19. Past

“You know this sounds really sensitive. But because I feel trust in you, I choose to talk to you.” Helian took a deep breath then exhaled slowly, he deliberately did that to make his feelings more relieved. “My father is a businessman in Korea. And I was sent here to look for my brother by my father. It seems that my father had slept with a woman and did not marry her, so he intends to find the child of the woman he had slept with,” Helian said very honestly. I don't know why Helian, who was supposed to keep this secret, was able to lightly tell it to other people who had no special relationship with him.
“You talk so lightly about your personal problems. Don't you regret what you did?” Chyou did not want Helian to regret her decision. Talking about personal matters often made a person, well, fallible.
“That should be the case. But for some reason, right now I don't seem to mind sharing it with you.” Helian sighed. “I told you earlier. That I feel comfortable with you is why I came here. I will never blame you, if anyone else finds out my secret. Since I was the one who decided to tell you, this is already a risk for me.”
“You gave me an unexpected sense of trust. But since you, have spoken like that so be it.” Chyou herself did not want to get too involved or know other people's business. But if it has been entrusted like this then as much as possible he takes care of it. Just hope there was no bee that stung his lips, and made him not speak freely. “Then does that make you feel burdened. You came here to be assigned to find your brother, right?” Chyou repeated.
Helian nodded his head. “But it's not entirely a burden for me. Instead, I'm more worried about what if, later on, my father takes advantage of my brother? I know my father's character very well, who never has anything to lose. He must have another purpose in seeking a child from a woman he did not marry. I think he just wanted to take advantage of my brother. Even though I didn't know or recognize my brother. Still, I don't want him to be used by that old man. It's annoying to see people who like to use blood relations for personal matters, especially for dirty things.” Helian's face looked very displeased as he told Chyou about his personal problem.
Chyou laughed wryly. He did not mean to demonize Helian. But somehow in his heart, he agreed with Helian's dislike for his father. It was as if he understood and felt too that, that hatred had a clear basis and he felt it. Although he did not understand it, his heart voiced it honestly.
“He really is a bastard old man. I think I can empathize with your story. Although I'm just another person in your life. Somehow I feel that your father is just a person who likes to take advantage of others. I want to beat his head in.” A feeling of vague emotion as well as anger that confused Chyou suddenly filled the surface of her heart.
Helian stared at Chyou with a face that looked a little surprised. He did not expect that Chyou would speak to this extent.
“It seems that I spoke too far. It's obvious that it would be burdensome for you to hear an overly emotional story.” Helian began to sober up, fearing that he would burden Cyhou.
Chyou took a deep breath and then let it out quickly. She realized quickly how she was almost filled with negative thoughts. The emotional feeling that had suddenly appeared just now, made her feel uncomfortable.
“Ah yes. We'd better end this conversation. Are you feeling hungry?” asked Chyou.
“Do you have any recommendations on where to eat?” Helian asked back.
Chyou snapped her fingers, then smiled like a seductive bad boy. “Let's go to a bar,” he said. In contrast to her typical childlike appearance, Chyou seemed to be showing a much more mature side now.
Damn he even looks cooler than me, when he says that, Helian thought admiringly. He was fascinated by Chyou's natural-looking seductive style.

Gaeul lit her cigarette. The contents of her head were in chaos. Meanwhile, the smart phone in her hand was still on. She had just finished a call from her mother.
She stared at the river with a flat face. The river was flowing quite fast, and it reminded her of her father's corpse drowning with his car in the water.
It was painful for him to see his parents end up like that. Her father was declared dead due to an accident. But Gaeul was convinced that her father had been murdered.
For him, the injustice that befell his father was the greatest misfortune of his life.
Often he himself felt sorry for his own ill-fated life. And many times his thoughts often ended up in the abyss of despair. For example, today, those bad thoughts again overcame her and made her feel stressed.
But in the midst of his bad thoughts. Suddenly he heard the sound of people laughing. And as soon as he turned his head, he found a young man he recognized who looked like a drunk.
Chyou laughed, she then threw the milk bottle at Gaeul with a blushing face.
“What's wrong with him?” asked Gaeul, curious to see Chyou looking like a drunk.
“That crazy guy... he just finished 10 glasses of soju mixed with wine. You know, he asked me to go to a bar and actually replaced the bartender.” Helian walked up to Chyou and held the young man back from acting even more ridiculous.
“Hey don't hold me back!” screamed Chyou in displeasure as Helian held her down.
“You shut up! If you keep acting up I won't hesitate to tie you up here!” threatened Helian irritably. The Chyou he was restraining continued to thrashing around like a baby panda. Luckily Chyou's body was smaller in size so it was easy for him to hold her weight.
“You should take her home quickly. She's drunk, it's not good for her to be left outside,” Gaeul said sympathizing with Chyou and Helian's situation.
“Then come back with us to the dormitory. I think it's getting late, it's not good for you to linger outside.” Helian gave Gaeul a pitying look. She knew that Gaeul was not in a good mood.
Gaeul looked away and turned around. “You take care of him. It's already late and it will be very troublesome for you to keep a drunk like him outside.” Gaeul walked away and was about to leave. But suddenly her hand felt like it was being held by someone.
“Wait. I know that your heart is not feeling well. I don't know your problem. But... it seems like you can't go alone.” Chyou held Gaeul's hand. “I don't want to interfere in your problems. But I feel that you seem to need a friend... ah not exactly a friend to accompany you home,” Chyou said in a cheerful tone that was also half-conscious.
Gaeul just remained silent without responding. She looked like she had no intention of going with her two friends.
“Gaeul, I won't force you to go with us. If you feel better, it would be nice for you to go home soon.” Helian pulled Chyou away from Gaeul. She did not want to make things difficult.
