"The eyes of the serpent looks my way."
After that chapter, I walked out feeling like a temporary champion, a temporary one indeed, Xavier shook my hands after the meeting as we gathered outside.
“Look at you, a big girl indeed, I am proud of you, I really am proud of you, the way you attacked her, genuinely I was shocked.” He said as we all slowly gathered. 
“Aella the attacker, nice one, nice one, I saw everything, I saw everything clearly, she really is a headache and you put her in her place, that’s our wildcard.” Konna said, as he shook me.
“That was really nice aella.” Amil said patting my back. I was really happy, I felt known in the midst of my friends, in fact that is not it, I was happy because I stood up for my friends, I was truly filled with joy and as the smiles kept on coming the head boy then came into our midst as we talked and laughed saying.
“Hey everyone.” He said as he smiled and got our attention.
“I would say, I really did not see you guys in this nature, in fact I saw you all as pompous and proud, I never knew you guys were actually honest and well behaved and you all tackle situations like a pro, one would think it is only Xavier but you all really tackle topics and situations like Geniuses, I look forward to tomorrow.” He said as he smiled and then took his leave.
I have been many things and I have felt many things but I have never felt like an actual highlight not just in the group of my friends but in the eyes of people that don’t even know me. This was the highlight, this is the highlight of how my heart secretly wished to be known in the eyes of the unknown, It was still an early stage and I didn’t think nothing of it now but later this short spark of emotions became a problem but any who lets move on to the next chapter.
On the next day, we were going to decide the venue and the events of the next day, we were ready and Xavier has read it all to us, this time we entered the room and they were there before us, we were not really certain why? But they were there before us for some reason, now this time everyone was more or less waiting and she was there too, looking into my soul like I stole something from her, I sat down and then we started to talk about the topic, we started to talk about the gathering, this was not the staffroom, it was the PHE office, we knew at the end this was where we were going to be in. 
“uhm, welcome everyone, today we would be talking about our location and plans for the second day, yesterday we agreed that the first day was going to be a day of rest, no special events and nothing just introduction, now on the second day we would need to choose series of events to happen, the ones that will at the very least catch the eyes of the student, one thing is for them to be happy and the other is for them to be bored, now if we don’t do something they like then we are the villains, we will have them want to go against our rules, all our calls and commands will have fading effect, that’s the truth, so what can we do for that day?” The head boy said, looking at Xavier and waiting for his addition.
“well we all know that what the head boy says is the truth, if we don’t satisfy the kids then they will not satisfy our ideology and pay deaf ears to our commands and that’s how it will be, there will be nothing to change their minds but before we go for all of these ideas and suggestions can we at least choose a place between the locations we have?
 We have the location on the island, lekki,  this is a nice place with rooms and accommodation, it has series of compounds and the first one consists of the amusement area.  in the next compound we have  the venue, the first venue being the big one and then there is a smaller venue at the side, both will be accessible to us at all times, then we have the third compound, it consists of the Dorms, it is more unless like a small street with one street for boys and the other street for girls, there will be three buildings for boys and 4 for the girls, it is a trekkable distance between each compound but also it is a trackable distance from both Dorms, we may have to go there ourselves to confirm and decide. The second venue option is at Maryland, its not so big but it will have premium service options, it will be a big venue and the venue option is just one, there are not multiple venues in the place, so we won’t be able to have separates events and that will lead or more or less change our plans for the future. So this is a single venue and that is all there is to it, the dorms are more or less in a different street entirely and it will need us to use our transport for movement to the venue.
 Note the lekki has 2 venues and has special rooms that cannot host too many students, the specifications of these rooms are practically unknown. It will come with security and with cooks, incase that is needed, this is for the lekki venue but then for the Maryland venue, they have a pond, they have a big space and also they have a big compound for gathering, if that would be needed, the advantages of the place is just the space because it has more space than the other places on this list, that is simply it, but then we have the last place. 
This place is kind of separate, it is not all together like Maryland but Maryland has its venues and dorms on the same street but this one is different, it has its dorms like houses in a street entirely different from where the dorms are located. It has a setting of moving from one place to another, the compounds are not together, located in the same street or area as Radisson blu and Sheraton and some other luxurious hotels. Now we will be having our hostel somewhere close to Radisson but our venue is not in the same area, which means our bus will be moving the students from one place to another, it is a little far from our place but it will be make us spend more and make the kids will be more tired because of the movement and all. Now in these three locations which will be the best, it will be up to us to make theses kids have a good time so let us choose wisely.” Xavier said and then he sat down.
This was a hard one so he later stood up and wrote all the locations out for everyone on the board, we have a board in the PHE room so it is really convenient, whenever you need to explain something in detail. It was written out like this.
First option: Lekki, the all-in-one location, all are together in a compound separated by walls, including already hired security but no cook, plus it holds some secrete rooms, that could be useful.
Second option: Maryland, location with a larger space, the rooms are in the same street, there are no separations with walls apart from the girls hostel located in a corner with high walls,.
Third option: Ikeja, location has a nice venue that is separate from our hostels, the hostels themselves is located in an estate at the back of Radisson with 2 whole buildings for the boys and 2 whole buildings for the girls. 
This was a clear choice if you ask me, I mean I would like to choose a place that is not so far from the venue, I mean it Is even better it be in the same compound so dinning and so on will be made easy, now instead of you to actually be moving from one place to another, you just move like you are strolling and then you get to where you are supposed to be in, it is easier and it calls for a better conduct if you ask me. Now you see why the Lekki location Is the best. But no these people already had their own plan it is funny but, just listen.
“Um I have decided, or we have decided to choose the location 3, I know this may seem all sudden to you guys, but we have thought about it very well, we have asked the question, why not go all out,  I mean what do we have to lose? according to the founder he said we should utilize all options, we should worry not about any setbacks and we should not think about the expenses, I know what you all are thinking obviously the third option is more expensive but should we not put the sheer excitement of moving around into play? should we not make this the best of the best time for these kids?” the prefect said.
Now I know what everyone is thinking this is none other than Sarah, yes I know you guessed it, I guessed it too. Now the perfects normally would want an outside opinion but today it was different they all looked as if they enjoyed her plan, they wanted no help from anyone else outside, and we stood there looking like we did not belong. Now I wanted to talk, obviously I wanted to talk, I mean in my eyes this is rubbish, look at it the way I said you should look at it, we are moving from one location to another, it is going to be extremely stressful especially when the locations are not close to each other, the third location was hinted, the venue will not be close to the hostels, we know this very well but they still choose this, in my opinion this is rubbish, but I guess I was not the only one not having it.
oh I was going to stand up But I looked at Xavier and I saw that he was as annoyed at their pick than I was, I mean obviously this was a stupid decision, you don’t come up and make a decision without our consent, I mean we’re gathered for this reason, so why ruin this reason and come with your own decision.
“So does anyone have anything to add.”  Sarah said. I was sitting at the right End of the table and Xavier was Sitting at the middle on the right side while the head boy was sitting at the middle of the left side, I brought my head out to look at him and I could see how he was looking at the head boy and the head boy could not look back at him. This was a sign she had done something; I don’t know what she did but she has done something.
“Sorry for interrupting but, This is an agreed meeting, it was not an invited meeting, it was a compulsory meeting, we come here to discuss on the best course of action, to move forward. Now First things first there was no vote, I would recommend we vote for the best of the best location, in my opinion the Lekki location is the best location, I mean it is an all in one package, yes truly you may see it as a basic place but make no mistake we may be inviting schools over, we would be going out, we would be having excursions and we’ll be having fun but most of all we would be having our own planned events, you know this very well, the teachers would want to do something and I don’t mean just anything, they would want to at least show forth in a event and not just be in the sidelines every time, let's be sincere here, we would go to have fun indeed but having fun alone is mediocre.
I mean if you have fun every day all day for five days then did we really do justice to this vacation, learning something should also be part of the goal, at least something fun from the excursions or something fun that was conducted with the help of the teachers, it is to celebrate our school, truly the founder said we should worry not about expenses but don't you think that he said that to trap us, if we mess this up, Do you think he would come to any of the youths in the school to planning another event. let's be realistic. the best location is the Lekki location and if you want to vote then let us vote.” Konna said as he sat down.
“wow, wow I mean what happened to the respect? Is that a way to talk to your seniors?” She asked, as she stood up and looked directly at Xavier, behind the seriousness, this girl had a plan and even though we knew not what the plan was this girl had a plan indeed.
“Oh sorry oh senior, should I beg you to listen to my own addition? this is a meeting and this is not a meeting in which one side is superior to the other, this is just a meeting to decide the betterment of the school, we are trying our best to do everything directly but, oh senior do you see what went wrong? You did not ask us for our opinion on the issue or the matter, and you already concluded yourself, how would it feel if it was you on the other hand? we are not necessarily disrespectful, in fact we actually thought of this ourselves, the ikeja location is the best location to show off but for us to achieve more and for us to be able to do more the Lekki location is the best location. Plus you are not practically the leader of this group, you are only the assistant please let the leader speak and let us know where we stand.” I said , with a calm expression on my face.
“And why would you say I am not the leader, I’m the head girl, I’m allowed to speak in favor of the leader, and they have spoken I mean everyone heard but no one stood and no one raised their hands against my words so why would you?” she said, she is trying to prolong the matter but someone unexpectedly voiced out.
“Of course, you are the senior and of course you have power, at least this as an authority given unto you that is what your post says, at the same time the title head boy is given first before the head girl. Now if for no reason please for the sake of the title given we want to hear from the head boy, if he speaks then we agree and we will not fight but at the same time let us have it in mind the teachers will not tell us what we are doing wrong, they will only tell us after we have done wrong, simple.” Monna said and then sat down, for the first time Monna spoke in this meeting and we were truly convinced, this decision was stupid and it needed intervention.
“That is enough please, we have no need to raise our voices, and we have no need to fight, understanding is everything, now for the first location, I understand, it is the best location in fact is truly the best location but then at the same time the third location is not so bad, we will be moving around, the students will have enough time to look around, the environment and the place, talk about difference, it has it, according to what he said it would be an estate, that is where our hostels will be, so I want you all to imagine this.
 we are coming back from a long day and we are headed to our hostels, lets just say the busses are allowed to carry us inside, would that not be okay, how about the busses are not allowed to enter inside, lets note that this is somewhere nice in ikeja, would it not be lush to walk down from the streets gates to our hostels? The boys hostel is a sum of 3 separate buildings with a room containing 4 beds, these are not bunks by the way, these are comfortable 3 by 3’s and that is good, its premium comfort, now lets look at the girls room, there are 5 buildings and they have the same amount of rooms and all so that has covered them also. I mean look at it as a neighbor, how interesting will it be to see up to 400 students walk past your house and up to 200 go further up the street? Would it not be nice? And that is why the first location is the best. Xander said, standing up. I understood what he played, he mocked their ideology by praising it.
“Exact…. wait, huh.” Sarah said, just catching on to everything.
“All in favor of the first location please raise your hand.” He said as he raised his hands up, we all raised our hands up except from the sport prefect, the library prefect, the social prefect and the Head girl.
“And how does that make sense.” The sport prefect demanded an explanation.
” Simply put, for the amount of people of our caliber the first location is the best, because the third location brings too much attention to us and plus, it would be displeasing to the ones who live around the neighborhood, if you make the calculation of our numbers, the girls are more than the boys but the houses for the boys may be okay if we squeeze our selves in but we aren’t looking to squeeze them in, we are looking for comfort. Also, secondly because of the area of high prestige, it would be stupid for 400 students to always come out and go out of every day, we are using coasters here and that is lowkey enough but its still going to be a hassle for their day-to-day commute and thirdly, why take the student to places they already live in? who has not lived in a street? Who has not lived in an estate, some of our students come from Ikoyi so it would only be interesting for some of them not all and that is not our aim so let me repeat all in favor of location 1 please raise your hand? “He said as we all raised our hands except the library prefect, sport prefect, social prefect and Head girl. 
 It was clear that we won this one and she knew it, that wiped the smug look off her face. We then talked about the events for the day.
In the morning we’ll be having the teacher’s game, this will be set by us, it’s a game where the teachers guess places, flags, logos and so on, we have a handful so that will keep everyone busy till noon.
at noon, at least late noon, we will be having the student’s game, this game will be set by us also and this game will be just like the teachers only this time we will be the judge and for the teachers the seniors will be the judge. all this will happen till 6:00 PM in the evening.
Even though it seemed like we had won, Sarah now hated us more, especially me, because all I did was copy her expressions of jestful smiles, only targeted at her, just like she did to me, she expected me to be the one to end it but I was backed up at the end.
I have had my revenge, but now I know the color of the snake and that color was black, it well noticeable on top the green grass.
