Chapter Fifteen
"Don't you ditch us, Xeena! I'll freaking kill you! "
"As if you can! " I shouted back.
"Hey, you two are too loud. You might disturb the other patients, " Kiah scolded.
"Tsh. I'll be back later. I have something to do. " His wife nodded at him. And I just rolled my eyeballs because of their too much sweetness in front.
Seriously?!
Did they forgot that I'm here? Like, hello? I'm single!
I just made a face.
Sweetness overload, gross.
Why there are couples like that? I can't imagine doing those things together with my partner. Like kissing the parts of your body in public?! Err, I can't imagine that thing and it's really, really, really gross!
Goodness.
I guess my stomach's twitching every time I thimk that so I should stop thinking that.
When Klev finally left the place, I looked at Kiah.
"Good thing Klev brought you here, " she started.
"Yeah... " If you only knew, Kiah. You're husband's threatening me!
Silence.
Argh, it's so boring in here. Why would I gonna do here anyways? Look at those patients lying in their own beds? Err. Gosh, I am really hoping that something will happen in here. Like, uhm, some thrilling scenes or someone will start a fight.
Yeah. A good one.
"Do you want something? " Kiah asked.
"Something? "
"To eat or drink? "
"Oh. Nothing, I can manage. "
She nod at me.
Her eyes backed at her child. She slightly spread her palm on the hair of her daughter. I pouted.
Somehow, I kinda thought of having a children too. Well, I want to feel how to be a mother. Like, I'm doing household chores, taking care of my baby and so on. But, I will not get in that point if I don't have my husband and that's what I really hate the most.
I don't want to get married but I want to have a child.
I sound so crazy.
"You're looking at me too long, " Kiah commented. I stopped and immediately got back on my own.
"Oh sorry. I was just thinking of something… " I whispered.
"What? "
"Like--How it feels to be a mother? "
"Mother… " She snorted. "Well, it's fun but you will not get in that point of you'll not marry on someone, " she said.
"Yeah,,that's what I hate. "
"Why? You don't want to get married? "
"Yes. "
"And why? "
"Well... You know, I hate boys. I don't want to be cheated on, " I answered.
"Goodness, Xeena... " She laughed. "Boys aren't the same. "
"But that's what I saw and I don't really have plans on marrying someone. "
"You'll regret saying that, someday. "
"No way. I swear, " I said
She shooked her head.
"You know what, you're different from me. Because I really want to get married with Klevo. "
My eyes widened.
"You're still not married?! " In shock, I asked.
She shooked her head. A sign of saying 'no'.
"But how--"
"Do you think we will have some time to do that? Of course, none. He has a job to be done and I am willing to wait until it's done, " she said in a low tone voice.
I didn't know that they're not still married. Well, she has a point. We're in the midst of chaos. And yeah, chaos is still playing with us. It doesn't want us to leave. So, that would be impossible to them to get married.
"Don't worry. I'll do everything to protect him. To make you two married. "
"You don't have to do that. "
"I have responsibilities on protecting the people around me. I don't want to be feel useless again, like before, " I uttered.
I saw, she smiled in sadness.
"I really feel pity for you. "
"No, you don't. " I stood up.
"W-where are you going? " She asked.
"Somewhere. Don't worry I won't ditch you. "
I didn't wait on her answer. I left the room and I saw many doctors, nurses and even patients that scattered in the hallway. Some of them are in their wheelchairs. I shrugged my shoulders.
I started walking until I reached somewhere. I only stopped when I saw some policemens and detectives in the front of other room. My forehead immediately knelt and my curiosity began to run.
What's in there?
I took how many minutes on looking at that place. I'm still having a two minds. But, I know I don't have to go there because that's the job for policemens but I really want to. Geez. But, and yes another but, what if... that's the scene that would make my day complete?
Yeah, yeah. Probably.
After a couple of minutes debating with myself, in the end I still entered the room. The policemens were busy outside so they didn't noticed me. Nice!
"Well, I am doing my job officer. Why on earth I'd become a suspect? " The tone of the nurse's voice was seems so mad.
I ignored their conversation and I continued walking until I reached the patient. I observed him very well and I can say that someone murdered him in a very easy way.
There are only two possible ways. The first one is someone injected him a medicine that might be bad for his condition. And the second one is someone uses a pillow to stop him to breath.
I took a deep breathe.
"Miss, excuse—" I turned my back and faced the officer. My eyes widened when I saw the same officer who caught us and the officer that I saw yesterday.
"Woah! It's you again! Looks like destiny really love us—"
"What are you doing here?! You are not allowed here! "
"Oh, really? I didn't know. No one informed me... " I pouted. "But hey, I know who kills—"
"We don't need you here—"
"Who?! Who killed my husband?! " The wife of the patient who is lifeless shaked me. I slightly removed her hands on mine.
"If my conclu—"
"You're not sure? " The officer cutted me.
"I'm sure, of course. Duh. Well, let's get back to what I'm saying. As I observed earlier, he's not really fated to be dead now because his conditions are fine. But, someone forced to murdered him and she really did. " I smirked. "He died just an hour ago. So... "
I took a glance on his wife.
"You'll be a suspect too. And you, and also you. " I pointed the wide, the nurse and also the one who is guarding the room.
"So, when the crime happened, where are you? " I asked his wife.
"I am outside, buying foods to eat, " she answered.
I nod.
"You? "
"I am here, guarding all the time, " the guard answered.
"And you? "
"I'm at the w-ward, " the nurse answered. I pouted. Why she's stuttering?
I feel something weird.
