Chapter 46: Intense

"What's the situation outside, Kenneth? Did the backup arrive?"
"The criminals outside have been subdued by me and the others. We're trying to hold them off until you guys can rush in."
"What? The town's police are coming to support and control them, right?"
"No, it's me and some folks from the town who took them down."
"How did you manage that?"
"It's Tony's work, Alex's friend."
"You mean little Tony."
"That's right."
"Kenneth, don't lead people into the attack. These guys are professionals, and the inside of the station is cramped and difficult. They have up to 6 heavily armed individuals with strong firepower. It'll be challenging to rush in, and I don't want the people in the town to be in danger."
"We can still hold them off, just need to keep... 'bang, bang'..."
The phone went silent.
Kenneth, panicked, shouted into the phone, "Henry... Henry..."
Worried for his younger brother, Kenneth was about to rush into the police station, but Tony held him back.
"You can't be reckless like that, Uncle Kenneth."
"But Henry..."
"If both you and Henry get into trouble, what will happen to Alex?"
Kenneth, now calmer, asked, "What should we do now, Tony?"
Tony couldn't understand why Kenneth didn't consult with others in the town and instead asked an 18-year-old boy, his son's close friend, for advice.
Tony, not expecting Kenneth to seek his opinion on what to do, looked around as if searching for something.
His gaze stopped on the sturdy iron door of the police station, and he pondered for a moment.
The door, 2.4 meters high and 1.5 meters wide, was very sturdy.
Without saying anything to Kenneth, Tony approached the door, grabbed it with both hands, and pulled hard.
The sound of the door being forcefully pulled by Tony echoed as the hinges came off, and the iron door was lifted out of its frame.
Kenneth and the others watched the scene without uttering a word. It felt like they were witnessing a scene from a movie about superhuman strength.
Someone suddenly remembered the incident where a criminal fell backward after a loud impact, and Kenneth shot him down.
At that moment, nobody saw Tony's actions. They only assumed that the guy was hit by someone else and fell before Kenneth shot him. As they advanced to control the criminals, they noticed a large broken piece of tile and a car door heavily dented.
No one cared to examine what happened as they were too preoccupied with subduing the criminals.
Now, seeing this scene, many people understood what had happened earlier.
The iron door had a sturdy cross-shaped handle in the middle, and Tony grabbed this part, turning the door into an iron shield.
With a thickness of up to 5 cm, the door indeed became an excellent bulletproof shield.
Tony said to Kenneth, "Uncle Kenneth, lead everyone closely behind me. Let's force our way inside."
Kenneth and the others were quite surprised by Tony's strength, but the crucial matter now was the safety of the police inside the station.
Kenneth and the others temporarily suppressed their curiosity and prepared for action.
Armed with four automatic rifles from the criminals, Kenneth and the others had stronger firepower than before.
They followed Tony with confidence into the police station.
Only one person and three dogs were left to keep an eye on the four criminals outside.
The corridor of the police station was only 2 meters wide, so the door almost filled the corridor, leaving just over 20 cm on each side.
Entering the dark corridor with flickering lights, everyone felt a bit tense.
Gunfire from inside continued to echo, indicating that the police were still fighting the criminals.
"Bang... Bang... Keng... Keng"
The sound of bullets hitting the door echoed, making everyone reflexively duck down.
In front, the dazzling sparks flashed continuously, resembling a fireworks display.
A criminal tasked with guarding the rear noticed Tony and the others advancing and immediately opened fire. However, he didn't expect the shield Tony was holding to be an iron plate.
The bullets couldn't penetrate it.
Seeing the door's excellent bulletproof capabilities, Tony continued to advance.
Kenneth and the others followed closely behind, confidently firing back.
The distance between them and the criminals was getting shorter.
Realizing things weren't going well, a criminal used his walkie-talkie to call the commander, "Boss, it's not good. The reinforcements are advancing with a bulletproof shield. I can't stop them."
"You, go support and stop the reinforcements coming from the outside." The gang leader instructed a nearby accomplice. He couldn't believe his underlings were losing to ordinary townspeople armed with hunting rifles.
Yet, they were still advancing towards the police station, pressuring him.
Kenneth and the others began to exchange gunfire with the criminal guarding the corridor, who couldn't resist the advance of the townspeople.
