Chapter 25 Drunken Night

TEN MINUTES LATER...
Thelma and Orlando carelessly messed around with words, they looked so high laughing and snorting. He offered her a drink 'just one glass' she thought but temptation sank and she consumed excess. One became two, then three, then another until they were drunken fools laughing at a hilarious joke Thelma made, it was unclear if the joke was funny but they were having the time of their life.
Whatever dumb joke Thelma made had them slouching on their seats it made their ribs hurt from laughing.
A quick flashback.
Thelma tried to ignore the sensual feelings and tempting urge that fought against her discipline after entering the billionaire’s secret hotel room. It was a good feeling but very wrong because they were unmarried. She had hoped one innocent glass of wine would be fine but his persistence to drink more drove her emotions unstable, and now she is drunken with the alcohol from the wine. It was obvious taking more than one glass would become a disaster, but how disastrous? They will soon find out.
“Th..that's how I ended up here in Florida and I started working at the hotel-” Thelma slurred loudly while swaying like a moron on the chair. She involuntarily let out a burp and Orlando looked strangely at her. They silently stared at each other as if they were normal for a moment then Orlando gave a creepy smile that made Thelma burst into laughter.
'weirdos'
This madness continued for another eighteen minutes before they finally calmed down from tiredness.
“That must be hard for you.” Orlando added to the unknown conversation. He was a bit crazy on the wine but was not close to being drunk like Thelma. A little while later the strong effect from the wine started to affect him, he was suddenly lightheaded and drowsy. The countless amounts of wine he took were the largest in his drinking history because his body had the strength to tolerate alcohol for longer periods, and getting drunk wasn't always a problem.
“Yes it was and it is till this day. It’s so hard raising my only da-“ Her words were cut off by one hiccup then another, it came in laps making her unable to complete her sentence.
“Easy, easy, take this.” Orlando offered her a wine-filled glass but she refused it.
“Yeah, thanks- b- but I go- got to go.” She spoke through hiccups and stood up wobbly on her feet. Orlando saw her sway from left to right as she tried making it steadily to the door, so he stood up and assisted her but it was like two blind people trying to cross the highway safely. His movement was wobbly like hers and the door moved farther with every unstable step they took.
“Stay tonight.” Orlando told her knowing they won’t make it to the door without knocking themselves out on the way.
“I- I- I- got… I… dauer waing… for me.” Thelma spoke gibberish words Orlando couldn’t understand but leaned against him for support because her legs were already giving up on her weight.
“Stay, just one night, please.” He begged and leaned his head lazily on her shoulder.
“Fiwine.” Thelma said and relaxed into his arms.
Orlando mustered his last strength to focus on supporting their drunken weights and avoid accidentally knocking them to the ground. A few seconds later, Thelma twisted and turned to face Orlando who was staring at her, always! She looked him up from his hair down to his strong jawline that stirred the attraction she once felt in the parking lot. It became a staring contest and no one was ready to look away.
‘he is very handsome without the shades, but I always wondered what those lips tasted like?’ She heard a whisper in her mind and shook it off. If she allowed herself sink into this temptation then she might lose control and commit a great sin. So Thelma looked away from his eyes and leaned her head against his hard chest to wave off the feeling the alcohol was causing to her mind. ‘I knew I shouldn’t have taken that much’ she complained.
“Ava.” He called Thelma. His breath tickled the tip of her ear almost making her squirm.
“Mmm.” She hummed and ungracefully lifted her head off his chest to look at him thinking he wanted to say something but she was not prepared for the next thing the billionaire did. Orlando suddenly closed the gap and kissed her, and when she tried to back out he held both sides of her face making her frozen in place.
Orlando was the first to break the passionate kiss and leaned his head on hers. His eyes were closed as he let out soft pants and looked into his beautiful escort shocked eyes.
In all his years as a nomad spy, he had never met a woman like Thelma. There was something about her that felt so special, it pulled him like a rope around her and he wished everything didn't have to end overnight.
“You are so darn beautiful, it's impossible to take my eyes off you. I've tried Ava… I tried to keep my hands off you since the moment I saw you, I was trying to be a gentleman…” He said breathily and rubbed circles on her cheeks. “But I can’t, you make me feel things I shouldn’t, things I have never ever felt before, and it feels weird, Ava.” Orlando poured out his heart to her, something he never did with people he knew, and it warmed her heart knowing he felt something similar to what she was feeling. Thelma was still under the influence of the wine but Orlando's actions were beyond the wine.
Thelma unconsciously stood on her tiptoes and pecked Orlando on the lips. ‘wait!- why did I do that?’ she asked herself angrily.
Orlando was moved by her confidence, he assumed her reaction as an approval and carried her up, he made his way to the king-size bed in preparation for something nasty and wrong.
“I hope you know what this means, Ava?” He informed her.
“I know.” Thelma replied confidently.
Lights out
