19. Picnic at Night

"Your friend is a bit unique, when she broke up but instead invited a picnic at night. And she took her friend to bring her husband,” Jack joked as he put some things into the trunk of the car.
"I actually didn't want to invite you. But she forced me, besides that I couldn't refuse because of the situation she is in right now. For now I'm just being understanding to him,” said Lea before getting into the car.
"Well that's for sure. But this feels weird."
"Don't think about it too much. Just think of it as doing charity because you're comforting others who are sad. It's enough to reduce your sin. Hurry up and get in the car, I'll drive because if you drive it's too slow."
Jack got into the car. For a moment, he looked at Lea with a dubious look. “Give me a moment to pray,” he said.
“You're mocking me!” Lea exclaimed in annoyance. She knew that Jack's words had offended her.
"Never mind. You said you wanted to leave quickly. Don't linger, it's getting late."
So off Lea and Jack went in their car. And believe me, Jack almost fainted when he was in the car. Lea drove recklessly and her nagging became more and more horrific. Successfully making Jack realize that he could die in the car.

“Hoek ... hoek ... hoek ....” Jack couldn't stop spilling his guts due to Lea's reckless driving style.
Nana glanced at Jack, and felt sorry for him. “What did you do to her? It's a pity to see her like that.”
"Never mind. He's just like that. Too weak and prone to motion sickness." Lea waved her hand in front of her face.
"Seriously? It looks like she'll pass out if left unattended,” Nana said compassionately.
Lea shook her head and then they decided to continue their picnic in a fairly quiet city park. The sky that night was very clear, the stars shining brightly, like diamonds on a black velvet cloth.
Jack, already feeling a little better, joined them on the picnic mat. They started chatting about various things, from everyday life to lighter topics. The conversation eventually turned to constellations.
"Hey, look at that! The constellation Orion,” Lea said, pointing to the sky. “Orion is one of the most recognizable constellations because it looks like a belt with three bright stars in the middle.”
Nana, not to be outdone, added, “And over there, that's the constellation Ursa Major, or what we call the Big Dipper. It looks like a dipper, right?"
Jack, always ready with a joke, said, “So, if Orion has a belt and Ursa Major has a dipper, is there a constellation that has a fork? Because I feel like we're in the kitchen of the sky.”
They burst out laughing at Jack's joke. The conversation continued with Nana pointing out other constellations while occasionally cracking jokes that made the atmosphere even warmer.
“Uh, what if we set off fireworks?” Nana suggested suddenly, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.
“That's a good idea!” Lea agreed, and Jack could only nod with a smile. They knew Nana needed more entertainment to forget her sadness.
Nana confidently picked up the large fireworks she had brought with her. Bravely, she lit the fuse, and instantly the dark night sky turned bright and colorful with the explosion of fireworks.
“Woohoo! This is really fun!” exclaimed Nana as she jumped up and down in excitement. She looked like a child and was really happy.
After the excitement of the fireworks, they sat back on the mats and opened a few cans of beer. The atmosphere became even warmer, and they started singing together. Nana, who was starting to get drunk, was even more excited and sang loudly, although her pitch wasn't always right. And it was deafening to hear.
"Nana, maybe we should enter a singing contest. With that voice of yours, we'll either win... or get kicked off the stage or pelted with rotten mushrooms,” Jack joked.
However, Nana, who had started to become unstable, suddenly picked up her sandals and hit Jack roughly, successfully making Jack flinch. "Shut up! I'm being a diva tonight!” she said with a laugh. Jack and Lea couldn't help but laugh and feel sad at Nana's increasingly uncontrollable behavior under the influence of alcohol.
After a while, they decided to call it a day and started packing. Nana, who was already too drunk, was finally driven home by Jack and Lea. In the car, Nana began to ramble on about Jonathan, about life, and of course about the stars that she saw spinning above her head.
"You know what, Jack? The stars are far away, but they can still shine on us here. I'm becoming a star, so that Jonathan knows I'm still shining, even though I'm far away from him,” Nana said in an emotional but humorous tone. She was actually lamenting her current fate.
Jack smiled wryly and said, “Take it easy, Nana. You're already a star tonight, with all your outrageous behavior."
When they arrived at Nana's house, Jack and Lea helped Nana into her house. After making sure Nana was okay, they headed back to the car.
“Oh my God... what kind of picnic is this?” the two complained together.
