Chapter 29: Happily Ever After

The modern house looks greater on the inside, perfectly maintained with photographs adorning the walls, each of them stirring the emotions of those sweet, eternal moments. Aerin got a glimpse of Heeseung's pictures, maybe around three years old. Those chubby cheeks is enough to call him adorably cute. She softly chuckled while eagerly looking at it. Childhood picture is really a great time machine.
"Was that amusement or a compliment?" Heeseung asked, enveloping his arms onto Aerin's waist.
"Both." she answered, giggling. "You look so cute in here."
Heeseung has the manner of speaking in pouts and Aerin was amazed to see that his cutest habit began to develop in his childhood days. Every photograph of Heeseung she sees, it's either he's doing a pout, pursing his lips, or pulling a face - so adorable she couldn't help to get smitten with the cheeky little tyke.
"This one's my favorite." Aerin points to a specific picture.
"Ah." Heeseung chuckled, rests his face on her shoulder. "I can still clearly remember that. That was the time when Heedo Hyung took away my toy microphone. I was so mad. He can take any toy he wants but not that mic." he chuckled with the reminisce.
"It's really your fate to be a performer." Aerin muttered in disbelief.
"You know what? Back then, it never crossed my mind, like, ever."
"Dinner's ready!"
That quick call made Aerin stumped, feet's glued to the floor. They released themselves from the clasp and her heart pounds in immediate fear, the tensity drew upon her nerves.
"It's okay. They are all so eager to meet you." Heeseung calmed her down after seeing the hesitation in her eyes.
Through the house's wide windows welcomed the passage of the light so bright, the dining room was alive with the vibrant tinge of luminous lightings. It carried a happy vibe enticed with the aroma of something sumptuous lingering around the air.
Everyone was already settled on the six seater mahogany carved dining table and Aerin was skeptical to even sit. Heeseung's parents are all smiles while purposely looking at her. Aerin's anxiousness doubled that easy.
"A-Anyeong. It's so nice to finally meet you, Mr. and Mrs. Lee--"
"Choi Aerin--" Mr. Lee wide smile gives an impression of something that fascinates. "I can now see why Heeseung risked his career just to be with you." he chuckled.
"Why, yeobo! That was inappropriate. We already talked about this, right?" Mrs. Lee came fast to be save her from discomfort. "This is our first time to meet your son's girlfriend. Get your act together." she stressfully whispered.
"What did I do? Isn't that a compliment?" Mr. Lee was lost for a moment.
Mrs. Lee shook her head for her husband's reply. Heeseung's mother stood up fast and gave her a short but doubtless and welcoming embrace. In that short span of time, Aerin felt she was wanted and gladly received, her heart's full it could go a full throttle.
"Hi, Aerin. It's so nice to finally meet you. Hee's right, you are so beautiful." Mrs. Lee gave her a hug, tight and without judgement.
"I brought you something. Heeseung said you Iike sweet stuffs, so--"
Mrs. Lee drew a gasp as her eyes grew seemingly wide. "Oh! That's so sweet of you!" she exclaimed and takes the stuff out of her hands. "Come on, sit. It's not everyday I've got another girl here in the house. I'm packed with messy, noisy human beings like, everyday! You know what? I like you. I think we're going to get along really well."
Aerin glanced at Heeseung. He's grinning like a Cheshire cat, then proceeds to give her a wink, like telling her he knew it will happen. Heeseung eventually proved himself right.
They say, if the dining room isn't a place of fun, you aren't doing it right. Aerin never felt so whole-souled. Mrs. Lee is a great cook. Mr. Lee is a jokesmith. While Lee Heedo, Heeseung's older brother, is the silent type but occasionally comic. They all dined happily, laughed their heart out, made merriment - that was the deal. Aerin couldn't ask for anything more.
Taking the way back to the city, Heeseung cleaved in Aerin's hand. Her hands were baby soft yet with them, she moved hearts, she moved him. He have held so many hands, he had to, that's part or work, but holding Aerin's hand never felt so magical, like a lost piece of a puzzle making him complete.
"Thank you." he hushed, kissing her hand.
"For what?" she was confused for a second.
"For existing. For everything. I just couldn't imagine my life without you now. I couldn't put into words how much I love you, Choi Aerin."
She was stunned, always hypnotized. Those words are such a heart ripper, as if hearing it wasn't quite enough. In that moment of holding him so close she was awake somehow, more alive than she have been in so very long. Unbelievably real, but by just holding his hand, her storms quell, she have peace, she is home.
"T-Thank you." Aerin never thought she'd sound so ridiculous.
"For what?" Heeseung chuckled, pulling out a jest.
In a way, Aerin don't want to sound sleazy, still stunned, she gave her response.
"For loving me both times, despite the false impressions, when things are good and much more when the things are bad. For accepting my flaws, forgiving my mistakes. Loving you then is so much different than loving you now. I can't live without you, Hee--"
His grip on the wheel suddenly became harder. Never did someone hit him hard with words. It's something that only Aerin do. He puts the car in an accelerated speed, so in a hurry to reach a place of privacy.
"I'm thinking--" Heeseung started, face covered with a sly grin. "Can I spend the rest of the night in your place, babe?"
Aerin almost choke out. No way Lee Heeseung is thinking about taking the next step. It may sounds cool and tempting but the fear is vast, Aerin swallowed hard before giving her answers out.
"Don't you have rehearsals tomorrow?" she tried to sound casual despite her heart's racing in circles.
"No. My schedule is clear until tomorrow." Heeseung answered, eagerness in his voice.
Aerin stuffed down again. She's getting a bit strung out. How the hell is she sweating hot when there's coldness everywhere?
"Or.. maybe not. I'm sorry, I don't mean to make such a complicated request--"
"Yes! Of course, you can. We can spend the night together--" Aerin was surprised with her sudden twist.
It might be her alter ego getting the right hand, putting her dominant identity no longer in the picture. She saw Heeseung beamed a smile - something that can light up the whole town. They don't generally do a thing in a spur of a moment. It comes as might be a bolt from the blue but since they love each other so much, jumping off the cliff is quite expected. It's not something that comes out of their crazy heads, it's a need, a body rush they cannot control.
She never thought she'll be out of breath after closing her door. Aerin saw Heeseung took off his scarf, she gulped hard.
"Can I use your sounds?" he asked.
Aerin nodded. Sounds are great stress relievers and it's a smart idea to put some vibe on. But then, his all time favorite artist, The Weeknd's, "Die For You", suddenly emerged, covering the whole house with it's romantic exploration.
Ah, fuck it.
Without a word, Heeseung locked her tight in his arms. Aerin closed her eyes the minute his warmth touches her skin. It's a hug of gentle arms that still gives her space to breathe. It felt like the comforts of duvets and the powers of a human shield. His hug is stronger than any great things that ever exist.
"A-Are you hungry?" she asked, quite surprised for the stutter. "But I have nothing here, only ramen. I still need to go get some groceries.'
"Ramen sounds good." Heeseung fastly agreed.
What comes after ramen is so spicy enough to even think. She ran fast to the kitchen to almost dropping the kitchenwares. She never thought getting laid with someone you dearly love is going to be a floor stagger.
"Easy there." Heeseung muttered from behind.
"These-- These pots are little bit slippery--"
Blaming it to the pots is quite absurd. Nothing is slipping but her heart that's continuously flipping. She saw Heeseung replied with a playful grin. He looked so marvelous she could've falter in his arms any minute. Aerin gripped the handle tight as he stepped forward to hold her near.
"Let me do it." he whispered, soothing her nerves away.
In that split second before he touched her smallest skin, Aerin remained stoic as she held her breath. It's the anticipation of being together in a way that's more than words, in a way that's so completely tangible. Their eyes met, and the urge to kiss once more is unruly, totally rebellious.
"You know what?" each word, Heeseung gasp for breath. "Fuck it, forget about ramen." he pulled her near to kiss her finally.
The moment those blistering-hot lips met hers, Aerin lost it again. She was swamped by the delicious scent, the taste and the feel of his playful mouth. The way Heeseung muttered her name in between each breath while continuously giving her little brushes of tenderness, is enough for Aerin to bare her barriers down.
For every intense pressure as he deepened the kiss, Aerin's fingers are threading into Heeseung's hair. Electricity zipped through her body, warming her straight to the ample bosom.
Heeseung lifted her hands above her head, pinning her arms to the wall, kisses goes more intense, the one that comes with total dominance. He cannot feel a slightest resistance, Aerin is receiving his kisses and ready for more. She is hot like blazing fire and he is burning with great desire. They don't care, so damn ready to risk it all.
She moaned softly at the warmth of his mouth, the feel of his breath catching. His strong palms slide slowly, unzipping the back of her dress, as they sink further into the deep kiss.
How are they getting intimate and doing it naturally is still a puzzle. Their hearts pounds in a synchronous beat only them could hear. Heeseung lift her up, laid her in the softness of the couch. Her overcoats were thrown everywhere just as his shirt was already out, revealing his well defined abs.
"Hee--" she finds her voice at last, said his name that sounds like begging.
"Yes, baby?" he whispered, head's leaning towards her face as he kneels to catch her gaze.
Her mind may be a little fuzzy but that break in his voice tells her he more than enjoyed it. That he wants her just as badly as she want him. At the back of her mind they are doing a mistake but that bodily pleasure is too hard to control. She's so fuckin' ready to do the deed.
"Do you want me to stop?" he asked. "If yes, say it now."
How is she able to do it when she's already in the depth of a deep reverie? Heeseung's intimate drive has the kind of power that scorch with the lightest of touch, such strength and control with his hands that touches like silk. Her ability to stop she cannot grasp anymore. How will a weakened woman do about that? Nothing. A distraction. That's her last resort.
"I'll take that as a no." seeing her speechless and do nothing but be mesmerized with his stare, he bends to kiss her again.
Ah, fuck it again.
Maybe there's no way out now. Maybe it was really bound to happen and Aerin knows she definitely won't regret it.
Then a familiar tune, not from the track loop but coming from his phone. A distraction she's waiting for but felt so damned with the whole timing. He heard Heeseung groans in disgust and tried to ignore it.
"S-Someone is calling you--" Aerin stretch her head up to glance on the blinking phone.
"Forget it--"
"I-It's Won. Maybe it's important."
Heeseung finally stopped. It's not a surprise if all the members would bother him in the wee hours of the morning or in the middle of a foreplay. But Won? It's a different story. The Enhypen leader is not calling anyone, especially on a sudden break. Jungwon is respecting everyone's personal time and space. Heeseung felt unusual with the sudden spin.
He gave Aerin a hard peck before pulling up. "Don't go anywhere."
She answered him with light giggles. Heeseung stood up with his cheeks and ears flushing with redness as he grabbed his phone to answer the call.
"Hyung--" Jungwon greeted him, sounds scuffled, voice a bit distressed.
"Yeah? What's the matter?" Heeseung was immediately covered with worry.
"I need to talk to you."
Heeseung glanced at Aerin, was torn between the two.
"I'm with Aerin right now. Is it an emergency?"
"Oh!" Jungwon let out a nervous titter. "I'm so sorry to interrupt but--"
"Is everything alright, Won?" Heeseung worries doubled hearing a not so ordinary laugh.
"I need your help, Hyung. I think it would be better if you bring Aerin with you. I'm sending you the address--"
Hearing the line disconnecing made Heeseung to think profoundly. The oddity of Jungwon's sudden call sends some kind of a misfit.
Heeseung stroked his hair, body temperature lowered down. He glanced at Aerin pulling her shirt back for a cover.
"I'm so sorry, baby--" he softly groans, hugged her tight like a tot wanting a cuddle.
"It's okay. Let's not rush." Aerin smiled.
Heeseung heaved a hearty sigh. He couldn't believe how things turned down so easily. They're almost there, but maybe, it's still not suppose to happen that night. They got so many nights ahead. That perfect night will definitely come.
That night was the best by far. There was a happiness in her, not the kind that is loud and obvious, but complex and pleasing. He can hear her heart sings in great joy even if she tried to hide it.
And then, quickly, he gets to realize, Choi Aerin is his happily ever after and he is hers. Being with her, he have the serenity he'd been seeking after a long time. Together is his favorite place to be. With her, everything is better.
"Is Won alright? You looked so worried."
"I don't know. He sounded a bit off. He wants us to meet him now."
"Like right now?" Aerin panics adjusting her top back.
Heeseung chuckled seeing her quickly rattled. "I'm afraid, yes." he leaned to give her another kiss. "Ah, Won is such a bummer." Heeseung shakes his head in disbelief.
It's a one hour drive to reach the address. Looking steady from the car's windshield, that one stop shop is located outside the city's vicinity, a rural place - the one that spells danger as what Yuki had said. Heeseung clicked his tongue seeing a threatening place.
"Tsk! What is Won doing in here? This place may looked safe but not the safest to be quite honest." he was torn between panic and worry.
"I saw him." Aerin suddenly blurted putting Heeseung in another surprise.
"W-Where?" he fearfully asked.
"Wait a minute?" Aerin was put to a halt seeing an impending sight. "I think he's with someone." Aerin faced him with a questioning eyes. "A g-girl?"
