Jane's suspicion grew stronger as her determination to uncover the truth about Lara intensified. Over the past few weeks, while living with them, Jane had observed certain peculiarities. Lara often engaged in conversations with herself, and her drawings of her life in the alternate universe had captivated the interest of other students. Moreover, Lara exhibited remarkable intellectual prowess, effortlessly committing entire books to memory, word for word. Unbeknownst to Lara, Jane had developed an alternate theory about her origin. Influenced by movies she had watched, Jane began to entertain the idea that Lara might not be human. But what troubled her the most was her own father's behavior. Jane noticed her father referring to Lara as a princess, a term he had never used for her. Furthermore, she observed him seeking private moments with Lara, leading her to question whether her father was flirting with her. In her quest for answers, Jane made a bold decision. Instead of going to school, she chose to stay home, strategizing a plan to gain access to Lara's room. Her intention was to plant a miniature camera that would reveal everything that transpires within those four walls, particularly any interactions between Lara and her father. Jane was determined to uncover the truth, even if it meant invading Lara's privacy. Lara woke up early in the morning after her father king Arthur had instruct her to kiss her found love, she hurried to school to meet Steve so she may kiss him before Jane thinks worst of her, especially with Max continuous gaze at her and often appearance in her room. There was no doubting it, that it wasn’t only Jane suspecting the sudden interest of Mr. Max in her. Being the goddess she is, she can not send her subjects who desire to see her away. For if she does, she will have no worshippers, Stella whom appeared to have asked Max ever since he had returned from the hospital to why he keeps gazing at Lara in a flirting way and entering her room often in a day got no respond from Max, her fears grew more seeing Max had no intention on going back to work. She had tried talking sense to Max since five days ago after his return from the hospital. Still Max kept giving her excuse he isn’t ready yet. She knew Max was lying for Max had never allowed not even illness to stop him from going to work. Being a principal and a club owner, she knew her absence tonight in the house could be an advantage for Max to get intimate with Lara, if truly there is an affair going on which she isn’t yet away off. As Stella left the room, her mind was consumed with thoughts on how to approach Jane about spying on her father that night while she supervised activities at the club. She hadn’t been able to attend the club recently and needed to gather information about the events that had taken place during her absence. “Jane, you know my nightclub is still running smoothly even without my presence. I have to go there tonight to document what has been happening in the past few days. By the way, why aren’t you dressed for school?” Stella asked. “Mom, I’m feeling sick. I don’t think I’ll be able to go to school today,” Jane replied. “Alright, make sure to call Doctor Charles to check up on you, okay?” Stella instructed. “Okay, Mom,” Jane agreed. “Where’s Lara?” Stella inquired. “She and Collins have already left for school,” Jane informed her. Sensing an opportunity, Stella approached Jane closely and whispered in her ear, “Once I leave for the nightclub, make sure you keep an eye on Max. Can you do that for me?” “Okay, Mom. You can count on me,” Jane assured her. After Stella exited the house, Jane became suspicious that her mother was up to something. Realizing that she, too, had her own suspicions, Jane decided to visit a camera shop to purchase a user-friendly digital camera for discreet surveillance. Returning home, she quietly installed the camera on the ceiling of Lara’s room and connected it to the Wi-Fi to ensure it was functioning properly. Satisfied with her setup, Jane left Lara’s room with a sense of accomplishment. During the early morning’s first lesson, Lucy walked into the classroom, captivating everyone with her charming beauty and elegant presence. Principal Stella entered shortly after, surprised to see Lucy already present. “Oh, you’re here already,” Stella remarked. Lucy stood before the class, dressed in a white long-sleeved turtleneck top, a blue jean jacket, and skirt. She turned to Stella, who seemed to be under an enchanting spell that took hold of her whenever she saw Lucy. Stella, still under the spell’s influence, resumed her introduction. “As I was saying, this young lady will be joining your class. Please make her feel welcome,” Stella said before leaving the class. Once outside the classroom, Stella regained her composure, puzzled as to why she had been standing outside instead of being in her office. She returned to the office, trying to piece together the events and understand who the lady she had admitted was, unable to recall any details. Meanwhile, Lucy remained standing before the class, her gaze fixed on Lara. Curiosity piqued, Lara couldn’t help but ask, “You haven’t told us your name.” “Joan is my name,” Lucy replied, forcing a smile. Unaware of Lucy’s true identity as King Arthur’s adversary, the one who had cursed her, Lara gestured for Lucy to sit beside her, indicating an empty seat. Teacher Nancy, seemingly under the same spell, remained silent, awaiting Lucy’s command to begin teaching. Prior to Teacher Nancy’s arrival, Lucy had cast a spell, making all the adults in the school submissive to her control. As Lucy took her seat beside Lara, Teacher Nancy spoke up, seeking permission to continue, “may I continue” “Yes, you may,” Lucy responded. Lara, oblivious to Lucy’s hidden intentions, introduced herself, saying, “I’m Lara,” with a smile, before redirecting her attention to Teacher Nancy, who had already resumed teaching. As Lara focused on the lesson, Lucy stared at her with simmering anger. Despite her fury towards Arthur and her desire to harm anyone Lara loved, Lucy felt a strange gratitude towards Arthur for not revealing her true identity to Lara. Sitting beside her enemy, Lucy realized that Lara had no idea who she really was. With this advantage, Lucy decided it was time to get even closer to Lara. During the lunch hour, Lara would frequently seek solace in the library, immersing herself in books to acquire knowledge about various aspects of humanity. Ever since she joined the school, this had become her routine. As she sat engrossed in her reading, Steve approached her. Lara noticed his presence and offered a faint smile, while unbeknownst to her, Lucy was lurking in the library, observing her from an invisible vantage point. Despite Lara’s ability to sense the presence of people, she seemed to ignore Lucy’s presence, assuming that she was merely surrounded by fellow students in school. This gave Lucy the advantage of spying on Lara without raising suspicion. Lara stood up from her chair and warmly embraced Steve. “Don’t tell me you’ve missed me,” Steve teased. “Okay, I won’t tell you,” Lara replied with a playful tone, before returning to her seat to pick up the book she had been reading. “Really? You’re just going to read and not tell me you’ve missed me?” Steve continued, a hint of longing in his voice. “Yes, you said I shouldn’t tell you that I miss you,” Lara responded, her eyes fixed on the pages before her. Steve laughed and took a seat opposite her. “How about I take you to my place this evening for a family dinner at 7?” “You could have just told me you wanted me to know where you live and meet your family,” Lara playfully retorted. “Yeah, that wouldn’t be a bad thing, though. I really like you, and I want us to build an unbreakable connection,” Steve confessed. “Pick me up at 7 pm,” Lara replied, a smile gracing her lips, before leaving the library. Steve couldn’t take his eyes off Lara as he watched her exit the library. Meanwhile, Lucy’s gaze remained fixed on Steve, who stood up a few moments later and walked away. Once he had left the library, Lucy emerged, her heart heavy with sadness for Steve. “He is so handsome. It’s a shame I’ll have to separate them,” Lucy whispered to herself, contemplating her next move. “Should I resort to drastic measures and eliminate him?” She paused, reconsidering her thoughts. “No, not yet. I need to find a way to separate them first. If he proves to be unyielding, then I’ll have no choice but to take drastic action,” she concluded, giving herself a sinister smile before departing the library in her visible form. Meanwhile, Collins, a young and intelligent man who had never been lucky in love, sat alone on a school bench, waiting for his friends. While he waited, Lucy approached him with a confident stride. “Hey, handsome. Are you sitting here all by yourself? Mind if I join you?” Lucy inquired. Collins looked at her, uncertain if she was addressing him. He glanced around, searching for any signs of a prank being played on him. “Are you talking to me?” Collins questioned, puzzled by the sudden attention. “You know what? I’ll just sit here,” Lucy replied, settling down next to Collins. Collins couldn’t help but be captivated by Lucy’s radiant complexion. Just as his friends arrived, they were taken aback to see Collins sitting with an attractive girl. Collins, feeling self-conscious about the company he was keeping, rose from his seat, intending to leave. To his surprise, Lucy followed him as he walked away with his friends. “Why are you following me?” Collins asked, his curiosity piqued. “I like you and want to know where you live,” Lucy boldly declared. Collins, hearing her words, took her hand and led her to his house, unaware that Lucy had overheard his thoughts When they had crossed paths earlier in school. She had picked up on his inner musings about confessing his love to Lara. This led her to believe that Collins could potentially be the one Lara had been searching for a true love. Seeing Lara with another guy later that day only fueled Lucy’s determination to redirect Collins’ affection toward herself. The only way to achieve this was by giving him the love he so desperately desired. As they arrived at his house, Lucy smiled and turned to leave. “I thought you might want to come in,” Collins suggested, hoping to extend their time together. “I have to go for now. Now that I know where you live, you don’t need to worry. I’ll come by later today,” Lucy assured him, walking away with a mysterious air about her. Lara stepped out of school, eagerly waiting for Steve to drive by so she could join him in his car. She had seen countless movie scenes where the girl is kissed goodnight as she’s dropped off, and she secretly hoped for the same experience. While she waited for Steve, who was engrossed in a basketball game with his friends, she noticed Stella behaving oddly. Intrigued, Lara rose from the school bench and approached Stella, who was about to get into her car. “Is everything okay?” Lara asked, concerned. Stella looked at Lara, trying to compose herself before responding. “Everything’s fine. I’m just in a hurry to get home and have a quick rest before heading to the club,” she explained. “Yeah, I remember you own a club. But I wonder why you still work as a principal when you make more money from the club,” Lara remarked curiously. “That’s because I still want to maintain a respectable image through my profession as a principal,” Stella replied. Before Lara could say anything else, Steve drove by, honking to get her attention. She turned as he shouted through the car window, a proud smile on his face. “I believe you’re waiting for me,” Steve said cheerfully.
