Chapter 28: You
The house was welcoming from the open door to the small, decent living room. It was a quiet place, somewhere he haven't been before. Sitting right next to Aerin, Heeseung was curious but stayed silent the whole time, just holding her hand tight the entire time.
A middle aged lady suddenly surfaced into their sight, making Heeseung eyed grew wide in surprise. He stood up after getting his guess right.
"H-Hi. It's nice to finally meet you, Eomonni--"
Aerin prods him softly. Heeseung stopped and buckled up.
"I-I mean, Mrs. Choi." he softly chuckled.
"Who's this one hell of a fine man are you with, Aerin?" Mrs. Choi was knocked senseless by the Heeseung's unbelievable appearance.
Heeseung smirked by the accolade but the woman's voice is so autonomous, much to her interrogative stare, making him a little jittery.
"I-I'm Lee Heeseung. Your daughter's--"
"He's my boyfriend, Omma." Aerin cuts fast.
Mrs. Choi was still stalled, eyes went unsure where to look, if it's on Lee Heeseung's attractive, shy face or her daughter's unexpressive, cold-blooded stare.
"W-Why, Aerin, are you kidding me?! Your boyfriend is--" Mrs. Choi looked at Heeseung once more, so eager to check him out. "Hot like hell! What the hell?! Is he from LA, too?!"
Heeseung finds it hard to control another smirtle. He inconspicuously scratch his head to cover his smugly smile.
"No, he's not. Omma. Can you just be a little reticent, please." Aerin couldn't hide the embarassment.
Her mother is the most impossible woman she's ever known, maybe because of the trauma, Mrs. Choi's methods of dealing with past agonies comes in a little bit inept. She's straight forward and acting a bit inappropriate but Aerin was pleased to see she's taking care of the house, without any trace of another headache around.
"Ugh, why didn't you tell me beforehand you're bringing your boyfriend, you slapstick! You want something? Water? Soda?" Mrs. Choi goes a little bit pertubed.
"Omma--" Aerin stopped her from clanking. "It's okay. I just came here to check on you and--" Aerin clicked her tongue seeing her mother getting swayed by Lee Heeseung's stance. "Can you please look at me?" she impatiently muttered.
Mrs. Choi pulled her sight away from Lee Heeseung's face and chuckled. "Sorry. It's not everyday I'll be able to see a captivating man, you know."
"I came here to inform you, I'm staying here for good. I went back to my previous company and this house is yours to keep. Just don't do anything stupid again, please."
Her constant pleading shows that her mother is not always listening. Aerin pulled something out of her pocket making Mrs. Choi paralyzed on her feet.
"W-Why are you giving me such a huge amount of money, Aerin-a?" she didn't blink while staring at the check.
"Take it." Aerin pulled her hand to let her accept it. "That's yours to keep too. Treat yourself, buy the things you want but don't take another man inside this house or I'll revoke everything I gave you. Do you understand?"
Aerin sounded provocative and her mother was left speechless and just nods in agreement. Heeseung softly chuckled watching an entertaining yet lighthearted scene. How he admired Aerin more for still choosing to be a good daughter despite the parental shortcomings.
Finally settled inside the car, Aerin breathes out at last. Her relationship with her mother which she thought she cannot fix anymore goes to a surprising twist, the peace it brought is immense, she felt absolutely complete.
They took a ride, without any idea where to go. They have found a spot, away from every one's judging eyes. The wind was chill, and the stars burned with the brilliant sapphire whiteness of sparkling light. They laid in the hood of his car, under the stars, which were like a beautiful, surreal blanket above their heads.
Heeseung let her wears his coat, with his scent still on it and wrapped her tightly in his warm embrace. It was a silent but magical night, the best night of her life, seemingly. She was there, with the person who brings her life and love and all she could feel was happiness she never thought she's capable of having.
Aerin glanced at Heeseung as he gazed up at the night sky. How unbelievable everything is happening. He was an enemy once, he is a lover now. His eyes glitters like a stars from up above, it shines like a glowing light bulb, bringing light to her pitch black world.
Aerin knows she looked funny, simping over her own boyfriend but she cannot stop staring. Heeseung is so perfect and she was in disbelief.
"Am I melting already?" Heeseung asked, catching her eyes.
Aerin jolts and about to pull away. Heeseung was fast to draw her in and cuddled more.
"You did a good job patching things up with your Omma." Heeseung hushed softly in her ears, making soft kisses on her hair, as she lays immobile in his arms.
Aerin scoffed and chuckled, buried her face in his folded arms. "She's the only family I've got. I can't let her endure her agonies alone. And that check came from the stylist. I can't believe wearing a Pikachu costume would to give me that huge amount of money!" she laughed her heart out.
Heeseung chest wavered with the laugh. He can still clearly remember that day - that day when he realized he is falling in love and still do, all with the same woman.
Whatever Aerin do, be it funny or whatever she thinks she looked ridiculous and all, still her beauty never fails to captivate, blowing his mind everytime they are together.
"Your Eommoni is cool though, and kinda cute." he jests.
Aerin covered up once more, face flushed with uneasiness thinking about her mother's cheap, drossy behavior. She couldn't looked at Heeseung with a reddish face.
"Aaah! That's really embarassing. I don't mean to make you uncomfortable. My mother is really something. She says stupid things even before it hit her head. Sorry, I cannot disclose your job, she will absolutely flip out."
"I understand. But I can't believe she called me hot and you cannot?" Heeseung's smiled from ear to ear.
"D-Do I really need to say it? You know you are."
"See? You cannot say it." Heeseung pulled out a chaff.
Aerin's shoulders shrugged with the giggles and Heeseung still haven't figured out how he laid there, face to face, and not be madly in love with everything she do. She's tightly wrapped in his arms, skin to skin, hands intertwined, coming round from the days they are away from each other but still can't get enough.
"It's your turn to visit mine next week." Heeseung suddenly blurted that put Aerin into a pause.
"I- I'm getting cold feet, Hee. What if--"
"They're going to love you, believe me. In fact, my Omma cannot wait to meet you already."
"You're just saying that to put me up. I know they're still thinking about what I did to you before."
"Babe, stop it." Heeseung put her into hush. "It's going to be okay. Trust me on this."
Aerin stiffened feeling the light touches Heeseung is making on her skin, gliding his hands up to slowly touch her face.
"What are you doing?" she asked, riding the sling off.
"I missed you so much--" he whispered in between gasps, mouth opens and ready to devour her parting lips.
The moon and the stars are the most divine in all light but to him, she is the most divine in his sight. Aerin looks so angelic under the starry night and in the heat of the moment, Heeseung wigged out, getting deeply moonstruck.
"Hee, not in here---'
But she was silenced by his burning, truly expected kiss. So instantly, Aerin was traveled up into the clouds. The way Heeseung strokes his lips against hers is so unbelievable, she rose into the air, setting off the trance. How she quickly forget things around her - that they're in the middle of nowhere, in the side of the road and might get caught - is beyond belief. She's faltering, loosing her strings in Lee Heeseung's gobsmacking kiss.
He's kissing her fervidlly and losing control. His kisses are going intense, lips are now running down her neck, tasting and smelling her scent. Aerin has the most lovely and graceful smell - evokes the scent of flowers, with sweet and delicate notes. He felt like being lifted, defying gravity, by just smelling her and kissing her delicious mouth. How he wanted to stop time and stay in that stance forever. He's so intoxicated, getting more and more into her.
"B-Babe--" Aerin is fighting the grips not to fall in a deep trance.
Heeseung never felt such a good sensation. In the moment of the kiss he was in his most vulnerable self. Their body chemistry becomes an ever-bright flame. Damn it, how can he stop?
"Hmmm?" he was in dazed and wishing Aerin will say the right words to put him into a stop.
"Let's get out of here before a roving patrol comes or a paparazzi nearby. I don't want to sleep in jail or be in the headline the next morning--" Aerin uttered after a tiny bit their lips parted, gulping for breath.
"Y-Yeah--" Heeseung heave a sigh, calming his pounding heart and his burning skin. "Good idea." he feverishly uttered, pats kisses on her forehead before pulling away.
They made another physical milestone and the feeling is exhilarating. Back inside the car, their hands still enfolds as they lower their body heats down. Aerin face is still in rich color just as Heeseung's cheeks turned surprisingly scarlet.
"Those stars are beautiful, aren't they?" Heeseung asked after quite a while, killing the silent air.
Aerin nodded fast, couldn't agree more. The stars beauty above the night sky is so unique no words can ever describe. She would call them beautiful, but even that wouldn’t do justice. Stars are just shiny silvery dots in the sky but why are they so looking so pretty? It's a mystery and will forever remain as it is.
"But do you know what is more beautiful than those divine creations?" he asked again.
She glanced at him as he gazed back to the night sky.
"What is it?"
Aerin's gaze turned to meet his loving eyes. He looked at her, eyes sparked nothing but love. Heeseung smiled before he hushed his words to only her.
"You."
Caught by surprise and with all her defenses down, Aerin replied with a quick but more intense kiss thus far. A kind of kiss so passionate making up for the days they are supposed to be kissing each other.
And in such a magical way that words cannot even describe, they found themselves falling in love all over again. They fell in love with the broken bits and the fragments that had healed.
They fell in love all over again - constant, boundless, never ending, like all the shooting stars from up above.
