Tony heard Young happily saying, "It's true, you're really fortunate." "If you're tired, go to sleep. You don't need to come to the park tomorrow to meet me because I won't be running. Tomorrow, I'll be going into the city early with my mom for some errands. Can you pick me up around 8 PM tomorrow night?" Young asked. "Yeah, sleep well. Love you!" Tony said. Young didn't say anything but responded with a virtual kiss to Tony. Even just that was more than enough for him. The next day, Tony was busy all day with his pre-planned activities. First, he helped his parents with farm work for over two hours. After that, Tony drove to the animal rescue center to adopt two Berger dogs and two Golden Retriever puppies. Tony's frequent visits to the center for dog adoption puzzled many people, but they didn't say anything. As long as Tony treated them well, it was fine. Bringing home the four dogs after taming them, Tony recorded videos of them. He carefully uploaded the materials and images of the four dogs onto the internet. Tony found a large dog lovers' forum on the web, a place for sharing experiences in raising and caring for different breeds of dogs. The forum also provided addresses of reputable dog farms and stores across the United States for its members. Additionally, the forum itself was a platform for buying, selling, and exchanging dogs. Tony registered an account on the forum. He started posting materials about each dog on the forum. Apart from images, videos, age, and weight, Tony didn't provide much information, as he believed the videos he recorded were convincing enough for those interested. After completing these tasks, it was already 12:30 PM. Tony rushed downstairs, grabbed a few pieces of cake for lunch, and then drove to a forest about 30 km away from the town. Accompanying him was a swarm of bees tethered in the back seat. Tony needed a lot of life points, and the cicadas around the town had been killed by his swarm of bees over the past few days. Today, he would spend several thousand points to tame the four dogs, leaving him with fewer life points. Tomorrow, he had to go to Boston to buy an electric eel. Without a large amount of life points, it wouldn't be enough. Tony had to embark on such a long journey because the forest he was heading to was many times larger than the town. There, he would find enough cicadas for him to hunt and gather life points. When Tony returned home after the hunting trip, it was already 6:30 PM. An exhausting afternoon of hunting brought Tony nearly 4,000 life points. After showering and having dinner, Tony returned to his room. The first thing he did was to check if there were any messages for him on the forum. Checking his inbox, Tony found that two people had messaged him, expressing their interest in buying two of Tony's dogs. Interestingly, both of these individuals were located in Boston, but they didn't have time to come to Tony's town. They asked if Tony could bring the dogs to their homes. Tony felt elated. He hadn't expected the business to go so smoothly. He immediately contacted the two potential buyers. After chatting with them, Tony scheduled a meeting for the next morning in Boston. After finishing the conversation with the buyers, it was already 7:30 PM, with 30 minutes left until his appointment to pick up Young. Tony hurriedly prepared to go to her house. After picking up Young, Tony took her to the town square for a stroll, accompanied by three dogs: Benji, Buster, and Bear. Young had initially planned to bring her two dogs with her, but her father asked her to take his dog for a walk as he didn't have time today. "Bam!" As the two walked on the breezy square, there was a sudden gunshot. Tony startled, and the first thing he did was to grab Young and pull her down to the ground. Alaska and Bear, the two Alaska dogs, advanced to shield Young and Tony when they sensed danger. The first gunshot made everyone on the square startle, looking around to see what was happening. "Bam... bam... bam..." As a series of gunshots rang out, people realized something was wrong, and panic spread as they ran to find a safe hiding place. In recent times, the United States has experienced frequent shooting incidents, causing great fear among the public. Therefore, when hearing continuous gunshots, many people became terrified. Some began dialing 911 after finding a place to hide. Tony could now see where the gunshots were coming from. It was the eastern corner of the square, where the town's police station was located. Tony felt a bit bewildered, not knowing what was happening at the town's police station. "Don't be afraid; I'm here." Tony whispered in Young's ear while holding her hand tightly. "Tony, what's happening?" Young asked, a bit frightened. "The gunshots are coming from the town's police station. I think it's highly likely that the police and some criminals are engaged in a shootout." Tony explained. Young found Tony's words plausible. The town hadn't been safe lately, as evidenced by the recent incidents involving her and Anna. "Hopefully, the police there have everything under control." Young prayed.
