Chapter 21: The Fearless Move
"You got dispatched."
Those words spiraled in the air, zeroed on and hit him without any armors at length. Heeseung felt his chest burst from the intensity of the disclosure. He begins to understand now the terror it gives the artist hearing that one ruthless sentence. It could ruin a life and sanity at the same time.
"But with Choi Aerin?! What the fuck, Hee?!"
Heeseung can absolutely understand the madness, he mislead Yuki, but questioniong Aerin is something he cannot tolerate. He stood up fast, face inches away from Yuki and received that eranged stare.
"What about Aerin, huh? You don't know her or anything that's happening between the two of us. Don't even try to smash her in smithereens because of your false impressions, especially in front of me."
Heeseung said it in a low murmur but the threat is beyond measure. Hong Yuki might be taller than him by inches apart but Heeseung felt even. Nobody can directly scorn Aerin, just no one, he won't let it happen.
"Hee, chill." Jay tried to pacify as the other members was gripped in surprise by the brewing conflict.
"Just to remind you again, young man, Choi Aerin did you dirty. Why did you jump into another mess with her?!"
"I just told you, too. You don't know her and the real story behind the previous mess. You don't know anything so shut the fuck up." Heeseung's riveting stare is in accordance to Yuki's gritting teeth.
The fiery discussion lead everything to go out of balance. Yuki is obviously raging but Heeseung is beating him with his clear-cut stand. The Enhypen's manager weakly succumb to his surprising loss to a headstrong member. He pulled away and dragged his trembling body in anger against the wall.
"What are you doing, Hee?! You're intentionally ruining your career and the group's strong position! You're putting all your hardwork for nothing!'
"And for the rest of you--" Yuki faced the others and snaps again. "Damn it! You know all along it was Choi Aerin! You made a fool out of me!"
Yuki, in an obvious manner, is disgruntled by latest occurrence as he paced back and forth in the tiny room, head's about to blow up and fly into a rage.
"We never thought it will go worse than this. Don't blame, Heeseung Hyung, he is in love. It's a deep emotion, Yuki, something we cannot control. We thought you're the first one who'll understand that. I admit, this is my fault. I should've stopped him from getting into another trouble. I'm terribly sorry, Yuki." Jungwon was fast to take the fall.
"Won, no! Stop it, please! You're always taking the blame. This has nothing to do with all of you. I was just knocked off and couldn't help it." Heeseung was also fast to dispute.
The blunt, unexpected, conflict of admissions is the stretch to finally lose his thread. Yuki fell on his feet, head's shaking rapidly, he can't process the real deal.
"God damn it---" Yuki angrily muttered.
An awkward silence capped the room in. The unpleasant nature of such silences is associated with feelings of anxiousness everyone felt. They all the feel pressure to speak but are unsure of what to say next.
"Aerin is such a sweet girl, Yuki." Sunoo finally breaks in, holding a sob.
"She is. You just got the wrong impression." Jake helped out.
"Don't be too hard on her, Yuki." Ni-Ki pleads.
"And to Heeseung Hyung. We're still family." Sunghoon was the last to beg.
Yuki shook his head, not for disagreement or a room for understanding, but he had enough of all the mishap. He faced Heeseung as he continues.
"Someone recognized you and took a photograph of you and Choi Aerin together in a late night stop of your out of the city adventure."
"B-But that was outside of the city already?"
Yuki scoffed, controlled his mouth to not spite. "Why do you think they're only in the city? Shutterbugs are not only in Seoul, they are everywhere, even in places where you least expects it. I still could'nt believe you've thrown yourself into a sea full of greedy sharks that easy. I thought you know better, Hee."
In the midst of Yuki's explosive dismay, Heeseung couldn't help not to feel blameworthy. He's sorry, yes, but he's not sorry for loving Choi Aerin.
"I'm sorry for causing another trouble." he begins to hush in the most regretful plead. "But being with Aerin gives me the comfort and solace I cannot find anywhere. Being on stage is not the kind of peace that I want. It's a burden-- and it's taking me down. At the end of the day, with her, I realized, I'm still human, Yuki. I fell in love. Why are you sounding like it's a crime to feel such a real emotion?" Heeseung choked feeling a slow burn, a rip that's about to break lose.
Heeseung stopped a single tear to grow deep in his eyes. The risk of being famous is dragging him down, in the most ruthless way. His mistake is now magnified and nothing of his private life remains private anymore.
"Love? I don't want to rain in your parade but there's no room for love here, not just for you, Hee, but for all you. You're all artists, a public's property. Love? I maybe ruthless to say this but, it's not for you. Love the fans, it will take you to pedestal. Love a girl, pack your bags and forget your dreams."
The reality hits them hard, strike's forceful they couldn't move a single limb. They're idols, where loving is a considered a crime, for they are presented as ideal boyfriends to the worldwide audience.
Heeseung knows it, abide to it, but suddenly, his life made a major reversal, he couldn't agree to Yuki's stand anymore.
"Bang PD-nim wants to have a private talk with you. Temporarily, he halted Dispatch to bring forth the scandal."
After stating those words, Yuki was fast enough to move out, leaving the seven men rocked hard in a cruel truth. Being famous is not all that great. It comes with a price and it's heavy, it could wreck havoc even on the strongest artist.

"L-LA?"
Aerin was lost for merely a minute before breaking the question out. Not got a fully understanding of the whole context but her brain goes to a quick protest to something that's about to come and she's about to learn.
"It's either to fire you or take you somewhere out of the picture. Hybe wants you to disappear, Ms. Choi. Away from this country and out of Lee Heeseung's life."
There it goes, the veracity she always knew coming. Hearing it creates a wide spread burn, like she was set on fire to disappear perpetually.
"I couldn't believe you created another drama, more scandalous than your last jumble. Dating Lee Heeseung, who you wrecked so bad and now you got dispatched together? Really, Ms. Choi? How ridiculous could you ever get?"
The disappointment on Ms. Kim's tone is gruff, sending impairments to every parts of her body to freeze in inexplicable fear. Aerin was right for the hunch all along. The sweet escape has it's cost but never did she thought it will be so soon and demand a higher price.
"Just fire me, Ms. Kim. I'm sorry for all the troubles I caused you and this company."
Hearing her own words, Aerin was put into another wave of heartbreak. Thinking about leaving the county to run away for Heeseung is so downright upsetting. Aerin holds her stance, preventing any moist to cover her eyes.
"For me, that would be fair enough. Hybe has a zero-tolerance policy toward dating their artists, much more to someone who attempted to detroy their talent's name. Bang PD wanted you out of the country for some time until the situation is controlled. They got problems on settlement with Dispatch. These nosy idiots wanted the scandal out and requesting a huge amount defrauding Bang PD. Hybe said they won't settle. The easiest way for them to face the issue is to get you out of the picture. The moment Dispatch drop the bomb, you are nowhere to find in South Korea, and Lee Heeseung will deny all the claims."
Ms. Kim's declaration didn't come as a surprising fact, Aerin is already expecting the heart wrenching resolution. She leveled her stiff body to escape the agonizing casts of words that tearing her apart. Ms. Kim ceased her feet before she could take a step out.
"I'll transfer you to Starlight's sub office in LA. You'll cover sports news there, like you used to do. That's the most I can do."
She had enough and already heard enough. The longer she holds it, the splurge of emotion is bringing havoc waking up her tears. She stormed out of Ms. Kim's office, fast enough to escape the judging eyes of her co workers on her way out. Hyeon Jiah is chasing her, Aerin knows she wanted to give her comfort but she needs no one. No other one but only Lee Heeseung.

That part of the city is not a safe place for another rendezvous. It's past midnight and Aerin is patiently waiting, beating the cold behind her thin coat. Her thoughts are spiraling, she cannot think straight. Seems like she was caught in reverse, so lost at what to do.
The sound of the halting vehicle creates a sudden solace and seeing the rushing Lee Heeseung comes her way and how fast he is to give the embrace she needs, Aerin was comforted that easy.
"Are you okay?" Heeseung asked quickly while cupping her face, his worries are profound.
She slowly nods eventhough the feeling is dragging her down. Aerin stared back to Heeseung's worried eyes and was shattered to see the disturbance he's trying to hide.
"Did you sneak out again?" Aerin couldn't hold the worry.
"Come with me." Heeseung replied instead gently dragged her out of the place. Now that he is once again in the hot seat, paparazzi could be lurking anywhere wanting another exclusive.
"Hey, Aerin." Jay greeted her the moment she jumped inside the car.
"Jay's going to take us to his private place. We need to talk somewhere safe."
Jumping inside the car gave her a bizarre feeling, something she cannot expound. Jay gave her a slight smile, uncommon, something she's not used to see. Aerin couldn't look straight in Jay's gaze, she was so shameful for all the troubles she had caused.
Reaching the place, Jay got off first to check the house. He got back and throws the bunch of keys into Heeseung's hand.
"You're all set. Nobody knows this place except me. Even my own Appa is unaware of this place " Jay coldly laughs.
"Thanks, Jay. I am so sorry for doing this but--"
"Nah. Who are we to stop you? It is what it is and we clearly understand. Take care, bro. You're the best hyung we've ever got, no one could replace you, like, no one."
Jay's tone of pronouncement is croaking and kinda odd. He gave Heeseung a hug, tight enough like strained to their bones. He faced Aerin and she was appalled seeing blubbery eyes.
"Jay--"
"I got allergies." Jay sniffed and was fast to defend. "You take care too, Aerin. I better keep going. I'll just leave your suitcases outside the door, Hee."
How fast Jay did all the work and finally was gone. And it wasn't long enough that Aerin finally got back to her senses and realized, they are facing a dilemma. She is in a quandary on what to think next.
"Hee--? W-What's going on?"
Her tears fell, slow moving, unceasingly. Aerin is losing control and in an event of a breakdown. Heeseung held her tight to ease the emotions going out of hand.
"I cannot tell sooner because I know you'll stop me." Heeseung hushed, like her, he's also in a verge of seizing up.
In his eyes lays the answer to the questions she cannot ask. Never did Aerin ever imagined Heeseung would make such a bold, thoughtless, fearless move.
"I'm leaving Enhypen." Heeseung's voice cracked by the weight of his own utterance. "I'm leaving Enhypen because I chose you."
