Chapter 29 Love’s Bitter Taste

Alexandrea laughed bitterly. "Did you just end your relationship with Ian?" Yuan asked.
"Yes," she said, her eyes gleaming with malice. "It was all part of my plan."
Yuan nodded, his lips curling into a cruel smirk. "I remember. So, now you'll replace Javier?"
Alexandrea’s laughter turned into a wicked cackle. "Of course!" she said. "I can't wait to see the two brothers at each other's throats, all because of me."
Alexandrea’s voice dripped with venom as she spoke. "They must pay what they did to me back in high school," she said. "They played my feelings, and now I'm going to make them pay."
Yuan's voice was laced with curiosity as he asked, "But when are you going to drop the bomb on them and reveal your true identity as Andrea?"
Alexandrea’s lips curled into a cruel smile. "Oh, I'm not sure yet," she said. "I'm enjoying playing this game too much."
Yuan laughed. "I can imagine," he said. "Seeing Javier and Ian suffer like this is priceless."
Alexandrea nodded. "It is," she said. "But I want to make sure that I inflict the maximum amount of pain on them before I finally break the news."
She paused for a moment, her eyes narrowing thoughtfully. "I think I'll let them tear each other apart first," she said. "And then, when they're at their weakest, I'll strike."
Yuan grinned. "That sounds like a plan," he said.
Alexandrea stood up and walked over to the window. She looked out at the city below, her eyes filled with cold determination.
"I'm going to destroy them," she said. "Both of them."
She was still looking out at the city below.
Alexandrea’s phone rang, startling her out of her thoughts. She glanced at the screen and saw her mother's name. She hesitated for a moment, wondering what her mother could possibly want.
"Mom?" she finally answered.
"Andrea," her mother said, her voice urgent. "Please come home. We need to talk."
Alexandrea’s heart sank. She knew that her mother must have found out about her revenge plan. She had been careful to keep her mother in the dark, but she must have slipped up somewhere.
"What is it?" she asked, her voice trembling.
"Just come home," her mother said. "Now."
Alexandrea sighed. "Okay," she said. "I'll be there soon."
She hung up the phone and turned to Yuan. "I have to go," she said. "My mother knows about everything."
Yuan nodded. "I understand," he said. "Just be careful."
Alexandrea nodded and walked out of the condo, her mind racing. She didn't know what to expect when she got home, but she knew that it wouldn't be good.
Alexandria burst through the door of her house, her heart pounding in her chest. She found her mother sitting in the living room, her face etched with concern.
"Mom," Alexandrea said, her voice breathless. "What's going on?"
Her mother sighed. "Andrea," she said. "Javier called me."
Alexandrea’s stomach dropped. "What did he say?" she asked.
"He said that you're not really Andrea," her mother said. "He said that your real name is Alexandrea."
Alexandrea’s heart sank. She knew that her game was up.
"Why did he call you?" Alexandrea asked.
"He said that he was worried about you," her mother said. "He said that you've been acting strange lately."
Alexandrea nodded. She knew that Javier was right. She had been acting strange. She had been consumed by her revenge plan, and she had neglected everything else.
"Mom," Alexandrea said. "I can explain."
Her mother shook her head. "I don't want to hear it," she said. "I'm just so disappointed in you."
Alexandrea’s eyes filled with tears. "I'm sorry, Mom," she said. "I really am."
Her mother stood up and walked over to the window. She looked out at the garden.
"I thought I knew you, Andrea," she said. "But now I don't know who you are anymore."
Alexandrea’s heart shattered. She had never felt so alone.
"Mom," she whispered. "Please forgive me."
Her mother didn't turn around. She just stood there, staring out the window, her shoulders shaking.
Alexandrea’s eyes pleaded with her mother. "Mom," she begged, her voice trembling. "Just leave this problem to me, please."
Her mother sighed, her eyes filled with worry. "Andrea," she said, "I'm not sure if you're capable of handling this."
Alexandrea’s heart sank. She knew that her mother was right. She had made a lot of mistakes lately, and she had hurt a lot of people.
"Mom," she said, her voice firm. "I'm asking you for your trust. Please."
Her mother looked at her for a long moment. Then, she nodded. "Okay," she said. "I'll trust you."
Alexandrea smiled gratefully. "Thank you, Mom," she said. "I won't let you down."
Alexandrea’s mother's words pierced her heart like a dagger. "I hope you hurt no people again, Andrea," she said, her voice laced with disappointment and sorrow.
"I won't, Mom," she whispered, her voice hoarse with emotion. "I promise."
Her mother sighed and placed a hand on her shoulder. "I know you're capable of great things, Andrea," she said. "But you have to promise me that you will use your gifts for good, not evil."
Alexandrea nodded solemnly. "I promise," she said. But she knew it to herself that she’s still going to continue her revenge plan.
Alexandrea’s revenge plan burned within her like a raging inferno, refusing to be extinguished. She knew that her mother had not told Javier her true identity, and she was determined to use that to her advantage.
Alexandrea’s mother retreated to her room, leaving Alexandrea alone with her thoughts. Her mind raced like a tempest, her revenge plan swirling within her like a vortex.
After an hour of restless contemplation, Alexandrea retreated to her room, her mind a tempest of conflicting emotions. She knew that she needed to rest and recharge, for the next day would be crucial to her revenge plan.
Alexandrea tossed and turned in her bed, but sleep eluded her. Her mind was ablaze with thoughts of Javier and Ian, and the hurt that she had inflicted on them.
She knew that she had gone too far, but she couldn't bring herself to regret it. She had been consumed by her anger and hatred, and she had lost sight of herself.
