CHAPTER 22

"You're ...."
Viviana was surprised that the leader of the Magic Tower was now suddenly in front of her. Entering her room suddenly by appearing through the chimney fireplace of this room.
Just a few seconds ago, she was thinking about that man. Now he was in front of her. Viviana's heart pounded as she looked at Raymond Wyatt's face, which wore an expression of hospitality.
"You... you... What is Mr. Leader doing here?" asked a nervous Viviana. The words that came out of her mouth stuttered because her face was reddened while being mesmerized by Raymond Wyatt's good looks.
"I apologize for my impoliteness, Lady. I have something to tell you directly," Raymond explained respectfully.
"Aaa... Very well."
Viviana who still did not understand the situation now tried to stay sober. Turning on the room light again and entertaining her uninvited guest to sit more politely.
~~~
Sitting facing each other with the table in the center as a barrier. Viviana did not dare to look directly at Raymond Wyatt's two pairs of eyes that were full of extraordinary charm.
Neither did Raymond. It was really unpleasant to enter the room of an unmarried woman in the middle of the night like this, even sneaking in through the fireplace. It could be said that this was an act only a thief would do.
A few minutes earlier, Raymond who was in the Magic Tower suddenly felt a vibration from the couple bracelet given by Lady Eustacio the other day.
The bracelet that was on Raymond, could be directly connected to the one worn by Viviana.
There was a vibration that emerged from the silver bracelet in his hand, without thinking Raymond immediately went to the Marquess Eustacio Mansion by teleportation. He even went straight into the Lady's room without any permission.
When he saw, it turned out that Lady Eustacio was fine. Making Raymond have to rack his brains to find the reason for his impolite arrival in the middle of the night.
"I have done a thorough investigation. It turns out that the Demon Lord of the Demon followers that day was not just one. But unfortunately, the investigation is still uncertain what kind of demon it is. It may be much stronger than the Nysrogh Demon or it may not."
"I want Lady to remain cautious. It's possible that the demon will also attack Lady again like Nysrogh."
"I see. ...." Viviana nodded in understanding.
"I will definitely be more careful in the future."
After that, they became silent. The silence in the room turned into awkwardness. Even tended to be confused about what else to discuss.
Both of them could not look at each other. Especially Viviana, Raymond Wyatt's presence in front of her eyes is now like a dream.
Right that was in her mind. Raymond Wyatt's presence made Viviana much calmer. As if the nightmares that plagued her disappeared instantly.
"Lady, do you have insomnia?"
Raymond's question made Viviana flinch. Staring at the man's face and blinking her eyes a few times.
"How do you know?" Viviana was stunned.
Raymond smiled slightly, "It's a natural thing. Seeing so many people dead in front of your eyes for the first time must have been a shock. Nightmares are the most common symptom that causes insomnia."
"I'm ashamed to admit it. I'm an untalented person because I have a very thin Mana. I can't use magic even if it's just casting a small object, I can't," said Viviana.
It could be seen that both golden pupils were glazed over. They held back the precious crystals when talking about her shortcomings.
"If only I could be stronger, maybe the people around me wouldn't be killed ...."
Finally, a single tear fell quickly. Viviana who lowered her head in shame could not hold back her grief and burst into tears.
"It's not your fault, Lady." Raymond wanted to say it but his lips were stiff. It was as if it was put under a spell until it was finally closed tightly so that he could not speak.
Raymond couldn't say that everything would be okay because all the bad things had happened. Hurting the little heart of a beautiful Lady like Viviana.
His right hand extended forward. He opens his palm and recites the mantra, "laetificet stellam!"
(laetificet stellam = star of joy)
Small lights appeared, similar to fireflies. She had turned off the lights in this room as well to better showcase the beautiful atmosphere.
Viviana, who lowered her head, saw a small dot-like light appear under her eyes. She stopped crying. Wiping away the tears that were pooling and blotting her cheeks.
The woman in white pajamas began to raise her head. She saw that her room was already filled with small lights like fireflies flying freely.
There was one that came closer. It touched Viviana's nose for a moment and startled her.
That one light began to descend downward. It landed on Viviana's index finger. It felt tingly and a little hot but very soothing to the mind. Viviana was immediately comforted by the presence of fireflies in this form of magic.
"Lady, not all magic power is used just to protect. What good is great power if it can't make the people around you unhappy?" Raymond said.
"Even though Lady does not have great power, Lady can make everyone amazed by you. So, don't beat yourself up and feel weak like this anymore," he added with a warm smile on his lips.
'And I am one of those people who are amazed by you.
"Yes. ...." Viviana smiled sweetly. Raymond's magic fireflies really amused her.
"Thank you for everything, Mr. Leader."
A smile so genuine, Raymond Wyatt could not control his eyes from looking at Viviana's true beauty.
"Lady Eustacio has been betrothed to the young Grand Duke of Lantchia."
He recalled the news that he had known some time ago. Raymond Wyatt quickly resuscitated his mind that had been filled with useless daydreams.
"Well... That is, can I ask one more thing from you?"
Although hesitant but Viviana really wanted it. So Raymond asked, "what thing, Lady?"
"That... Can you use magic so that I can sleep well?"
"Since yesterday I have not been able to sleep well. But, if this troubles you, you don't have to."
Viviana waved her hands quickly. In fact, she even panicked herself for asking such a trivial thing to a Magic Tower Leader.
"I'm just ...."
"Alright."
"What?!" Viviana was surprised to hear the answer that Raymond Wyatt immediately agreed to.
"But... It'll be a hassle for you, won't it?" Viviana regretted saying that.
"No, it won't. It's not troublesome magic." Raymond smiled soothingly.
Afterward, Viviana was asked to lie down on her bed. Covering herself with a blanket up to her chest. Not forgetting the slightly transparent white curtain opened to cover all the outside of the bed.
Raymond, who knew himself, turned around not to look at the unmarried woman lying on the bed.
Yes... Although he had previously laid Viviana there when carrying the Lady who was unconscious after the demon attack the other day.
"You can turn around now," Viviana said in her soft voice.
"I'll just do it in this position," Raymond replied.
Preferring to face out the window with his body facing the right side of the bed. Raymond did not dare to look directly at the bed behind him where Lady Eustacio was lying.
"Somnum exterreri... Ut esset pulchritudo."
Raymond, who was just reciting it, closed his eyes. Instantly the warm music sounded into Viviana's ears.
Comfortable and warm, it felt like all the unrest in her heart disappeared in an instant.
The drowsiness that came made Viviana slowly close her eyes. The woman had now entered into the most beautiful dreamland she had ever experienced in her life.
Raymond, who already knew Lady Eustacio had fallen asleep in her sleep, now just turned around to look at the bed.
"Sleep well, sweet dreams, Viviana Eustacio."
(somnum exterreri, ut esset pulchritudo = nightmare, depart into beauty)
