"Jasmine?" he called jolting her out of her thought. She blinked slightly. "Can I come in?" he asked and she nodded.
"Yes you can"
He walked into the room, looking around carefully. She offered a seat to him.
"Thanks" he muttered and she smiled.
"I thought you left with Kelvin to your pack house"
"Yes. But I had to come back because I need your help"
She furrowed her brows. What help could Ryan need from her?
"What can I help you with?" she asked wondering why Ryan suddenly needs her help.
He sighed and looked straight into her eyes. He wasn't sure if he should tell her about it or not. And if she will be willing to do it for him.
"Can we wait until Kelvin gets here?" he asked and she shrugged.
"Does what you have to say have anything to do with him?" she asked and she shook her head negatively.
"No. But I think I will feel more comfortable with his presence"
She stared at him. Is there something too difficult for him to say to her that he needs the presence of Kelvin? Or has he suddenly become shy? She wondered. She also wondered why the atmosphere feel awkward between them.
"Do you really, have to wait until Kelvin comes?" she asked and he nodded.
"But I can leave and return when he gets back"
"Isn't he still in the Munar pack?"
"He is"
"When is he coming back?" she asked and realization suddenly hit him.
Kelvin won't be coming back. He had told him to stay in the Munar pack and help him out until he returns with Jasmine. He would have asked Ariana for help but she is very busy and Jasmine seems to be the only one that can help out.
"It seems Kelvin won't be coming back. Why can't you just tell me or do you want to write it out?"
He sighed. "That won't be necessary. I don't know how to express it but can you follow me to the Munar pack? You might understand better when you get there"
Jasmine furrowed her brows. But what could be going on in the Munar pack that Ryan can not talk about? Why does she have to go? She sighed and stood up.
"I will get changed. You can wait for me outside"
Ryan stood up and left the room. On his way out, he met Ariana.
"I thought you left for the Munar pack?" she asked.
"Something came up and I needed Jasmine's help" he answered.
"Why are you outside? Should you not be inside speaking to her?"
"I already spoke to her and she is coming"
"Did something happen over there?" Ariana asked and he nodded.
"Yes. Something happened and I need the help of a witch to get rid of it. Jasmine seems to be the nearest person I can call for help"
Ariana smiled. "I understand" she muttered. "Is she going to follow you to the Munar pack?"
He nodded. "You can come too if you are not busy"
She smiled. "Even if I am busy, I will cancel all my schedule. I don't think I have been there before"
He smiled. "You are welcome there at anything"
"Thanks" she muttered. "I should go get ready"
Ariana ran into the room and he waited patiently for them.
"Can I come too?" Jamal asked.
"You want to?"
He nodded. "Kelvin told me about it. I might be of help too"
He sighed. "Thanks, Jamal. I really, do appreciate"
Jamal patted his shoulder and he smiled. A few minutes later, Ariana and Jasmine walked out.
"Can we go now?" Jasmine asked and Ryan nodded.
"Sure"
"Where are you guys planning to go without me?" Jabal asked.
"To the Munar pack," Jamal answered.
"Did anything happen there? And by the way why is only Ryan back? Where is Kelvin?" Jabal asked.
"He is helping to keep an eye on someone" Ryan answered.
"Who?" Jabal asked.
"When you get there you will find out. We've got no time" Jasmine said.
Jabal furrowed his brows. "To tell me what is going on?"
"No? To explain what is going on here when you can find out when you get to the Munar pack" she answered and everyone groaned slightly.
None of them is ready to listen to their augment. They still wonder how they were able to stay together when they were kidnapped without fighting.
"How about we continue this talk on our way to the pack house? We don't know how severe the issue Ryan wants Jasmine to solve and staying here to argue might worsen the situation" Jamal said and Ariana and Ryan nodded.
"And we also have to talk about how to save the vampire Queen," Ariana said.
"Did you not say that they suspected the Queen had dropped a secret message for you and that is the reason they came back to look for it?" Ryan asked. "Don't you think we need to act fast before she is taken to a different place and the security tightened"
"We can talk about that when we get to the Munar pack," Ariana said. "We have got good news"
"That will be after Ryan's problems have been solved," Jamal said.
"Yes," Ariana answered.
"Then we should get going," Jasmine said
Whatever" Jabal muttered.

When they got to the Munar pack, Ryan showed them to the room where Kelvin was. He had briefed them on what they were coming to face and except Jamal who had heard about it from Kelvin, every other person was surprised. He had thought it was best he told them about it, now that they are here. He was worried Jasmine might say no if she gets to know about it and he doesn't want to involve Ella and Emerald because he knows how busy they will be.
"How did she get possessed?" Ariana asked, a while after they were told.
"No one knows that" Ryan answered.
"Do you know what possess her?" Jabal asked.
He needed to be sure if tbe spirit is something Jasmine and Ariana can handle. He is worried about his sister and also about his mate.
"What are we going to do now?" Jamal asked. "Jasmine, why aren't you saying anything?" he asked and she sighed.
She never knew this is what she was coming to do. To chase out a spirit she knows nothing about. It was something she has never done before. She would have asked her mother how to carry out such a thing or maybe ask Ella for help. Thinking about this made her angry and she had to keep quiet.
"Are you ok?" Ryan asked. He could tell Jasmine is angry.
"Why did you not tell me about it?" she said calmly.
"I was worried you will involve Ella and Emerald. Knowing how busy they are, I do not want them leaving the earth coven to come here" he answered sincerely and she sighed.
She understood what Ryan is trying to say but she still felt it would have been better if he had told her beforehand. She would have been prepared mentally.
"But I still think you should have told me before we got here," she said.
"I am so sorry" he muttered.
Jasmine sighed but said nothing. There was an awkward silence that got the rest wondering what was going on in their mind.
"Don't you think we should go and see what we are going to face?" Ariana said.
They agreed it was better than standing here in silence. They followed Ryan to the room.
"Do all of us have to come in?" Jamal asked, retraining his steps.
"I don't think so. How about Jasmine and Ariana go in with you first? Jamal and I can come in later" Jabal suggested and Ryan shrugged.
"If that is what you want, why not"
"Then we will look around the pack house and return as soon as possible," Jabal said, holding Jamal's hand. 'Let's go" he said waving at the rest. "See you soon"
After Jabal and Jamal left, Ariana and Jasmine followed Ryan into the room.
"You are finally here," Kelvin said when he saw them.
"Yes," Ryan answered.
"Is she the one possessed?" Jasmine asked, pointing at the lady tied up.
"Yes," Ryan answered and Jasmine stared at the lady tied up.
To her, she looked so peaceful and normal. "Are you sure she is possessed?" she asked.
"She is. I calm her down with my powers but I don't know how long that will last or if it is going to have a side effect" Kelvin said.
"Can I touch her?" Ariana asked.
She had been observing the lady for a while and felt it is best to move closer to her.
Kelvin nodded. "You can but be careful"
"I will go with you just in case," Jasmine said and Ariana nodded.
They moved closer to the lady together with Jasmine behind. She was to use her power if the lady goes aggressive. Ariana squatted and touch her, but the lady made no move.
"Ryan, what is her name?" she asked.
"Luella, I guess" Ryan answered.
Ariana touched her. "Luella?" she called but there was no response. "Luella?" she called again. "Are you sure she is alive?" she asked.
"The book!!" the lady said suddenly and Ariana jumped up in surprise. The lady had spoken into her ears and that had gotten her by surprise.
"Are you ok?" Jasmine asked. "You look startled"
Ariana stared at the lady that had spoken but she had returned her head to her lap and was silent. She stared at the rest and it looked like they never heard what the lady said.
"Did you not hear what she just said?" Ariana asked and they stared at her.
"You mean her talking about a book?" Jasmine asked. She heard the lady clearly but she doesn't understand what she meant by that.
"What book is she talking about?" Ariana asked.
"I don't know. And she is not saying anything again" Jasmine said.
"Should I try to make her talk?" Kelvin asked.
"No. That might make her aggressive. I will try to know the spirit residing inside her first. Ariana, you have to help me" Jasmine said and Ariana nodded. "Kelvin you will help out too, in case the spirit tries to run away. We can't let it enter someone else. Ryan get us some candles"
Ryan left to get the candles.
"We don't gave any stone," Ariana whispered.
"We might have to try another alternative" Jasmine whispered back.
"Do you know an alternative?"
"We will think of one"
"Are we not going to find out which book the spirit is talking about?"
"We don't have time for that" Jasmine answered. "But we can help it speaks when we get to expel it from her body"
Ariana sighed. She hopes so too.

They stared at one another and then at the lady lying on the floor.
"Do you think what the spirit said is true?" Ariana asked after a while of silence. "Do you?"
"I don't know. I can't believe it either" Kelvin said.
"Did Stella not tell us that one of us will have the book?" Ariana asked. "Isn't that what she said?"
Jasmine who had been quiet for a while spoke up. "The spirit is not lying"
They stared at her. What does she mean?
"What do you mean?" Kelvin asked.
"Everything the spirit said is true," she said and they blinked.
The spirit had told them the book will fall into the wrong hand no matter how hard they try.
"A-are you saying we won't get the book?" Ariana asked, stuttering slightly.
She just could not believe that the spirit had spoken the right words. Isn't the spirit that of a fox? Known for their cunning act?
Jasmine nodded. "Yes, we won't get the book at first"
"What book are you talking about?" Jabal asked.
They had just returned after going to so many places. They had thought by now they should be done with expelling the spirit and might be ready to listen to what they have to say but the mood they met them now says a different thing.
"What book are we not going to get at first?" Jamal asked when no one answered Jabal.
"The great book of the witches," Jasmine said.
"What?" Jabal and Jamal said in unison.
"Are you being serious?" Jamal asked and Jasmine nodded.
"Yes. But it is nothing to worry about"
"Are you saying not getting the book is nothing to worry about?" Jabal asked with a frown.
Isn't the book the only thing left that is keeping peace away from the world? Isn't getting the book and returning it to where it belongs their last task to return peace? If they can't get it, how are they supposed to carry out the task and return peace to the world?
"Remember what Stella said about one of us being in charge of the book?" Jasmine asked and they nodded.
Of course, every one of them can remember vividly.
"What does that have to do with us not getting the book?"
"Remember said the quiet one who is reserved. The one whose heart doesn't long for power but love among us will find it?" she asked staring at their faces and they nodded. "She doesn't mean that we will be the first to get the book. She only said that one of you will have it and we don't have to worry about the book getting into the wrong hands"
Jabal groaned. He still doesn't understand what Jasmine meant.
"Can you be more specific?" he asked.
"I bet she can't. Stella wasn't able to do that" Jamal said.
"Before the book appears there will be lots of rumors and prophecies and every one of us will be so busy trying to find out how true the rumor is that when the book finally appears someone else will find it but the quiet one who is reserved and whose heart doesn't long for power but love among us will find it". They stared at her and she sighed. "That is the prophecy I got when I looked into her eyes," she said pointing at the lady.
They sighed. This is Jasmine's first time getting a prophecy and they do not know how real her prophecy might be. But if it is really, a prophecy, they might as well prepare for it.
"Will she be ok?" Ryan asked, trying to change the topic.
The atmosphere was awkward already and he doesn't like it.
"She will be fine" Jasmine answered. "She should be taken to her room. She will wake up in a few hours"
Ryan left the room to get some guards to come and carry her.
"Thanks for your hard work," he said to everyone after the guards left. "If not for you all, things would not have returned to normal"
"But we did nothing. I mean Jabal and me" Jamal said and Ryan smiled.
"Your coming here is something. Thanks"
Jamal shrugged. "I guess our presence meant something"
"Everyone must be hungry," Ryan said. "I will ask for some snacks to be made," he said and turned to leave.
"how about we talk about saving the vampire Queen? We must try our best to save her by tomorrow or we might lose the opportunity to do that" Ariana said.
"How about we talk about that over plates of food," Jasmine said, beaming.
"All you always think about is food," Jabal said and she scoffed.
"Like you do not eat food" she muttered.
"What did you say?" Jabal asked.
Knowing that a heated argument is about to start, everyone decided it was best to ignore them.
"I should take a stroll," Ariana said.
"I can show you around," Jamal said.
"I should take a stroll too," Kelvin said.
"I guess I should get going," Ryan said leaving the room.
Jasmine and Jabal stared at each other.
"You don't think they purposely left us? Do you?"
"I think they do" he replied.
She sighed. "I think I will go on a stroll too. My legs feel numb" she said standing up.
Jabal stood up. "I should go with you. I don't want to be the only one here. Hope I can?" he asked and she nodded.
"Yes"

They got ready to go and rescue the vampire Queen. Ella and Emerald had helped them break the spell and it was easy to locate where the Queen was kept with the help of her comb. Yesterday, after they got back from the Munar pack, they had all spoken to Ella and Emerald about their plans and they had commended them on how good their plan is.
"But you think we will get there on time and be able to save her?" Jasmine had spoken out, the fear of others.
They are all afraid that they won't get to the location early and by the time they get there, they might have taken her to a different place.
Ella smiled. "Are you afraid you won't be able to save her?"
"We are more afraid of missing the location," Jabal said.
"You have nothing to worry about. We took care of that already. Go and make us proud" Ella said.
They stared and Emerald and she nodded.
"You have nothing to worry about"
Hearing those words, soothe their heart, and the following morning, they matched down to the location of the vampire Queen with the courage to save her. The location was a cave closer to the one Jasmine and Jabal had been to.
"Why do you think they did not go far from the last cave?" Jabal asked Jasmine as they entered the cave.
"The witch's power can not cover a very large land and it takes time to cast the spell again" she replied and he muttered an oh.
"Then do you think the witch is not strong?" Jamal asked.
