Chapter 19 PG- EIGHTEEN

Worry filled Thelma as she held the red sparkling dress. The deal had been made with her consent, sealed with a promise that nothing was going to boomerang but still, the scary feeling remained present. She sighed to herself and took off her current clothes to put on the dress, there was just one problem with the dress, it wouldn't fit around her hips.
"Come on- stubborn dress!" She grunts frustratingly and jerks around hoping the dress won't tear, then her eyes accidentally glance at the full-length mirror. Thelma froze seeing an amazing woman rocking the designer outfit. It was her very reflection glistering in glory, it felt perfect to the skin and perfect in every way like it had been premade just for her. The way it hugged her curves and framed her back, this was one killer dress for an ordinary escort, as if Alicia knew she'd like it, she chose the finest from the best.
Thelma stopped staring and began running her hands over the plane side of the dress, her other hand tracing the designs falling down her left hip and going up to the upper part of the dress. The texture was soft and the design was worth everything! She wished he had not judged the dress before trying it out then she wouldn't have to feel embarrassed. ‘I am sure this dress cost a fortune but why would they spend so much on a dress that would be worn only one night? I only hope I won’t ruin it at the party. or before the party, or after the party! Oooohh... Thelma, why didn’t you think about that in the first place? What’s the point I am already in it, there is nothing I can do’  Thelma argued with herself silently as she checked all sides of her body loving the way it hugged her skin but not excessively tight. The only thing making her self-conscious is wearing such a dress in public.
Thelma mesmerized herself in the beauty of her makeover and lost track of time. She carefully outline her curvy waist, changing pose to show her wide hips and turned to her side to see what was behind ‘gee- I have one big butt!’ She exclaims in surprise. She glorified God's master craft in creating her but she did not realize it even after Valentino’s death. All this, brought back beautiful memories of her teenage age(s) when she would dress splendidly in hopes of gaining Valentino’s attention from their lessons and cooking class after he began making it hard to get him.
“Thelma is everything okay?” Alicia called behind the curtain.
It got Thelma’s attention that she was spending way too much time in the dressing room when they should have been hitting the venue. By now Kaycee will be there anytime to pick her up.
“Yes, just a minute.” She called out and adjusted her comfortable elastic dress, then made a few touches to her hair before sliding the curtains to the side for Alicia to see.
“Wow you look good. I knew that was the perfect dress for you.” Alicia compliment.
“Thanks.” Thelma replied shyly.
“So I am going to give you a few tips on what to do while wearing that dress. As you can see you already have the curves meant for the dress so it’s up to you to rock the stage. You must always cross your legs every time you sit so your stomach can feel comfortable and relaxed under the dress. Then you need to learn how to catwalk with these heels in one minute.” Alicia showed her a set of silver glitter shoes.
“How am I supposed to learn how to use that in a minute? They are really, really high!” Thelma voiced her concerns.
“It’s alright Thelma, I will teach you how to use it.” She brushed it off like it was simple and taught Thelma how to use the killer heels. It was a tedious exercise but Thelma was able to get a hold of it within five minutes making it easy for them. Not long a panicked-looking Kaycee entered the dressing room.
“Alicia we need the MO- deeellll…“ His words slurred at the sight of Thelma in the red dress and shiny heels. Every siren in his head wailed and he sucked in a breath to control himself. “Thelma... you, you look edible… wonderful, I meant.” He stuttered and scratched the back of his neck. For the first time, Kaycee acted uneasy in front of a woman. A miracle just happened and penetrated the womanizer’s ego. Thelma couldn’t help the blush that appeared on her cheeks, despite the foundation covering her face it did nothing to hide the blush that crept up her cheeks.
“We were just done Kaycee. Your model is ready, do you like it?” Alicia asked him while making Thelma look like a masterpiece of her work.
“Do I like it? I love how you rock it!” Kaycee exclaimed with admiration, but his stare made Thelma a bit awkward so he drifted his eyes to Alicia. “Thank you, Alicia, you did a wonderful job…” His words trailed as he tried not to look at Thelma with so much intensity.
“I know, which is why I am always the best.” Alicia spoke and gave a satisfying sigh. “Looks like my work here is done good luck guys.” Alicia said to them and took her handbag from a chair, then she waved to them before exiting the room.
“I guess I look good?” Thelma asked him but it felt like she was trying to assure herself she looked okay. She felt small with his piercing eyes staring at her from head to toe as a predator would stare at its prey it made her wonder the things on his unclean mind.
“Good? You look super attractive, more than Ava Sambora. If not that I know you and you work here, I would have done you by now.” Kaycee unconsciously voiced out his intentions and Thelma’s jaw dropped at his shameless comment. “Forget I said that.” He waved it off when he noticed her staring at him in horror.
“Do I look like Ava I mean the dress is too short for my liking and I do not resemble her at all. Are you sure they won’t get suspicious?” Thelma asked once more before putting on a show that was never hers, the last thing she wants is to be fined for identity theft.
“Trust me, Thelma, they don’t know and as long as you don’t bring it up. Look at the bright side! Don’t always let your worries take over your mind.” Kaycee said and moved closer but maintained a good distance to shield himself from touching what he had yearned to touch for months.
“You are positive they do not know this Ava?”
“They are wealthy people with class, who I bring doesn't matter as long as she is beautiful, young and famous. Those are the qualities they want, nothing more.”
“If you say so.” Thelma breathes out a nervous breath.
“Shall we?” Kaycee gave her his elbow and she gingerly took it, it felt so awkward holding hands with Kaycee when she always avoided him on a normal day.
