I scanned the room, and my eyes fell on the huge queen-sized bed in the middle of the room. It is covered in clean white sheets. I wonder how they have managed to do all this in the middle of nowhere. Then I noticed the medium bedside tables—two of them, actually. I guess one's for me and one for him. As if. A little farther into the room, if it can actually be called one, there is a small glass-topped dressing table with a director’s chair. I guess I have actually over exaggerated the whole wildlife thing. I was expecting total darkness and bamboo beds, but here we are, with a standing fan blowing air all over the room. I guess this field trip isn't that bad after all. Well, if you remove the fact that we were asked not to bring any electronics, Come on, we are in the technology era, for crying out loud, and how can one survive without a phone? "Uhumm, I'll get cleaned up first; you can get settled," his voice echoes. Of course, another downside to the whole field trip I have almost forgotten about him. Despite the fact that I get to enjoy this luxury in his favor, But first things first. "Sir..." But he was already heading for the bathroom, and I guess he didn't hear me. Maybe later. Just the thought of that makes me feel like puking. How exactly are we going to share the tent, I wonder? So this tent also has a bathroom—resourceful, if I may say. I thought it would also be the public bathroom or the bush service. I walked outside the tent to the veranda. There are two more director’s chairs and a table. The place is also curtained, giving it a private feeling. I can feel the fresh breeze blowing around, making me feel like sleeping out here, but the chairs seem like they are only designed for seating in the tents, as there are no recliners, daybeds, or armchairs, which means there is nowhere really comfortable to sleep apart from the bed itself. Which I still don't know how we are going to share. I'd rather sleep on the floor, if you ask me. I was standing there, lost in my thoughts, when I heard his voice behind me. "Would you like to use the bathroom too?" he asks. I turn around to see that he is already dressed. Phew! I just don't want to imagine him dressing up. Truth be told, I just want an explanation from him right away, but then I also want to get changed from these clothes; they are a bit uncomfortable for sleeping. "I'd suggest you take a shower after all this trip," he adds. Right, I should. I guess I'll have to wait a little longer. We have all night to talk about it as it is. I walked over to my trolley and pushed it into the bathroom. The bathroom room too, wow! Absolute WOW!. It's nothing like I imagined as well. The bathroom has half-height wood-panel walls, a tiled floor, and an attractive ‘country cottage’ paint scheme, which makes it look a lot lighter than it would otherwise be, given the amount of tree cover and the lack of mosquito-screen ‘windows’ in the bathroom area. The bathroom also has a standard flush toilet and a walk-in shower. A walk-in shower, I tell you. But it has no shower screens. Suddenly, I imagined the professor walking in here while I was in the middle of the shower. No! That could not happen; he wouldn't even dare. I drop my trolley on the other side and start stripping off. Knowing that my teacher is on the other side of the door makes it feel so awkward. It's not like I haven't bathed in a bathroom while people are on the other side, but this This! It just doesn't feel right. I walked over and turned on the shower, and the hot water landed on my body. Who would have thought that there would be hot water in the middle of nowhere? All I was expecting was cold and chilling water, but then again, there is a shower in the bathroom, so what do I expect? I took my time to take my bath, and then I turned off the shower. I walked away from the shower after closing it off. I walk over to my trolley and open it up. Taking my utility bag, as I used to call it, I take out my brush and then walk over to the washing sink and pick up the toothpaste on it. Nice. It seems like they have everything here, except my phone, of course. I wonder how my baby is doing back home. I cleaned up my teeth and rinsed my mouth. Then I went ahead and ran some cream and changed into my night gown. It was a pretty hard choice, as I had to consider the other creature I'm going to share the room with. I rearranged my things and walked out of the room. He was sitting in the chair I saw earlier, and he seemed to be reading some magazine or something. He looks up briefly at me, and then he continues reading his paper. I placed my trolley in a corner, next to his duffel bag. I slowly walk over to the bed and sit. For a few minutes that seemed like forever, I kept on pondering how I should start speaking with him. He seems so intent on his reading, and I'm afraid he will shun me off again. But then I manage to gather all the anger I've stored since we arrived here and start talking. Uhmm, sir, I think we need to talk."
