Should I stay back because I have nowhere to go?, no. They're stamping on my right and I don't take such disrespect, I am a poor kid who has nowhere to go, but staying back there is more disrespectful to myself than anything else. Mr Drew was silent when I was walking out of his house by this time of the evening, it's getting to 20:00 and I am out here wandering about, looking for a good spot to sleep. Despite our poor status, my mom never allowed us to sleep outside, not for once, she struggled to make sure we sleep under a roof no matter whatever it takes to provide the money. I'm not proud to say this, but I'm proud of my mother to reaching this length just to make sure I am always safe, she gets her hands dirty just to see that I get something to eat, she lived an unspeakable lifestyle where you can see her with different men just to make sure I slept under a roof, she works day and night to provide for me, working many jobs to make sure that I got all I ask for. The moment I got to understand all she had been doing for me to stay healthy, she fell into a fatal accident that made her lose her senses, her way of living wasn't something I was proud of, had I understood that she does all that just for me, I never would have requested for anything, a mother's love is different, that I know, if I was under a man's care, at that early age, I will probably be catering for myself one way or the other, I would be the one training myself because that's the way men are, always growing when they're in an uncomfortable state. If I never experienced the life I am experiencing now, what sorth of life should I have been living, I would be ruined by the love my mom has showered upon me and I will always rely only on her decisions, but I was taught the hard way, with her paying the price. No matter whatever it might've been, whatever she might've done, I will always be proud of her for going that length for me. Walking on the street, people walking through and fro, marketers selling their goods and people buying, cars moving up and down the road, singles and couples all going on their ways, no one cares about what wasn't his, no one cares about the other as far as they're not with them, I was just there, walking with no set destination, eyes traveling at every angle around the street, looking for the best place I will get to sleep in. It was really cold, my head was covered and my hands too, putting on gloves and a pull over that would protect me from the freezing whether. I went inside a store to purchase myself some snacks to bite on, at least they could add to the food I ate this evening, since I wouldn't be having dinner. Coming out from the store after I was done purchasing some snacks which were placed inside my pockets, I stepped out of the door and saw three men come out from the car packing in front of the store, they all were carrying a pistol, two of them went in while the remaining guy was keeping watch outside. I have always lived on the street, my mother belonged to the street, so as me, I handled small pickpocketing with friends when I was little and I know all about all this, but right now, I am not proud of my past, I was influenced by the street and I lived like them because that's where I was born into. Walking across and going round to the other side of the car where the man keeping watch wasn't staring, I was holding a long nail and I have already planned on what to do. With his attention also inside to see how his fellow men where doing in there, I stabbed the back tire, I planned on running but realized that he didn't notice what just happened, then I moved to the front tire, stabbing another. I was quite surprised that he came to such a critical mission like this and wasn't focused on the task given to him, I believe he doesn't know that his carelessness just cost them their escape. I ran to someone nearby who seemed to be busy handling something, I pleaded with him to call the police, reporting that there's a robbery going on in that store, he was taken aback at first, but immediately did as I asked him, after all his clumsy acts. Before the thieves could finish with their robbery and headed out, the police were here, three of their vehicles arrived, the men tried escaping, but realized that they've got flat tires, that's how it was game over for them. The man and I went there too as well as many other peoples to stare at the incident going on and how the robbers were caught, to my surprise and right before me, the man was claiming the honor of my efforts, telling the officers that he was the one that saw the emergency situation and called for help. He was praised for his undeserved efforts, enjoying the attention he was getting. I'm born in the streets, I left the street, but the street never left me, I guess he doesn't know the trouble he just got himself in, he should pray that this guys never got released or happen to escape, because then will he realize that he just stepped on a land mine. After everything were over, I was about to walk away when someone held my arm, turning me around, “ It was you, I saw you, you were the one who caught this guys.....”. It was the store owner, how did he know that I was involved in this, I hope I am not in danger.
