Just so we say, time flies, it's already been three months already since I was freed, today was the day, the day my best buddy was to become a freeman, I would make sure to be there myself, to accept him out, he's the reason why I got to understand the true meaning of life, still can't believe I know all I know now, all only because we crossed path, he saw me leave the kitchen that day, the day I would never forget, I really can't believe that I was about to do that, I almost did actually, but his interception saved the day, his wisdom and knowledge made me realize that I wasn't actually wronged, instead I was the one who wronged myself by not believing in myself, by hating myself and my existence, wasting time without knowing the value, all that was can never forget.
I made Daisy aware that I wouldn't be around today, though she knew nothing about my today's plans, but I just wouldn't be available, because today was all meant to be spent with my best buddy, my other friend apart from Ryan and Brian.
I bought few things which I would surprise him with, though he wasn't a person of surprises, he wasn't as dramatic as me when I am happy, but either way, letting down my guard around him is normal, I never had a guard after all, until he helped in getting me one, until he infested my mind and showed me how bright it has always been out there.
He'll get to see my New car, actually, the car I got in his name, that's the gift I was talking about, will drive it there and hand over the keys the moment I saw him, there's no doubt that he'll accept them, he knows he possibly deserves it, because he was the one who gave me more than I ever imagined.
People might possibly think I owe him my life, looking from the way I speak of my respect towards him, I don't actually worship him, LoL.... Just that, I would never be here have he not intervened. He just deserves all the respects he gets from me, to cut to the chase, I am already driving to the prison location, Ryan by my side, he's my personal assistant and friend, so he definitely has got to be here as witness and sign the agreements officially, not that I am ever going to take the car away from Karl one day, never, but making it official will give him reasons to accept the gesture from me.
We waited outside in front of the huge prison, rested our backs on the car as Ryan was trying to bring up a quality conversation for us to dig into. “ Can tell that you're intentionally hiding my new friend from me, just twice have I seen him, would possibly be just once if you never called my phone to show up at the fishing area.....” he said, hands folded and resting on his body, like he was trying to make it an argument.
“ You shouldn't say that, I am not in your way of calling him out one day and decide to hang out with him, you just have to meet with his guardian, maybe she'll agree to it....”
“ You're his guardian too!....” he argued.
“ Not officially, Daisy is his guardian, all you've to do is reach out, simple....”
He stopped talking, his silence making me turn to him, wondering why he wasn't debating anymore. “ I can tell that you're definitely the one in charge of Brian, just that you're jealous that if he spends so much time with me, he'll get to like me more than you.....”
What?, That was the question that sounded out in my mind, but I can tell he possibly understand the look I am giving him, like, is he serious right now?, Me being jealous?, Looks like someone here thinks that I am still a baby or something, I'm jealous of no one, not me.
“ Okay bro, I'll get you guys to hang out together later, and stop being delusional, damn..... Me jealous?!, Interesting.....”
I was waving my head as I said those words, like this guy is definitely joking, isn't he?. “ You see, I seem to click more with that boy because he's really intelligent, like beyond his age, he's quite mature for his age, and I can really tell it will have a negative effect to his socialism around his peers, they possibly wouldn't understand him and his words, the way he thinks, they wouldn't communicate well with him....”
I have thought about those too, seeing how cool Brian was, I know it definitely would be a negative vibe seeing him with other children who can't understand him, that would make him lonely most times, at least that's why he has me, that's why we clicked, at that fishing weeks ago, he revealed to me that he intentionally snuck out and was avoiding her sister from getting across to him, so he busied her line and decided not to use GPS because seeing the calls will definitely tempt him to answer, such bravery for a nine years old boy, or recklessness, I would say then.
Seeing the main gate of the prison opening, instead of the small one where prisoners are allowed to go through as free men, an ambulance was driving out. What happened?, I can see the prisoners all staring towards the gate distance away, meaning someone important was in there, being close to the ambulance, I feel like I gotta go check out myself what was so interesting about the ambulance that's just driving out, Ryan came with me and I happened to get the driver to stop, being a known figure there, I was allowed to take an actual look to see who's the victim.
I was taken aback, feelings unexplainable, head swelling like they were going to burst, I can't believe that I am staring at a guy who was supposed to be freed today, I just can't find the word to understand and believe what I am seeing.
“ I heard you guys were close, the inmates said that they all woke up, only to find him hanging, he committed suicide.....”
The prison guard said as he ordered for the ambulance to leave the premises. Oh God, what just happened?.
