CHAPTER 21
"What did you say?! Lady Eustacio's entourage was attacked?!"
Both eyes widened as both hands pounded loudly on the table. Kyle demanded more clarity from the information his palace butler had just told him.
"That's right, Your Majesty. From the spies stationed at Marquess Eustacio's mansion, it is said that Lady Eustacio was injured and returned unconscious," Emory, the palace butler, explained.
Kyle's face immediately became gloomy. He hurried to leave, "Emory, prepare the carriage. I will go to Marquess Eustacio's mansion."
"Wait a minute, Your Highness." Kyle stopped and gave Emory a sharp look for daring to stop him.
"There's one other thing I have to say."
"Say it later," Kyle said firmly. His feet were already on the floor in front of the exit of this reading room.
"Lady Eustacio was actually helped by the people of the Magic Tower." Emory did it in one breath.
The right hand that had been holding the doorknob stopped pulling it. Kyle was even more surprised after hearing the other information.
His head turned to the right and eyes glanced back at Emory. They were sharp like a roaring lion showing its power.
"Not an ordinary wizard but the leader of the Magic Tower, Mr. Raymond Wyatt."
Her breathing stopped. Her face grew dark red at the name of the one man who had bothered her the most. And that man was now even related to her fiancé.
"Summon Viart to appear before me," was another order from Kyle.
"Yes, Your Majesty."
As soon as Kyle walked out of his room, his hands were clenched into perfect fists, like he was ready to punch anything in sight.
'How could that man have saved Viviana! What a nuisance!' he cursed to himself.

The next day, Viviana had heard from her personal maid, Jane, who told her about the leader of the Magic Tower cleaning up the Nysrogh Demon's abode.
The forest was burned to the ground after all the black power in it was absorbed and eliminated. Of course all of that could only be done by the leader of the Magic Tower who had the most powerful magic in the Scaden empire.
Viviana who was still recovering became a little calmer. Even hearing the praise and stories of the greatness of a Raymond Wyatt made her feel happy in her heart.
Knock knock knock ....
Not long after the door was knocked, someone's voice came from outside, "Miss, the Young Grand Duke of Lantchia has come to visit."
"Huh?!" Viviana was naturally surprised.
Although she had expected that her future fiancé would come but did not know that he would come to visit so soon after Viviana had been attacked.
'It's true that the Young Grand Duke of Lantchia has spies around this mansion.
"Alright. Please say I'll be out after getting ready," Viviana ordered.
"Jane, help me get ready."
Viviana who got up from her bed was carried by Jane to the dress room to change.
Meanwhile, Kyle was warmly entertained by the mansion's butler in the main living room.
The finest tea was served along with sweet treats that were perfect to eat together.
But all these mouthwatering sweet dishes were left untouched by Kyle. He was blinded by worry about how Lady Eustacio was doing.
Krieet ....
When the doors opened, Kyle immediately got up from his seat. Walking quickly to Viviana who entered with her personal maid.
"Greetings to you, Your Highness the Grand Duke."
The silver-haired woman maintained her demeanor despite being unwell. Bowed respectfully and lifted the skirt of her dress slightly.
"Lady, I heard that a demon attacked Lady after traveling back from my palace. Is that true? Is Lady injured?"
Concern could be seen directly in Kyle's eyes. Viviana also knew that the man before her was not lying about worrying about her.
Although there was a bit of the truth covered up, 'I can't say that I've known since yesterday. Lady Eustacio would definitely think that I'm the man spying on her.'
"Thank you for your concern, His Highness the Young Grand Duke. I am fine. I'm just a little surprised that the demon attacked so suddenly," Viviana explained politely.
Of course, this quick recovery was due to the help of a great witch. It was thanks to her that Viviana was able to recover quickly. Although it still left her a little traumatized.
"Thank goodness if Lady is alright."
Kyle was warmly entertained afterward. Sitting down more casually to talk about this attack.
"So the leader of the Magic Tower was the one who helped Lady?" Kyle asked.
"Yes, Your Majesty. Thanks to Mr. Raymond Wyatt I wasn't hurt in the slightest," Viviana explained.
'That man ....!'
Viviana was astonished to see the Young Grand Duke's face become gloomy, just like a furious person after hearing the name of the leader of the magic tower.
'Is His Highness the Grand Duke's relationship with the leader of the Magic Tower not good? Why is his face that gloomy?' Viviana thought in confusion.
"Very well. For the time being, Lady should rest well. Let me take care of this matter."
Kyle got up from his seat, "I won't bother Lady any longer."
Viviana also got up and was about to escort the guest home. But Kyle stopped her. Leaving the butler alone to escort her out.
Still wondering about the situation. It was clear that what Viviana heard was, 'I will ask him for clarity. How dare that man approach the fiancée of a Grand Duke.'
There seemed to be an old grudge between Kyle Lantchia and Raymond Wyatt. But Viviana could not guess for sure whether this was true or not.
***
Haa ....
Another quiet night. Ever since the attack the other day, every night Viviana had trouble sleeping.
When she closed her eyes for too long, her mind was overshadowed by the incident where her own eyes saw many dead people and their corpses scattered on the ground. The air freshener seemed to turn into a pungent smell of blood. It made Viviana experience quite severe insomnia.
At times like this, she could only calm herself. The dark room was now only illuminated by the moonlight through her bedroom window.
Viviana opened the window of her room. Letting the night breeze in and soothing her frightened heart.
She sat on the small bed under the window. Staring intently at the moon in the sky that was also filled with stars.
"I wish he was here. It might calm my mind a little...."
As she rested her forehead against the window divider, a larger blaze appeared under the chimney of her room in the corner. Viviana had to turn her head because she could hear the thunderous sound of a large fire burning.
Wusshh ....
A brighter light appeared from the fireplace. Viviana, who was surprised, stood up and saw that the light was slowly forming a human body.
The figure of a tall man, shrouded in a black cloak from shoulder to ankle. Red eyes that interrupted the darkness of the room. Staring directly at the startled Viviana.
