Bella that she was three years ago.
She was never going to let him see her as the easy going woman whom he had cheated on years ago. She was a new Bella and that was not going to change even if he begged her .
Never again was she going to date a pathetic man like him .
"Come on Bella, we are not strangers to each other " Henry was pained by her words which was reminding him that she was no longer his.
Truly, she was no longer the same. She now looked more mature and beautiful. She looked like an elegant beauty who made men bow. He saw how her male colleagues looked at her while she was in the lodge.
" Mr Lan, I'm only stating fact" Bella said and smiled softly. Her smile made Henry regret his actions the more. But there was surely something he could do to have her forgive him.
" Even if we can't be best of friends at least let's not be enemies" Henry said trying to curry her.
Bella scoffed . Did Henry take her for a fool? The bastard was testing her water, to see if she was still the same. She could boldly say that she was now above his standards.
"There is no need for us to be friends at all. I have to go" Bella said and was about to leave when Henry held her hand.
