ANGERED GODDESS King Arthur arrived back at the castle, making his way to his room. As he entered, he found his wife, Zara, in the midst of a conversation with Lara. Zara, unaware of Arthur’s return, was overjoyed to see him and embraced him. With a smile on his face and a sense of contentment in his heart, Arthur kissed Zara on the lips. After the kiss, he inquired about the conversation she had been having with Lara. “Zara, what were you and Lara talking about that couldn’t wait for my return?” Arthur asked. Zara replied, “Well, Lara revealed herself as a goddess to the man she lives with in order to save his life and bring joy back to his family.” Arthur chuckled proudly. “She truly is my daughter. Did she mention the young man she’s in love with?” “No, my love,” Zara answered. “She only spoke about the tasks she needs to accomplish that don’t involve her newfound love.” “Very well, I must speak with her. Father has visited our realm, insisting that the curse be broken,” Arthur said. “Lord Sylas was here?” Zara exclaimed, surprised. “Why didn’t you mention this to me?” “I apologize, my love. The attack on you had taken precedence until now,” Arthur explained. Arthur closed his eyes, entering a meditative state to establish a communication link with his daughter. Through the mirror in his room, he could see Lara, who was conversing with Jane. “Lara,” he called out. Lara, hearing her father’s voice, motioned for Jane to excuse her and walked to her room. Jane, curious about Lara’s behavior, decided to eavesdrop and find out what Lara was up to. She had become suspicious of Lara ever since her father was discharged from the hospital, observing how often he called her his princess. Lara entered her room and closed the door, responding to her father’s call. “Father, I am here.” “Lara, my child, turn to the mirror in your room,” Arthur instructed. Lara obeyed, smiling widely at her father’s presence. “Daughter, why haven’t you yet kissed the one who loves you? Your godfather demands that you free yourself from this curse and return to our realm, for you are needed by the Lord of the Universe,” Arthur conveyed. “I will, father. Just give me a few more days in this realm,” Lara requested. “The passage of time in your realm is different from ours. You are given three human days to fulfill your purpose and return to us,” Arthur explained before closing the communication portal. “Don’t you think you were a bit harsh with Lara? She didn’t bring this curse upon herself,” Zara expressed her concern. “I wish not to be, but she has found someone who loves her. Why delay in breaking the curse?” Arthur replied. “She will, my love. She will,” Zara assured him. Having heard her father’s message, Lara decided to kiss Steve and break free from the curse. However, this meant revealing her true identity to Steve and giving him the choice to follow her to her universe or remain on Earth. Despite her decision, Lara knew she would miss her kind friends, Jane, Stella, and Collins, who had treated her with much kindness. Zara lay beside her husband, a few minutes after he had called Lara. Soon after She quietly left him while he was still meditating and focused on listening to his subjects’ conversations. As king, his primary duty was to be attentive to his people, leaving little time for intimacy with Zara. Being a goddess and not mortal, Zara understood the importance of pleasing mortals, for their prayers and devotion sustained their reign. Only on the gods’ special days were they not prayed to, as those days were reserved for celebration and pleasure. It was during these days that the gods were born through divine intercourse, and the first gods celebrated their creation. While Arthur meditated, focusing on observing and hearing his people, Zara took out her staff and magically opened the gateway to the dark realm. Swiftly, she entered before Arthur could take notice, aware that his pursuit would weaken her as a goddess. Unlike Arthur, who had taken a lengthy process to fulfill his godly nature and establish his presence among mortals, Zara appeared through the portal before Lillo, Surprised to see Lillo sitting on the throne, Zara became curious and questioned her. “Why do you sit on a throne that is not yours? Where is the queen of this realm and her daughter?” Zara asked. Unaware of Arthur’s previous visit, Lillo decided to play along with the dramatic situation. “The king, your husband, was here and engaged in a fierce battle with the queen, causing her to fall into a deep slumber,” Lillo revealed. “I find it hard to believe” Said Zara. “Are you not a goddess? Doesn’t it state in your holy books that only those of godly blood can sit on the throne of a higher being? Yet, here I am ,” Lillo responded. “Go to your husband. He does not lie; he will tell you the truth.” Zara, struggling to believe the situation, asked about Lucy’s whereabouts. “Where has Lucy gone? Did she leave in search of a solution for her mother, Maya?” she inquired. “No, she has gone to Earth, most likely to prevent your daughter from finding true love,” Lillo disclosed. “That’s not possible. She shouldn’t be able to leave this dark realm,” Zara protested. “Of course, she cannot step foot on the land of this realm, but you speak of the other universe you sent your daughter to. As long as the curse remains, she cannot return until it brings sudden doom upon your lands,” Lillo explained. Zara couldn’t believe that Arthur had gone behind her back and fought with Maya, despite her explicitly asking him not to. She opened a portal and appeared right in front of Arthur, who was still meditating. While he remained in his meditative state, Zara struck him on the cheek with her palm, causing him to open his eyes with a flaming gaze. Seeing that it was Zara who had struck him, Arthur questioned her, “Why have you done this, Zara?” Zara met his fiery gaze with darkened eyes and retorted, “Why have you decided to fight my battles? Am I not a goddess? Do I not have the right to command you?” Arthur’s anger subsided as he saw her eyes turned into darkness. “What is this about, Zara?” Arthur asked. “It’s about you defying my command. Didn’t I tell you not to visit Maya? But no, you chose to visit her, and now the kingdom will suffer,” Zara expressed her disappointment. “How will the kingdom suffer for it?” Arthur inquired. “Lucy can travel between universes, and now she seeks to stop Lara from finding true love,” Zara revealed. “What?, what have I done? I should have waited for Lara’s return before visiting Maya,” Arthur lamented. “Call Lara now and tell her to hurry and kiss her newfound love. Inform her of Lucy’s presence in her world,” Zara instructed. Arthur tried calling out to Lara, but there was no response. He called repeatedly, but still, there was no reply. Zara realized that the link between the two worlds had been broken and became annoyed. She stomped away from Arthur’s side, frustrated with the situation. In search of Zara to apologize for his reckless actions, he combed through the private rooms of the castle, but she remained elusive. Turning his attention to Hellas’ room, he was surprised to find Zara there. However, his surprise quickly turned to astonishment as Zara used her telekinesis to slam the door shut, revealing her anger—an unprecedented sight for Hellas, who had been serving as the queen’s mini goddess for a few months. Knowing that they were forbidden to pry into the gods’ personal lives, Hellas decided to take a chance. She humbly knelt before Zara, her gaze fixed upon the queen’s eyes. “My queen, what has upset you to the point of shutting the door on the king?” Hellas asked. With a mixture of sadness and frustration, Zara replied, “Hellas, the king has hurt me deeply. Despite my clear command, he ventured into the dark realm to fight Maya, the woman I explicitly instructed him not to engage.” Encouragingly, Hellas spoke, “You, my queen, embody love and compassion. Try not to let your anger towards the king linger for too long.” Zara was touched by Hellas’ kind words and gestured for her to rise and sit beside her. Eagerly complying, Hellas felt honored to have found favor in the queen’s eyes. “Today, I shall be with you not as a queen, but as a humble servant,” Zara proclaimed. Uncertain of the true meaning behind Zara’s words, Hellas quickly dismissed any carnal thoughts that might misinterpret Zara’s intentions. Unbeknownst to her, Zara could read her thoughts and smiled with satisfaction, aware that Hellas couldn’t discern whether she meant to engage in pleasure or merely share a bed in a non-romantic way.
