"Worship earnestly or God will curse you,” Gaeul scolded in annoyance at Helian, busy watching the various women in the church. “Ah look at one of those women. Isn't the hem of her dress too low?” Helian was instead busy noticing a woman with a low slit on her dress, revealing the beauty of her large mountain. DUAK Gaeul kicked right into the center of Helian's pants. And obviously her action made Helian scream in pain. The young man even unconsciously screamed like a soprano. “You bastard, there's no need to reprimand me like this!” Helian whispered in a voice that was both painful and angry. He continued to hold the center of his pants. His face looked like he was enduring a great deal of pain. Just like a person who was hit by a debt bill. “It's your fault. Try to focus on the current situation. Don't you feel suspicious about the atmosphere in this place?” Gaeul tried to get Helian to focus on her surroundings. “There's nothing strange about this place. Except for you acting as if you're facing an assassin. It's because of you that I missed the chance to look at the beauty of God's creation,” complained Helian who had no intention of showing her focused side. He was too busy with his playboy side and continued to admire the beauty of women. “You should just die. You don't realize the sin you're committing. You're really going to end up miserable just like that cheap Casanova,” Gaeul scolded in disgust. She removed her face from Helian and refocused on hearing the priest's sermon in front of her. “What a girl you are. You don't need to sulk like that,” quipped Helian who was being indifferent to Gaeul. Gaeul ignored Helian. She then chose to observe her surroundings. Her hunch was right... that the church they came to was not just any church. The movements made by the church servants seemed so suspicious. Especially the behavior of the priest. The movements were subtle, but it was clear that if an ordinary person saw it, they would not consider it a disturbance. “In the name of God... you are all blessed!” cheered the priest as he splashed the holy water on the congregation. Gaeul's eyes were perfectly round. She was sure she saw that the priest, too, threw another object at the congregation. DUAR A smoke bomb exploded and instantly the room was filled with thick smoke. Gaeul covered her nose and mouth. She realized that the smoke bomb contained a substance that made its victims faint if they inhaled it. “Helian... Helian!” Gaeul patted her friend's shoulder with one hand. She tried to confirm whether her friend was okay or not. But Helian didn't move at all, Gaeul panicked a little. She then tried again to confirm whether Helian was okay or not. But while she was trying to resuscitate Helian. Someone appeared from behind her body. Gaeul who realized the presence of the figure turned around and moved too late. The figure hit her head with a stick. Gaeul fell to the floor with her head bleeding. Then the figure who injured Gaeul dragged her and Helian's body together. He then took the two young men to a room. *** The smell of incense was so strong that it made Gaeul cough. Slowly recovering his consciousness, he blinked his eyes repeatedly to recover his slightly blurry vision. “Are you okay?” asked Helian. His face looked very serious. It looked like he was fully conscious. “Your head is spinning?” Helian wanted to make sure that her friend was okay. Gaeul rolled her eyes lazily. She was a little surprised why Helian, looked healthier than her. Wasn't she the one who was unconscious first, to the point of making herself unconscious like this. Wait? Where was the person who had made him unconscious like this? “Where? Did you see anyone suspicious here?” asked Gaeul weakly. Her head was bleeding and it made her feel quite dizzy. “Everyone here is suspicious. There are many corpses... ah I corrected it seems like they are still alive. But wait a minute.” Helian tore off some of her clothes and tied it around Gaeul's head. “Don't move too much!” Helian admonished. She realized that Gaeul was bleeding. Gaeul was silent. But as soon as Helian finished bandaging the wound on her head, she felt a little strange. And sure enough, Helian's expression seemed to be holding back laughter. Gaeul felt her head and found a ribbon-shaped knot there. “Don't try to untie it, you're bleeding. That should help you enough.” Helian helped Gaeul stand up. Gaeul glared but soon, she went back to acting as if nothing had happened. Her head felt a little heavy, she realized it would be difficult for her to move. He reached into his pants pocket and took out a syringe from there. He then injected the liquid into his veins through his arm. “What are you doing?” said Helian, surprised and a little scared, seeing Gaeul suddenly inject something into her own body. “Just medicine. Don't overdo it,” Gaeul replied flatly as usual. The injectable medicine that she sometimes carried, was indeed quite helpful for her. The drug, which was mixed with narcotics as well as some poisonous plants, had the property of recovering her quickly. But the drug obviously couldn't be used by anyone other than herself, because if a normal person used it, they would die. The drug actually contained lethal levels of poison. But the poison did not apply to Gaeul who was immune. Helian was curious but he should not interfere. Instead of taking care of Gaeul's business, Helian tried to think calmly at the moment. “We're locked up in a soundproof room, besides it seems like this room is isolated from the outside,” Gaeul said while feeling the walls covered with soundproofing. “What kind of place is this?” Helian was saddened by her current situation. Especially when she saw the few people who were with them in this room, looking unconscious. “I'm just guessing. It seems like these people are members of the congregation of this church. This church seems to be a cult. It uses its members to be captured and then traded. You could say it's human trafficking.” Gaeul looked at Helian and told her his thoughts. “Are you sure about what you just said?” Helian was still hesitant to come to this conclusion. She hadn't even considered that this church was a cult. “When I was about to enter the church. I saw two guards who looked like congregants. They blended in so as not to be seen. But it was clear they were on duty. They did not enter the church and pretended to welcome guests. But they were actually making sure no one was suspicious or carrying sharp weapons into the church.” Gaeul still remembers when she secretly caught one of the guards shaking hands with the congregation. Where there was a small tattoo on his hand that was barely visible.
